Colgate Total unveils its new campaign ‘Har Bite Ho Right’

Mumbai: Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd has launched a campaign for Colgate Total that encourages consumers to focus on proactive oral care. A recent Colgate study found that nearly half of Indians report dental problems, leading them to change their eating habits unconsciously. The new TVC for Colgate Total toothpaste highlights the product’s advanced science, which offers protection against issues like bad breath, yellowing teeth, and cavities, helping consumers maintain their eating habits without compromise.

Conceptualised by team WPP@CP,  the campaign showcases Colgate Total’s patented DZA (Dual Zinc + Arginine) technology that addresses the root causes of dental problems. The TVC features a protagonist demonstrating various situations in a café where people alter their eating habits to avoid dental pain. The protagonist then explains how Colgate Total’s DZA technology provides complete protection from these oral health issues.

Speaking about this newest campaign, Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd executive vice president, marketing Gunjit Jain said, “Many of us do not feel that our oral health is at risk because we seldom see people like us having dental problems. But millions of Indians around us are unconsciously demonstrating visual signs of dental problems. Some have started eating from a preferred side of the mouth, some would rather cut an apple into slices than bite into one that’s full, some wait for their hot chai to cool a bit before they sip and so on. This has happened to members in our family, our friends or our colleagues. We can prevent this from happening to us simply by switching to Colgate Total, our advanced toothpaste that provides total protection. This is what our new campaign is all about – before dental problems change the way you eat, change to Colgate Total.”

WPP@CP executive creative director Juneston Mathana, while speaking about the campaign quoted, “The thing about ‘relatable behaviour’ is that you have to show it in the most relatable way. But just that could also get boring. So we introduced a little rhythm & rhyme with our partner-in-crime – Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy from Corcoise Films to make people aware of the subconscious compromises others are making out there. The result left people with something to chew on.”

Disclaimer at the end of the note: Total protection refers to common oral cosmetic problems like bad odor, yellowness of teeth, cavities, etc.

  • Cadbury 5 Star’s “Do Nothing” philosophy highlighted in ‘Elevator’ ad

Cadbury 5 Star’s “Do Nothing” philosophy highlighted in ‘Elevator’ ad

Mumbai: Cadbury 5 Star, India’s beloved chocolate brand, and Ogilvy India have come together to launch yet another quirky “Do Nothing” campaign, elevating the brand proposition with a funnier take on keeping things light. Over the years, the chocolate brand in partnership with Ogilvy, has built on this proposition through many innovations like hijacking Google Assistant with a ‘Do Nothing Mode’, riding the crypto trend with ‘Nothingcoin’, creating the most visible ad campaign for a budget amounting to ‘nothing’, and more recently, a ‘Nothing University’ to train people for an AI-powered future where humans can finally upskill themselves in the art of ‘Doing Nothing’ and embrace AI instead of fearing it.

The new ad titled ‘Elevator’ tells the story of a person whose phone rings at the most inappropriate time, but he’s too absorbed in enjoying his Cadbury 5 Star to do anything about it. It has been directed by Prasoon Pandey (Corcoise Films) and conceived by Ogilvy India.

Speaking about this, Mondelez India VP- marketing Nitin Saini said, “Cadbury 5 Star has always been synonymous with indulgence and joy. With the new TVC we wanted to recapture that feeling of pure indulgence, where even the most insistent interruption can’t break the spell of enjoying a delicious 5 Star. This campaign is a playful reminder that in a world obsessed with doing more, slowing down and savoring the simple pleasures can be the ultimate act of chilling. We’re confident that this dramatic and quirky ad will connect with chocolate enthusiasts nationwide, further enhancing the distinct identity of Cadbury 5 Star as the champion of ‘Doing Nothing.”

Ogilvy India chief creative officer Sukesh Nayak said, “5 Star is back with another crazy interpretation of ‘Do Nothing’. Over the years, the brand’s counter-culture stance has resonated strongly with the youth, with each piece adding to the campaign’s massive popularity. We hope our latest avatar continues to surprise and entertain people.”

  • Anushka Sharma & Virat Kohli partner with ‘Unseen’ for Livspace’s spooktacular campaign

Anushka Sharma & Virat Kohli partner with ‘Unseen’ for Livspace’s spooktacular campaign

Mumbai: Following the success of last year’s campaign, which featured brand ambassadors Anushka and Virat, Livspace, one of Asia’s largest omnichannel renovations & interiors platform has launched its 2023 brand campaign, ‘Livspace your space- Season 2.’ The campaign aims to showcase the evolving roles of homes in our lives and how Livspace enables you to maximize the potential of each room within your home.

