Mumbai: Colors Gujarati has announced the launch of its new show titled “Sorath Ni Mrs Singham.” Premiering on 21 January, the show will air every Monday to Saturday at 9 p.m.

“Sorath Ni Mrs Singham” is the story of Harshvardhan Rathod – a progressive IPS officer, who supports women’s rights and fights social taboos against them, and a bubbly girl Kesar Jadeja. Based in the culturally rich region of Sorath, Harshvardhan is compelled to marry the underage Kesar. The story depicts Kesar’s journey to becoming an IPS officer in order to earn her husband’s love and to restore the honour that was lost due to their illegal marriage.

Colors Gujarati announces new show ‘Maru Mann Mohi Gayu’

Mumbai: Gujarati general entertainment channel Colors Gujarati has announced a new show “Maru Mann Mohi Gayu” that premieres on 27 September at 7:30 p.m from Monday to Saturday.

Produced by Kalp Media, the show is an adaption of Colors Marathi TV series “Sundara Manamadhye Bharali.” It features Dhwani Upadhyay and Harshil Desai in the lead and challenges societal definitions of beauty.

“Maru Mann Mohi Gayu beautifully captures the rigid definitions of beauty and shape through the journey of Anokhi,” said Colors Gujarati, programming head, Darshil Bhatt. “Placing the central focus on an overweight lady is unconventional enough to begin with, and Dhwani Upadhyay meets the challenge by owning every moment. The show brings together exceptionally strong characters, outstanding chemistry, and an extremely interesting storyline.”

Colors Gujarati has an eclectic mix of fiction and non-fiction shows. Their flagship fiction shows include “Rasoi show,” “Rashi Rikshawali,” “Abhilasha,” “Chhuta Chheda,” “1760 Sasuma,” and “Suri.” Their non-fiction shows include “Daily Bonus,” “Naach Maari Saathe,” “Bola Keta Taka,” and “Khadkhadaat.”
