Notice & District turn popcorn into crowned glory

MUMBAI: What happens when cinema meets design? You get a popcorn bucket that wears a crown. In a spectacular fusion of creativity and fandom, District and Notice, the design-led experimental object brand, have joined forces to create a one-of-a-kind collectible for the 10-year anniversary launch of Bahubali: The Epic. The collaboration celebrates not just the film’s grand return but the fans who made it legendary.

The idea was born when District suggested reimagining the iconic crown of Bahubali, a symbol of power, legacy, and cinematic grandeur. Notice took that spark and transformed it into an elevated design experience that turns an everyday popcorn bucket into a work of art.

The result, a bucket crowned with a sculpted topper, blending functionality with fandom and turning a regular movie snack into a keepsake worthy of royalty.

Crafted by Notice’s team of designers, engineers, and makers, each limited-edition piece reflects meticulous craftsmanship, every curve and contour designed to feel as intentional as it is iconic.

“Rather than just create merchandise, we wanted to design a moment,” said the team at Notice. “A simple act like eating popcorn becomes a connection to Bahubali’s epic spirit.”

Available exclusively at Miraj Cinemas, Mumbai, during the film’s release, this limited-edition collaboration stands as a love letter to storytelling, scale, and design that makes even the smallest gestures feel monumental.

Sonu sets Dal Lake afloat with melodies in Srinagar’s first mega concert

MUMBAI: When the valley sings, the world listens. On Sunday, 26 October 2025, Srinagar will echo with music as Sonu Nigam headlines the first-ever live concert of its scale in Kashmir, a spectacle curated by NDTV Good Times at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), framed by the shimmering Dal Lake and the mighty Himalayas.

The evening will be more than a setlist of filmy hits. It will carry the weight of history, with Nigam paying tribute to Mohammed Rafi, the golden voice of Indian cinema, on the year marking a century of his birth. For fans, hearing Rafi saab’s immortal melodies reimagined against Dal Lake’s twilight shimmer promises to be nothing short of spine-tingling.

“It is more special because we have not seen the celebration of 100 years of the late Mohammed Rafi sahab at Dal Lake. Can you imagine!” said Sonu Nigam. “The whole world knows my connection with my peer, my guru, my inspiration but celebrating his legacy at Dal Lake in Kashmir, celebrating the zest of Kashmir, is going to be really wonderful and special. Looking forward to see you all there.”

The choice of SKICC as the venue is no accident. Nestled on Dal’s banks, its quiet grandeur will transform into a stage where nature becomes part of the performance. As dusk falls, the lake will mirror the stage lights, turning the concert into a once-in-a-lifetime union of landscape and sound.

NDTV CEO & editor-in-chief Rahul Kanwal framed the event as a cultural milestone: “Good Times was created as a canvas for India’s most extraordinary cultural expressions. To bring Sonu Nigam to Srinagar, with the Dal Lake as his stage, is an affirmation of India’s confidence in presenting its heritage, its beauty, and its artistry to the world. This concert is a defining cultural moment for Kashmir and for the country.”

Adding to that, NDTV Good Times chief experiences officer Rahul Kumar Shaw said: “When we said Good Times will be about extraordinary experiences, this is what we meant. The first one is here Sonu Nigam at Dal Lake, a never-seen-before cultural spectacle that puts Srinagar on the world stage. We are the first ones in many years to come here and create something of this scale, and it is a privilege to do so in Kashmir, a land whose people have an unmatched spirit. We’ve promised audiences that every NDTV Good Times experience will be bigger, richer, and more immersive, and this evening is exactly that, a concert you don’t just attend, but one you carry back with you.”

For Kashmir, long immortalised in poetry and cinema, this isn’t just about melodies under the stars. It is about reclaiming a space on the cultural world map, showing the valley as a venue of celebration, pride, and artistry.

Tickets for the concert, available exclusively on District, are already in high demand, with limited seating adding urgency to what is billed as one of Kashmir’s most significant cultural events.

On 26 October, as Sonu Nigam’s voice floats over Dal Lake, the valley will not just host a concert, it will witness music, memory and mountains merge into history.

Zomato changes corporate name to Eternal

MUMBAI; After gorging on acquisitions from Blinkit to Paytm’s ticketing business, the Indian food delivery giant formerly known as Zomato has rebranded itself as Eternal Ltd—though fans need not worry, as the familiar Zomato app will continue to serve up curry in a hurry.

