    ALTBalaji introduces ‘Tyohar Entertainment Ka’ offer for festive season

    MUMBAI: OTT platform ALTBalaji has undergone a diligent expansion over the course of the year. Through clutter-breaking originals spanning genres, it has been entertaining the audiences in geographies and age-groups. Ahead of the festive season, the digital platform is now launching a consumer brand campaign called ‘Tyohar Entertainment Ka’. Under this campaign, ALTBalaji is introducing special offers for users across Delhi NCR and Pune from 21 December 2018 to 3 January 2019.

    With an eclectic library of original content, ALTBalaji has witnessed threefold increase in direct subscribers. ALTBalaji is constantly experimenting with content across genres like thriller, comedy, mystery, dark humour and romance drama by associating with the best talent from the industry. Shows like The Test Case sparked off discussions on women empowerment and their role in Indian armed forces. Through Gandii Baat- a show on urban sensual love stories, Baby Come Naa, a rib -tickling comedy and The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family, a dark comedy, the platform has proven its diversity. Its family drama HOME won accolades at various award ceremonies and was loved by the audience and media alike. Adding to this line-up has been is its recently released thriller Apharan that has been a runaway success and has kept the audiences hooked.

    ‘Tyohar Entertainment Ka’ is a 14-day campaign that will be open for audiences from the regions of Pune and Delhi NCR. The contest encourages audiences to download an annual subscription pack which is available only for Rs 300. The participant must then answer a simple question on the contest page. Each day, ALTBalaji will pick lucky winners and gratify them. Every day, 151 lucky winners receive Book My Show vouchers worth Rs 250 each; while one mega winner will go on to win an all-exclusive premium gold gift card worth Rs 10,000.

    Divya has 19 years of experience in marketing and brand building across industries – digital, broadcast, telecom and music. She has been instrumental in launching various brands, revival of brands, consumer journeys, creating revenue opportunities, product designing and designing sales currencies through consumer insights across her earlier stints. Her last assignment was with ZEE5 where she incubated the brand ‘ZEE5 ‘and ‘ZEE5 Originals’ as well as launched the platform and multiple Original shows. She has been associated with high visibility and top rated on- ground and on-air properties such as ‘Karenjit Kaur’ and ‘Sunburn’ to name a few.

  • Zee Digital Convergence: Divya Dixit joins as head of marketing

    MUMBAI: After shutting down its Mumbai operations, the global internet and technology conglomerate LeEco’s director – content marketing for India Divya Dixit has joined Zee Digital Convergence as the head of marketing.

    It is learnt from a source that Dixit will report to Zee Entertainment Z5 India business head of digital Archana Anand.

    Dixit will lead digital marketing (online, mobile, app and VAS) for dittoTV and OZEE, the OTT offering from the stable of Zee Entertainment Enterprise.

    With 18 years of experience and having worked in a mix of marketing and building brands across multiple industries of retail, broadcasting, telecom and music, Dixit has managed teams up to 40 people and budgets in excess of INR 100 crore.

    Before joining Zee, she was a part of LeEco for almost a year before the company started curtailing operations and eventually shut Mumbai operations.

    Having had many feathers in her hat, Dixit was the head of marketing in Percept Live from April 2014 – March 2016. She created merchandising and space selling categories at Barista, launched a telecom brand at Tata Docomo, new business channel at UTV Network and created new IP at Saregama, etc.

    LeEco has shown signs of aggression and has announced a slew of content initiatives and acquisitions in Asia over the past few months.

The soon to launch platform plans to produce as well as commission content for its viewers in India. It has Atul Jain as the COO Smart Electronics Business in conjunction with Debashish Ghosh COO looking after the entire Indian content business and Divya Dixit as director of content marketing for India.

    The company recently launched its flagship superphones, Le Max and Le1s, in the Indian market. As a partner, ErosNow will be integrated within the Le ecosystem of internet enabled smartphones and smart televisions, showcasing ErosNow’s Bollywood films, music and originals. Devices will include a one-year premium subscription to ErosNow service pre-bundled with the purchase of the phones. The launch of Le 2 Superphone by LeEco has stirred the pricing landscape in India and has given a new lease of vibrancy to the smartphone market in India.

    LeEco has once again renewed its exclusive partnership with Flipkart. An agreement cementing this alliance was signed off between Atul Jain and Flipkart chief marketing officer Samardeep Subandh.

Dixit will be based in Mumbai. In her new role, she will look after the global content platform in digital space and will work towards building the brand’s presence stronger in India. Dixit was unavailable for comment.

    The company will focus on embedded content for TV and mobile phones and will also launch its own direct content platform in this financial year. For this new platform, the internet and technology organization will acquire content as well as produce substantial hours of original content for its audience.

    In January this year, the company had tied-up with Eros Now for video-on-demand (VOD) and YuppTV for TV content streaming. While its partnership with Yupp TV will give its users access to YuppTV’s catalogue of live TV channels, the deal with Eros Now will allow the on-the-go users to watch Bollywood content and regional movies on LeEco phones.

    It has now renewed its exclusive partnership with Flipkart for the launch of its next phone in India. An agreement to this effect was signed yesterday by LeEco India COO smart electronic business Atul Jain and Flipkart VP business Anil Goteti.

    The international firm headquartered in Beijing has already set up a service office in Delhi while its content division will be based in Mumbai. The company’s technical office is based in Bangalore. All the executives in the top management from India will report to the senior management in Beijing. The company is undergoing restructuring inform sources.

    Earlier, the company had launched two smart phones in India, Le 1s and Le Max, which were available exclusively on Flipkart. With a record of bringing path breaking innovations to the country, the LeFans will see entertainment playing a whole new way and can expect a super announcement on 3 May 2016.

    LeEco also launched an all-electric concept on 26 April 2016 that aspires to beat Tesla at its own game. It presented its first self-driving automobile, dubbed LeSEE Super EV, at the Beijing Motor Show and described it as a smart connected electric vehicle.
