    Mumbai: This June, Warner Bros. Discovery has left no stone unturned in delivering a month brimming with joy and entertainment for the kids with thrilling shows and movies. As the heat goes up, Cartoon Network, POGO, and Discovery Kids dial up the entertainment temperature with action-packed movies and mind-bending shows.

    Cartoon Network has packed the entertainment punch this June with a bit of anime and nostalgia, offering a lineup which fans can’t afford to miss! With new episodes from ‘One Piece Land of Wano Arc’ every Monday to Friday at 9 pm keeping fans on the edge of the seat as Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat pirates try to win against all odds of the sea.  Sunday’s will also feature brand new episodes of ‘My Hero Academia – Season 5’ every Sunday at 11:30 am from 16 June, as Izuku tries to uphold the legendary glory of his mentor, All Might.     This Holi season, fans will join the mysteries and heroic experiences with ‘Teen Titans Go!’ on Cartoon Network, where a marathon of specials, movies and themed episodes starts 24 March till 29 March from 11:30 am onwards.     On POGO, starting 23 March to  29 March at 11:30 am, fans will enjoy daily specials – movies, premieres, and new tales featuring India’s favourite homegrown superhero ‘Chhota Bheem’ and supercop ‘Little Singham’. The Holi weekend will also take viewers on an exciting adventure as Bal Hanuman joins Chhota Bheem’s fight over evil with the premiere of part three of the Big Picture – ‘Chhota Bheem aur Bal Hanuman’, ensuring a colourful and joyous celebration for kids and families on Sunday, 24 March at 11:30 am.

    Mumbai: This Diwali, Warner Bros. Discovery joins the family celebrations with an exciting programming lineup across its children’s entertainment channels: Cartoon Network, POGO, and Discovery Kids. Beginning on October 22, the channels will provide viewers with a fun-filled ride featuring popular animated characters like Little Singham, Teen Titans Go!, Chhota Bheem, Titoo, and Ekans throughout the week in multiple regional languages.

    Throughout Diwali week, POGO will broadcast Diwali Cinema Wali, which will feature movies from popular homegrown shows such as Ekans: Snakes Awake!, Titoo-Har Jawaab Ka Sawaal Hu, and Chhota Bheem. Additionally, on 22-23 October , viewers will be treated to two brand new movies, Ping Pong ki Circus, starring Titoo, and Mahavinashi ka Vinash, starring Chhota Bheem and his gang.

    From 22 October, Discovery Kids will ramp up the celebrations with Little Singham movies every day at 11:30 a.m., including the premieres of the mini-series Mahabali Little Singham: Badhta Khatra and Mahabali Little Singham: Mirchigad Par Hamla on 22 and 30 October, respectively.

    On 23 October, at 11:30 a.m., the channel will also debut its new 3D tele-feature, Legend of Shervansh, for young viewers.

    Cartoon Network will bring Teen Titans Go! Diwali Celebrations for kids to enjoy brand-new episodes of its popular superhero comedy series, Teen Titans Go!, beginning on 22 October at 11:30 a.m.

    The premiere of Digimon Adventure: in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on 24 October at 8 p.m. will add a sparkle of exciting anime content to the channel’s festive season line-up.

    Mumbai: Discovery Kids is launching a new animated series ‘Bunty Billa aur Babban’ on 18 April at 1 pm and 7 pm from Monday to Friday. The slap-stick comedy series is produced by Toonz Media Group.

    The show follows the contrasting duo Bunty (the parrot) and Billa (the cat) who live in the same house. While Billa’s ambitions rest in living an easy life, he is annoyed with the hysterics of Bunty who never stops troubling him. Bunty unleashes mayhem in the house, inciting chaos, and confusion everywhere. Babban, the donkey also joins the duo, escalating the fun conflicts and comic situations. The Bollywood-inspired voiceover enhances the entertainment quotient.

    “We are on a journey of innovating our offerings and creating franchises out of characters that not only engage but also help expand our consumer footprint and provide a healthy dose of entertainment,” said Discovery Kids business head Uttam Pal Singh.

    “Bunty Billa aur Babban – the slap-stick comedy is a fun addition to our existing differentiated IPs including stylish and action-packed superhero in town ‘Little Singham’ and best slice-of-life school comedy ‘Fukrey Boyzzz’. It will further cement Discovery Kids’ position as the most preferred brand in the kids’ category,” he added.

    “This is Toonz’s first collaboration with Discovery Kids and we are really happy to forge this association with ‘Bunty Billa aur Babban’, which is a show that has tremendous potential to turn into a hugely successful kids IP,” added Toonz Media Group CEO P Jayakumar.

    Mumbai: On 17 July, Animation Xpress concluded the second edition of KAM Kids Animation & More summit that successfully brought together all the stakeholders of the animation space from all across the globe. The summit was followed by a grand award ceremony titled the ANN Awards 2021 where the best talents in the world of animation were honoured and recognised for their artistry and creativity.

    KAM Summit and ANN awards were presented by Nick and co-powered by Cosmos-Maya, Unreal-Engine and Discovery Kids. YOTTA served as the workstation partner and OTT service partner whereas Green Gold Animation was the summit partner. ABAI promoting Centre of Excellence (COE) were the associate partners and the event was supported by in10 Media – GUBBARE and HUION. Tokyo-based TBS’ Digicon6 Asia was the festival partner and ASIFA India was the community partner.

    Animators, studios, and individuals from institutes participated across 66 categories, setting a benchmark in the animation space. Over 300 artists were judged by a well-qualified 10-member jury through an online mechanism. The jurors were Vidit Kundra, Shilpa Ranade, Yoshiya Ayugai, Sekhar Mukherjee, Joan Vogelesang, Indrajit Nattoji, Anil Wanvari, Vivek Ram, Jack Liang, Dhimant Vyas.

    The winners will receive the Ann Awards trophy along with digital certificates.

    This year to honour the creative genius and champion of Indian animation industry, the late Arnab Chaudhuri, AnimationXpress introduced a new recognition, ‘The Arnab Chaudhuri Director’s Award’. To select the winners, an Awards Committee was put in place that consisted of people who have been associated with Arnab and understood his philosophies- Vaibhav Kumaresh, Ashish Kulkarni, Pete Bishop, Orion Ross, P Jayakumar, Prakash Moorthy, Hari Varma, Anil Wanvari and Ashima Avasthi.

    The winning student director under ‘The Arnab Chaudhuri Young Ace Award – Short Form content’ will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 15,001 and the winner of ‘The Arnab Chaudhuri Young Ace Award – Long fort Form content’ will be awarded with Rs 33,001. The cash prize is a joint contribution from Ashima Avasthi, Vaibhav Kumaresh and AnimationXpress. The winners will also receive a digital tablet from our support partner HUION.
