    Hungama & Eva Live to host IGX edition six in Mumbai

    Mumbai: Hungama and Eva Live have announced the return of the Indian Gaming Expo (IGX), an esports and gaming festival, scheduled for 24-25 January 2025 at Nesco Ground, Mumbai.

    The sixth edition will feature esports tournaments, cosplay competitions, meet-and-greet sessions, panel discussions, and game development workshops, appealing to gaming enthusiasts nationwide.

    Hungama’s involvement in IGX 2025 represents a step towards mainstreaming gaming culture in India. The company’s expertise across music, video, entertainment news, and gaming will enhance the event’s offerings, providing entertainment and interactive experiences for attendees.

    Mumbai: Homegrown digital platform Live101 has announced Deepak Choudhary as a new addition to its board of directors.

    Choudhary commands over 19 years of experience in the events industry and he is the founder & director of Laqshya Event Capital and EVENTFAQS.

    “Deepak’s extensive experience and expertise in the events industry coupled with his experience as a serial entrepreneur in the F&B and event media space, is sure to add immense value to Live101’s future,” said Live101 co-founder and director Sachin Bhandari. “We look forward to Deepak becoming a part of the Live101 family,” he added.

    Founded in 2017, Live101 is India’s premier, tech-based, on-demand live entertainment platform, that provides artists anywhere, anytime. The digital-only platform was founded with the aim of eliminating middlemen when it comes to hiring artists for live events. It aims at supporting local artists as well as provide entertainers for live-at-home and outdoor events, said the statement.

    “I am extremely humbled to be joining Live101 as a director.     Choudhary made a foray into the events industry back when it was in its infancy in the early 2000s. From education and the F&B businesses to founding Laqshya Event Capital and EVENTFAQS, and even co-authoring his first-ever book on the Indian live events space “Staged”, he dons multiple hats.

    MUMBAI: Event Capital (a Laqshya Media company) has won the award for the ‘Best New IP’ and for the‘Best Integrated Marketing Communications for an IP’ for its intellectual property Bollywood Music Project (BMP).

    BMP curates experimental Bollywood music through Bollywood’s biggest headliners for South Asian Hindi-speaking digital audience, globally.

    In its debut season, BMP took place in Mumbai and Delhi on 30 September and 1 October, 2016, and 25 and 26 March 2017 respectively where over 100 of the biggest names in Bollywood music including Arijit Singh, Amit Trivedi, Vishal and Shekhar, Rekha Bharadwaj, Badshah, Raftaar, Neeti Mohan and Sachin Jigar, along with over 400 musicians performed to a crowd of over 50,000 in a multi-stage, multi-genre format.

    Digitally, BMP has engaged over 80 million fans in Season 1.

    The Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) is an autonomous and non-profit registered body of companies, institutions and professionals operating within the events and experiential marketing industry of India.

    The award in the ‘Best New IP’ category was received by Swaroop Banerjee (CEO, Event Capital), Deepak Choudhary (founder and director, Event Capital) and Tarsame Mittal (founder, TM Talent Management). The award for the latter was accepted by Megha Ghosh (vice president, Branded IP and Content and head of digital initiatives at Event Capital), Sahil Gupta (vice president and business head at Event Capital) and Alaap Gosher (entertainment consultant, TM Talent Management).

    MUMBAI: Integrated marketing agency Laqshya Media Group has announced its foray into branded Intellectual Properties(IPs) and content with the launch of a new division under its live event IP Company, Event Capital.This launch comes close on the heels of Laqshya Media Group announcing its foray into talent management with the signing of Indian Cricketer Suresh Raina in April 2017.
