    Abhinav Kaushik moves on from dentsu after 9 years

    MUMBAI: Taproot Dentsu’s executive vice president & head of office – Delhi & Mumbai, Abhinav Kaushik has stepped down from his role at the agency. Having joined Dentsu Marcom in 2013 as vice president in account management, he was just one year short of completing a decade.

    In his nine years at the agency, Kaushik handled a gamut of leadership roles at Dentsu, working on many successful brand initiatives and multi-stage integrated campaigns across the funnel for brands like Honda (Honda Cars & Honda Two Wheelers), Dulux, Airtel, Microsoft, Shell, Oppo, Canon, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, Nokia, CP Plus, Fast&Up, Jack & Jones, Dainik Bhaskar, and Toshiba.

    Sharing the news on his LinkedIn page, Kaushik wrote: “My 9 years at dentsu international india & Taproot Dentsu (A dentsuMB Company) have truly been a rollercoaster ride. What has made this ride special is the stellar team of some immensely talented people who have helped me learn every single day.”

    “As they say, great things are never done by one person, they are done by a team of people. So gratitude to all my team members, colleagues & partners,” he further wrote, adding, “Over to the next chapter now.”

    Kaushik did not disclose his future plans in the post, though.

    Prior to dentsu, Kaushik was vice president and client services director at JWT for over six years, where he worked on brands such as Airtel, Sony, GSK, Pizza Hut and Microsoft.

    Previously, he has worked with agencies such as Contract and M&C Saatchi. He started his career in sales and marketing at GE Capital, working on the branding, integrated marketing, planning, strategising and repositioning exercises for brands such as Airtel, Sony (Bravia, Vaio, Cybershot, Walkman, Handycam), GSK (Boost portfolio), Pizza Hut, Dabur (Real Juices’ portfolio), NIIT, Microsoft, British Airways, Shell, Indian School of Business, Revlon, Godfrey Phillips, and Asian Paints.

    Dentsu Creative India names Sudhir Das as executive creative director

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Creative India has announced the appointment of Sudhir Das as executive creative director (ECD). He will report into Dentsu Webchutney & dentsuMB chief creative officer (CCO) Arjuna Gaur.

    In his new role, Das will oversee and strengthen the creative capabilities of the agency’s Bengaluru office, further leveraging the power of ‘Modern Creativity’ across brands, according to the agency.

    Armed with two decades of experience, Das has won over 50 national and international awards. Prior to this, he was with Leo Burnett as an associate executive creative director (AECD). In his previous roles, he has worked with brands like Coca-Cola, Nestle, Apple and Airtel, to name a few. His notable campaigns include ‘Ras-Ras mein India’, ‘Me and Meri Maggi’, ‘Spicejet Democracy’ and ‘Cardekho Back-Off’ – covering the gamut from large, populist, TV-led campaigns to documentary-style film-making to super-technical experiments marrying cars and music.

    Speaking on the appointment, Arjuna Gaur said, “Sudhir Das is an experienced creative leader with some of the world’s biggest brands in his portfolio. He is as comfortable with mainline advertising as he is with new age forms and is an engineer to boot! A brilliant well-rounded creative, Sudhir will be an invaluable addition to the team.”

    Dentsu Creative India was recently declared the ‘Agency of The Year’ at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity 2022 – a first-ever for India.     Mumbai: dentsu India has announced the appointment of Arjuna Gaur as chief creative officer (CCO), dentsu Webchutney and dentsuMB. Both agencies are part of dentsu Creative India that brings together creative, digital and PR under one umbrella.

    In his new role, Gaur will work toward expanding the creative mandate for both agencies. He will lead creative thought leadership across the network and combine the expertise of dentsu Webchutney and dentsuMB to deliver future-forward creative solutions for clients, said the agency in a statement.

    Gaur will report to dentsu Creative India group chief creative officer India (GCCO) Ajay Gahlaut. “It is a privilege to have yet another brilliant creative onboard as part of the team. Arjuna is a rare creative person who is equally adept at traditional and new-age media,” said Gahlaut on the new appointment. “He has added great value to the brands that he has been associated with. We are looking forward to him significantly raising the creative quality of our output and adding even more value to the solutions that we provide to our clients.”

    With more than 16 years of experience, Gaur has won over 40 national and international awards. Prior to this, he has held creative leadership roles at agencies like Leo Burnett India, MNC Saatchi Kuala Lumpur, BBDO India, and Grey. In his professional journey thus far, Gaur has worked with brands such as Coca-Cola, Amazon, P&G, PepsiCo, Wrigley’s, Celcom, Airtel, GE India, HP, Apple, Volkswagen, Deutsche Bank and Spotify amongst others. He has also worked with teams that have produced some of the best campaigns of the decade. He has been a filmmaker with Equinox Films, and is a multi-instrumental musician and collector of vintage computer hardware.

    dentsumcgarrybowen India elevates Indrajeet Mookherjee to managing partner

    MUMBAI: dentsumcgarrybowen (dentsuMB), the integrated agency from the house of dentsu India, has promoted Indrajeet Mookherjee to the role of managing partner. Mookherjee will now lead the agency nationally and will report into dentsuMB Group CEO Sidharth Rao, the agency said in a statement. 

    dentsumcgarrybowen is part of the larger, newly formed dentsuMB group, which houses a cluster of creative agencies from within the dentsu creative service line of business. 

    Prior to this, Mookherjee was dentsuMB president – South, where he led operations for offices in Bangalore, Chennai, and Kochi. Mookherjee joined dentsu India as executive vice president in 2016. Prior to dentsu, he was managing director at Soho Square, Indonesia – part of the Ogilvy Group. 

    Mookherjee is armed with more than two decades of experience in leadership roles across some of the leading communication networks in India and Indonesia including names such as Lowe Lintas, Ogilvy, and Leo Burnett. He has also worked on significant brands such as Unilever, Nestle, Mondelez, Apple, Himalaya Herbal, AB InBev, and Toyota.

    Speaking on the elevation, Sidharth Rao said, “As we continue to strengthen and reshape our creative offering in the Indian market, we needed a leader who is experienced, connected, and understands the nuances of the communication landscape. Indrajeet, with his experience in managing brands and categories across South and Southeast Asia, was the perfect choice to helm our operations.
