    Saregama India and Tamgha Entertainment announce major theatrical feature film

    MUMBAI – Saregama India announced its partnership with the newly launched Tamgha Entertainment LLC for a major feature film. The upcoming production will bring to the screen the untold stories of the Indian Army’s elite Rashtriya Rifles, celebrating their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to the nation.

    The film, which is yet to be titled, will delve into the unique ethos of the Rashtriya Rifles, a premier counter-insurgency force that was formed just over two decades ago, is a specialist force of the Indian Army tasked with counter-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir. While well-regarded within military circles, the force remains relatively unknown to the public despite its remarkable success. This film aims to offer a rare and compelling look into one of India’s most effective military formations — a force that operates with silent resilience and extraordinary dedication. The story aims to move beyond battlefield action to explore the human-interest stories of the soldiers and the values they live by.

    This project marks the first collaboration between Saregama and Tamgha Entertainment, a media company founded by Damyant Singh Khanoria and Major General RS Yadav, VSM. Tamgha is founded on the principle of bringing authentic and powerful narratives of the Indian Armed Forces to a global audience, anchored in the ethos of “Naam, Namak aur Nishaan” (Honor. Loyalty. Legacy.).

    Damyant Singh Khanoria resigns as CMO of sports at Viacom18

    Mumbai: He was a high-profile hire in 2024. And now he has quit. Damyant Singh Khanoria has stepped down as chief marketing officer (CMO) of sports at Viacom18, ending his tenure that began in January 2024.

    Khanoria, a seasoned marketing professional, brought over two decades of experience in leading global brands. Prior to his role at Viacom18, he served as CMO of Oppo India for over three years, overseeing the brand’s marketing strategies and campaigns. His career also includes a significant stint at Apple, where he led Marcom operations for nearly four years.

    Earlier, Khanoria held senior roles at adidas for over a decade, including senior marketing director and head of product marketing for sports performance. He also managed brand communications at Mudra Communications, handling key accounts such as McDonald’s.

    Known for his expertise in brand strategy, sports marketing, and product innovation, Khanoria’s departure marks a significant development in Viacom18’s leadership.

    The company is yet to announce his successor.

    Damyant Singh Khanoria is Oppo India’s new CMO

    NEW DELHI: China-based global smart device brand Oppo has announced the appointment of Damyant Singh Khanoria as its new CMO for India operations. In his new role, Khanoria will be spearheading the marketing operations and will be reporting to Oppo India president Elvis Zhou.

    Khanoria comes to Oppo from Apple India where he was the marketing communication lead. He is an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience and has worked across marketing portfolios. His experience in building and optimising go-to-market strategy for technology brands will be instrumental for the brand.

    Zhou said, “I am confident that his experience of connecting customer desires with business needs will help propel OPPO India to greater heights during its next phase of growth. On behalf of our entire team, I extend a warm welcome to Damyant.”

    Earlier this year, Oppo India VP of product and marketing Sumit Walia had put down his papers after a year-long association. He had joined Samsung post his exit. 

    He has also worked at Adidas, DDB Mudra, Hakuhodo, Bates India and Capital Advertising.
