    MUMBAI: Bestseller India has tapped Sumit Dhingra as its new country director, poaching the fashion veteran from footwear phenomenon Crocs where he most recently headed operations across India, southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

    Dhingra brings over two decades of fashion and lifestyle industry expertise to the Danish clothing company, with a CV that reads like a who’s who of retail powerhouses. His appointment signals Bestseller’s determination to put its best foot forward in the burgeoning Indian market.

    Before making waves at Crocs, Dhingra cut his teeth at several fashion heavyweights, including a near-decade stint at Arvind Fashions Ltd where he served as senior vice president and chief executive for Arrow, Izod and Aéropostale. He previously held leadership positions at United Colors of Benetton India and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail.

    Bestseller chief executive Anders Holch Povlsen highlighted India’s strategic importance to the company’s global ambitions and welcomed Sumit to the company. 

    Dhingra appears ready to hit the ground running, with plans to expand Bestseller’s market presence, jazz up the customer experience, and drive sustainable growth in what industry insiders describe as a “transformative phase” for the company’s Indian operations.

This year’s Croctober transcends former years, with the brand bringing highly anticipated product launches, exciting contests, interactive digital experiences, and more to encourage Crocs fans across the country to be more expressive, creative and to celebrate what it means to truly come as you are.

    Kicking off with a bang, the brand has revealed one of the most widely requested Crocs shoe designs in brand history – the Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot! For years, the buzz around a Crocs-inspired cowboy boot has been building, creating a genuine fan-fueled movement trending across social media. Recognising this passion, Crocs is making fan dreams come true, turning the Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot into a reality: a testament to the brand’s commitment to and celebration of Croc Nation.

    For the first time ever in India, the Croctober commemoration product will be launched, making it an ode to loyal fans across the country. Launching on Croc Day, a fan-created holiday recognized annually on 23 October, the Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot features a high-shine croc-embossed texture and bold western-inspired stitching. The boot is embellished with unique metallic Jibbitz charms and a first-of-its-kind spin-able spur charm attached to the backstrap of the shoe. On the rivet detail, the iconic black and white Crocs logo of Duke, the brand’s beloved crocodile mascot, has gone country, sporting his very own cowboy hat.

    MUMBAI: Crocs, Inc. a global leader in innovative casual footwear for women, men and children, announced award-winning actor, activist and entrepreneur Priyanka Chopra Jonas as a global brand ambassador for the 2020 “Come As You Are” campaign.

    As a natural progression of the campaign, in 2020 Chopra Jonas’ noteworthy sense of style will  further embolden consumers to be comfortable in their own shoes, and showcase how Crocs can be fashionably styled to compliment almost any look throughout the day or night. 

    Currently in its fourth year, the campaign has evolved to inspire and empower people worldwide, based on the company’s belief that everyone has a right to be comfortable in their own shoes. Throughout 2019, Crocs fans – led by a distinguished roster of global ambassadors including Zooey Deschanel, Suzu Hirose, Kim Sejeong and Gina Jin – have boldly declared that you can have both style and comfort no matter who you are or where your life takes you. 

    Another special element to the Crocs/Chopra Jonas partnership will be the joint collaboration to benefit the United Nations Children’s Fund (known as UNICEF).