The company, founded by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah in 2008, received approval from the registrar of companies at the ministry of corporate affairs on 20 March, marking the culmination of a rebranding process first announced to stock exchanges in February. What began as a restaurant discovery service has morphed into an ambitious conglomerate with fingers in many pies. After floating on the stock market in July 2021 at a whopping valuation north of $8 billion, Zomato—pardon, Eternal—has been cooking up a storm of diversification.

The aptly named Eternal has shown a voracious appetite for expansion. In June 2022, it splashed out $568 million to snap up quick-commerce upstart Blinkit, allowing customers to receive groceries and essentials in minutes rather than hours.

.Last August 2024, the corporate tentacles stretched further with the launch of District, an events and ticketing app built on the bones of Paytm’s ticketing business. It runs a B2B service company addressing procurement and supply chain challenges for the HoReCa industry, which includes hotels, restaurants, and cloud kitchens. It offers ingredient sourcing, a modern central kitchen, and temperature-controlled warehousing and logistics to support the growth of restaurants and quick commerce.

Zomaland by Zomato is India’s largest food and entertainment carnival to enjoy a wide range of culinary delights, an assortment of fun games and a fantastic artist line-up to ensure your weekend is truly what it should be – filled with food, fun and frolic! It also runs Weather Union  – which tracks weather across the country.

While the corporate entity will henceforth answer to Eternal Limited, the food delivery app that made the company’s name will continue to operate under the Zomato brand, ensuring that hungry Indians need not learn a new name when their tummies start to rumble.

  • Deepinder Goyal’s Zomato levels up to its final form: Eternal Ltd.

Deepinder Goyal’s Zomato levels up to its final form: Eternal Ltd.

MUMBAI: It’s official! Zomato, the brand that revolutionised food delivery in India, is stepping into a new era under the corporate name Eternal Ltd. Founder & CEO Deepinder Goyal has revealed this strategic transformation, marking a significant shift in the company’s vision beyond food delivery and into a broader, more enduring business ecosystem.

Why the change? Well, when you’ve built a brand that’s synonymous with convenience, innovation, and sheer hustle, the next step is to future-proof it. Eternal Ltd. isn’t just a name—it’s a mindset. It represents a company that is built to last, a powerhouse that goes beyond Zomato’s food delivery dominance to encompass Blinkit, District, and Hyperpure.

Revealing the motivation behind the rebrand, Goyal shared that Eternal isn’t about claiming invincibility—it’s about acknowledging the journey, the challenges, and the constant evolution required to stay relevant. “True permanence isn’t built on bold claims. It is forged in self-doubt, hunger, and the relentless pursuit of being better than yesterday,” he wrote in his letter to shareholders. Talk about poetic business moves!

Beyond food, this marks the birth of a new age conglomerate. This shift signifies a larger play— Our beloved Zomato is no longer just about food. Eternal Ltd. will house four key businesses:

Zomato (Food delivery and dining services)

     Blinkit (Quick-commerce champion)

     District (A yet-to-be-revealed exciting venture)

Hyperpure (B2B food supply for restaurants)

The company has already received Board approval for the name change, and once shareholders give the green light, Zomato Ltd. will officially become Eternal Ltd. The stock ticker will change from ZOMATO to ETERNAL, and the corporate website will transition from zomato.com to eternal.com.

Seventeen years ago, Goyal started Zomato—then Foodiebay—by simply uploading restaurant menus online. Fast forward to today, and the company has become India’s first tech startup to enter the BSE Sensex, creating significant wealth for employees, investors, and shareholders alike. The journey from a menu aggregator to a top-30 listed Indian company has been nothing short of legendary.

Eternal Ltd. aims to be bigger, bolder, and broader in its impact. With Blinkit’s meteoric rise in quick-commerce, the food-tech giant is looking at new growth engines that will keep it relevant for decades to come. This isn’t just a name change-it’s a statement of intent.

For customers, nothing changes-Zomato will remain your favourite go-to for food cravings. But as a company, Eternal Ltd. is setting its sights on an even grander future, one where it plays a bigger role in shaping India’s digital commerce landscape.

Final bite – A food delivery empire turning into a multi-industry conglomerate? That’s one eternal glow-up! Now, the only question that remains-what’s next on the menu?