Livspace CMO Kartikeya Bhandari said, “This year we are bringing back ‘Livspace your space’ for a second innings with our brand ambassadors Virat & Anushka. We added an element of horror coupled with humor to our films this time around, while also reiterating our commitment to redefining living spaces with the best in class materials and designs. The campaign films are poised to strike a chord with a wide-ranging audience, further cementing our standing as the No 1 Home Interiors Brand in the country. We are extremely excited to time these around the cricket world cup fervor that grips our nation and will employ a media mix of digital, social and CTV to engage with our audiences.”

“Livspace your Space”, Season 2 stars Virat and Anushka as an upper-middle-class couple facing surprising interior issues in their supposedly comfortable home. Initially, it appears to be a ghostly horror story, but it soon turns into a humorous tale of their interactions with unconventional ‘spirits’, all trying to fix their interior design problems. The films were conceptualized by TILT and directed by Corcoise Films.

Tilt Brand Solutions chief creative officer Adarsh Atal shared his insights, saying, “On Livspace, we have always attempted to push the envelope every year. The thing with poor quality interiors is that they continue to play on your mind as you have to literally live with them and in the house you have made. This insight gave us the springboard for our creative device, where we see different kinds of ghosts, ghouls and scary entities trying to scare Virat and Anushka at their home, but what’s really haunting them are the poor quality interiors. The first of the series is already live with more to come!.”

The campaign maintains its central focus on quality in both material and design. It delves into the human tendency to seek certainty and routine, demonstrating how unexpected disruptions stemming from subpar home interiors can become a relentless source of distress. The campaign emphasizes the significance of investing in high-quality materials and designs to create a sanctuary of comfort, guarding against potential nightmares caused by inferior interior choices.

With this campaign, Livspace aims to create strong brand recall and deepen its connection with customers across different regions. Launching concurrently with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, the campaign will employ a multi-faceted approach, including a strategic blend of digital and social media, along with connected television, to engage with relevant audiences.

The campaign comprises a series of four videos, including two 10-second clips and two 30-second clips. All four videos will be rolled out with a two-week gap between each launch. The campaign is set to span across eight weeks.

Swiggy targets modern-day Indian families in new campaign

MUMBAI: Online food delivery platform, Swiggy, has launched its third series of television commercials and digital campaign, that are reflective of new-age India and its changing culinary culture.

With a tagline- Swiggy karo, phir jo chahe Karo!, these quirky and witty TVCs offer a glance at the Indian families of today, where consumers are increasingly investing in sharing new experiences with family members while turning to the convenience of ordering online for food through Swiggy.

Conceptualised by Lowe Lintas and produced by Corcoise Films, the ads touch upon everyday scenarios, shedding light on how consumers are spending more time on learning something new or bonding with their family. The videos make for a captivating watch as they explore relatable, real-life situations in our homes, where Swiggy has become an integral part. They also celebrate Swiggy’s strongest assets-convenience, reliability and variety.

Staying true to Swiggy’s style of short but impactful commercials, the 25-30 second videos are replete with subtle humour and whimsical moments. The TVCs explore everyday scenarios like conversations between a mother and child, dining table discussions between a family and a dialogue between three generations of women in a family, as Swiggy helps them prioritise quality time with loved ones.

Swiggy VP marketing Srivats TS says, “Swiggy’s TVCs have consistently communicated to consumers in extremely relatable ways. The campaign celebrates three aspects of the modern Indian family – Super Moms, Food and Swiggy. It delves into how families of today are increasingly choosing to invest their time in connecting with loved ones and learning something new, while leaving the task of getting a meal on the table to Swiggy!”

Lowe Lintas Bangalore president Hari Krishnan adds, “This is a campaign that is meant to increase penetration for Swiggy amongst the household segment most of whom are non-users or infrequent users. We had to strike a balance as a brand that aids or enables great food experiences rather than replaces the food that is made at home. We’re happy to have hit the sweet spot, once again.”

Within a week of the first TVCs from this campaign going live, it has already received a lot of consumer love and appreciation on social channels. Apart from Hindi, the TVCs will be aired in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. The campaign will also run on digital and across the brand’s social media platforms.

This campaign comes on the heels of Swiggy’s highly popular and award-winning IPL TVCs, which garnered much love from consumers and industry stalwarts alike.
