  • Dentsu Media wins media planning duties of SEBI

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Media has bagged the media planning duties of the Securities and Exchange Board of India‘s (SEBI) multimedia investor education and awareness campaign.

    The agency won the account following a multi-agency pitch in which 13 renowned agencies had participated including Alaknanda Advertising, Allied Media, Carat Media, Dentsu Communciations, Lintas Media Group, Lodestar U M, Zenith Optimedia, Span Communications, R K Swamy BBDO, Prachar Communications and Purnima Advertising Agency.

    The appointment is for a period of two years.

    Dentsu Media CEO Divya Gupta said, “It is an absolute honour to handle SEBI‘s media business. We are extremely proud to have won this opportunity of partnering with one of the apex regulatory authority of India, and we look forward to the kind of work that we would be able to do in this category.”

    A senior SEBI official said, “We are glad on appointment of Dentsu as the media agency for our investor awareness campaign. The appointment has taken place after a detailed competitive and transparent process, and we now look forward to work together, so as to achieve the objectives set out for this campaign”.

    Dentsu Media, along with Ogilvy & Mather as creative agency, will provide communication planning to SEBI in its investor education and awareness campaign, which is aimed at educating and creating awareness amongst retail investors and also converting the savers into investors.

    MUMBAI: Dentsu India’s full service media agency Dentsu Media has been awarded the media duties for Indo-Nissin Foods, the Indian subsidiary of Japan-based Nissin Foods Holdings.

    The account will be managed out of Bangalore. Incidentally, Dentsu Communications handles the creative duties for Indo-Nissin Foods out of Bangalore.

    Dentsu Media will be in charge of the complete media planning and buying responsibilities from Indo-Nissin Foods including the brands Top Ramen and Cup Noodles. Recently the company’s flagship brand, Top Ramen, underwent a revamp in its bid to increase market share in the instant noodles category in India.

    Dentsu India appoints Divya Gupta as the CEO

    MUMBAI: Dentsu India has roped in Divya Gupta as its chief executive officer.

    Prior to Dentsu India, Gupta was an independent consultant advising and consulting marketers, media agencies and owners in the media business.

    Her key priorities in Dentsu will be to consolidate its media business in India and cement its media competencies with global proprietary tools, knowledge and best practices from across the Dentsu Global Network, the company said in a statement.

    Dentsu India Group executive chairman Rohit Ohri said, “Divya is one of those few rigorously seasoned media professionals to have witnessed the evolution of Indian media while being a key contributor to it. Her long-drawn engagements with media, as agency head, marketer, owner and strategic advisor have given her an almost uninterrupted consciousness of the dynamic media landscape.     Percept bags media & creative mandates of FedEx

    MUMBAI: Percept Limited has bagged the media and creative mandates of logistic services company, FedEx.


    Percept’s media buying and planning arm, Allied Media, will handle the media duties. Percept/H, the companys advertising arm, will take care of the creative mandate.


    An official from the agency confirmed the news.


    Earlier, Dentsu Media handled the media duties, while Dentsu Communications oversaw the creative duties of FedEx.

    McCann Erickson bags Aircel’s creative duties

    MUMBAI: McCann Erickson has won the creative duties of telecom major, Aircel.

    The news has been confirmed to Indiantelevision.com by the agency‘s spokesperson.

    The size of the account is estimated to be Rs 2 billion.

    The mandate was awarded following a multi-agency pitch, which also involved BBH, BBDO, DDB Mudra and the incumbent, Dentsu Communications. 

    The media mandate continues to stay with Dentsu Media and Starcom Worldwide. The Outdoor advertising is looked after by US Adcom.

    McCann has lost one of its most important clients, Onida, recently, but the Aircel account is a major win for the agency. A few months back the agency had also won the GM account.

    R K Swamy to handle entire media planning of Raymond

    MUMBAI: Textile and apparel major, Raymond has consolidated its entire media planning and buying with R K Swamy Media Group, a part of the R K Swamy Hansa Group.

    Earlier, Starcom and Dentsu Media were the other two agencies that were handling some of Raymond‘s businesses.

    R K Swamy will now handle the brands and businesses of Raymond, Park Avenue, Parx, Colour Plus, J K Helene Curtis and J K Ansell.
