    The Zoom Studios announces launch of ‘The Reunion – Chal Ghar Chalein’

    Mumbai: The Zoom Studios has announced a new season of their original show “The Reunion”. The latest season titled “The Reunion – Chal Ghar Chalein” will launch on 16 October at 12:30 p.m on The Zoom Studios YouTube channel and at 8:00 p.m on Zoom.

    Helmed by acclaimed director Danish Aslam, the show features Lillette Dubey, Veer Rajwant Singh, Devika Vatsa, Prabal Panjabi, Kashmira Irani, and KK Raina. The trailer for the show has already recorded a reach of 2.5 million and garnered 1.5 million views across Zoom Studios’ social media platforms.

    Not just fans, popular actors, and renowned Bollywood personalities including Karishma Kohli, Mithila Palkar, Dhruv Sehgal, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Ayush Mehra, Adah Sharma, Shreya Gupto, and Diksha Juneja took to their social media to express their excitement for the new season and appreciation for the trailer.

    The 9 part-series is shot in the mesmerising picturesque locations of Odisha.

    MUMBAI:  The Zoom Studios has announced the much-anticipated new season of its maiden show, The Reunion. Creating a record run with over 50 million views on YouTube and Facebook, the earlier season had received rave reviews for its refreshing storytelling and content.

    Infused with nostalgia, connecting back to the roots, the ten-part series of the new season walks down memory lane and captures the emotional roller coaster journey of the Pujari family, who have drifted apart over the years and are now living separate lives, only to be reunited under one roof. The content studio has also partnered Odisha Tourism, promising viewers a visual treat with a compelling story set against gorgeous landscapes, shot in various parts of Odisha including Shimilipal, Bhitarkanika, Konark-Puri, Chilka, Dhenkanal, Badmul, Daringbadi, Koraput, Debrigarh.

    The new season helmed by acclaimed director Danish Aslam has roped in an eclectic cast including Lillette Dubey, Veer Rajwant Singh, Devika Vatsa, Prabal Panjabi, Kashmira Irani and KK Raina.

    Danish Aslam to talk about the art of directing a web series at Vidnet Masterclasses

    MUMBAI: Director Danish Aslam will join the revered list of speakers at the upcoming Indiantelevision.com’s Vidnet Masterclasses, being hosted at The Westin, Mumbai, on 4 October. Aslam, who has worked in Bollywood and for web both, will be distinguishing between the two forms of media for the audience.

    Vidnet Masterclasses are an Indiantelevision.com initiative to facilitate the creative process of young and aspiring creators willing to work in the digital domain. The Masterclasses will host directors & editors, and writers who will be talking to the audience directly about the craft of video creation.

    Aslam had started his career as an assistant director on feature films & TV commercials, eventually ending up at with Yash Raj Films, where he was the First AD on movies like Salaam Namaste, Fanaa & Ta Ra Rum Pum. His first directorial venture was Break Ke Baad, starring Imran Khan & Deepika Padukone.

    He has directed web series like season 2 of It’s Not That Simple, season 1 of Timeout, and Flesh. Apart from that, he has also directed TV shows like Siyaasat (Epic) & Kabhi Aise Geet Gaya Karo (Disney).

    Other speakers at the Masterclasses include Raghav Subbu, Dhruv Sehgal, Jaya Mishra, Puneet Krishna, and Siddharth Mishra.

    MUMBAI: Voot, Viacom18’s digital VOD platform, has added one more feather to its original shows’ hat. It has announced the launch of their new web-series, It’s Not That Simple. Slated to go online from 6 October, the six-part show is a first of its kind relationship drama that explores the complexities of urban marriages.

    Written by Charudutt Acharya and directed by Danish Aslam, the story is about a school reunion, which along with fond memories also brings back a little part of Meera that was lost in the process of just being a wife. Tempting her to go on a journey to find her lost self again, is an unfinished love triangle from days bygone. The story further develops based on the decisions the lead protagonist takes.

    “The one box that digital content needs to check is being relatable to the viewer. And relationships & marriage in India are going through a dynamic change from the classic interpretation we are used to. We really wanted to take a closer look at urban marriages in 2016 with all their pressures and challenges… because at the end of it, marriage is the one choice that is life altering, good or bad, it’s really not that simple,” said VOOT head programming Monika Shergill.

    The starcast of the show includes Swara Bhaskar as Meera, along with Vivan Bhatena as Rajeev, Akshay Oberoi as Sameer and Karanveer Mehra as Jayesh.
