    Honda CBR continues to be with Dentsu Marcom

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Marcom has retained the media account of Honda‘s sports bike brand CBR.

    Sources from the agency have confirmed the development to Indiantelevision.com.

    Honda had called the pitch for CBR and Dio in December last year.

    The Honda CBR models are a series of sports bikes. Honda Motorcycles will soon launch seven new bike models in India that include 2012 model of CBR 250R, CBR 150R, 2012 model of CB Shine, CBR 1000RR Fireblade, 2012 model of Dio and VT 1300CX.

    Dentsu Marcom regains DS Group account

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Marcom will once again handle the account for two brands from the Dharampal Satyapal (DS) Group, namely, the mouth freshener brand PassPass and a soon to be launched chewing gum brand.

    The pitch for the account saw participation from agencies like Law & Kenneth, Euro RSCG, and Publicis.

    The aim of the agency will be to create a high impact campaign for PassPass and the upcoming chewing gum. The new chewing gum brand will mark the DS Group‘s entry into the confectionary segment in the FMCG sector.

    Dentsu Marcom COO Hiroshi Omata said in a statement, “In DS Group, we found a supportive, like-minded client-partner who had the vision and foresight to appreciate the cut-through creative idea we presented and see the value and potential of the same. Winning this exciting account is a great beginning and we look forward to create some great work on our journey together!”

    Upputuru to be promoted as Dentsu national creative director

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Marcom has promoted its executive creative director Titus Upputuru as the national creative director.

    Upputuru will be replacing former NCD Nitin Suri, who left the agency last month.

    A series of new appointments is expected soon. After Dentsu bought out its joint venture partner in India in January this year, four senior executives have resigned, the latest being Dentsu India president Rajesh Aggarwal.

    Nitin Suri quits Dentsu Marcom

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Marcom national creative director Nitin Suri has resigned from his position.
     
    Suri will be serving his notice period till middle of May.

    Suri’s resigning comes just a few months after his elevation from executive creative director to NCD.
     
    Suri has an experience of nearly 18 years. He began his career with Rediffusion-Y&R and worked there for 11 years before joining Dentsu Marcom as executive creative director.
     
    Later Suri moved to Bates 141 as ECD before returning to Dentsu Marcom two years later.

    During his stint at Dentsu, he has worked on various clients including Iffco-Tokyo General Insurance, Canon cameras, FedEx, Park Avenue and Honda Accord.

    Titus Upputuru joins Dentsu Marcom as ECD

    BANGALORE: The Dentsu India Group announced today the appointment of Titus Upputuru as executive creative director, Dentsu Marcom.

    In his new role, Titus will lead the agency’s creative efforts on Honda (cars and bikes), Sharp and new businesses.

    Based out of Delhi, Upputuru will report in to Dentsu Marcom CEO Hiroshi Omata.

    This assignment marks the return of Upputuru Dentsu. Earlier, Upputuru was executive creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi where he worked on brands such as Harley Davidson and Ranbaxy.

    Starting with Madhyam DMB&B (now, Publicis India) as copy trainee, Upputuru in his 15-year career has worked with Trikaya Grey (now Grey Worldwide), TBWA Anthem (now TBWA India), Delhi based Ushak Kaal and Ogilvy & Mather India. His brand expertise includes campaigns for Afghan Telecom, the Hutch Delhi Marathon, Sprite (Seedhi Baat No Bakwaas), Kinley (Boond Boond Mein Vishwas), Kentucky Fried Chicken (especially, Institute of Lickonomics), Fanta, Grasim Suitings, WWF and Dabur to name a few.
