    Prasar Bharti invites tenders for supply of equipments

    MUMBAI: Prasar Bharati has invited reputed firms, public sector undertakings, Indian agents and representatives authorised by foreign principals dealing with equipments to file in their tenders for a supply of equipment.

    The advertisement published on behalf of the president of India appeared in a leading daily, today.

    In order to obtain detailed specifications, quality, scope of work and terms and conditions, the interested parties are requested to contact assistant engineer, either personally or via post.

     

    To request for the tender documents, the companies are asked to contact the facilitation counter. The postal address is: Assistant Directorate (purchase), Room No 401, Doordarshan Directorate, Doordarshan Bhawan, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi-110. The advertisement informs that the tender request are to be accompanied by a demand draft – a non-refundable tender fee.

    The last date for accepting the tender is a day before the date of opening of the technical bids. The participating tenderer will be required to deposit earnest money deposits (EMD) while submitting the completed tenders forms. Two copies of the tender are to be submitted in separate sealed covers, says the advertisement. The offer is to be submitted on two bid system comprising technical bid and commercial bid sealed in separate covers.

    Small scale manufatureres registered with the DDS&D/NCI under single point registration scheme for item required in the NIT will be exempted from payment in respect of cost of tender document/EMD/security deposit as per government instructions subject to submission of documentary evidence of valid registration, says the advertisement. Indian agents quoting on behalf of foreign manufatureres/ principals must be registered with DGS&D, New Delhi for the item being offered , prior to the date of the opening of technical bid.

    DD extends date for submission of DD Bharati, Regional Kendras proposals

    MUMBAI: Doordarshan has extended the invitation date concerning proposals for commissioning of programmes primarily for its DD Bharati Channel and Regional Kendras.

    The date set was 15 November. However after careful consideration, Director General, Doordarshan has agreed to extend the last date upto 9 December, an official release says.

    The genres of the programmes and eligibility conditions are incorporated in the guidelines for the commissioned programmes available on DD’s website www.ddindia.net. The guidelines can also be obtained from any of the Regional Doordarshan Kendras and Doordarshan Headquarters against payment of Rs 25. The proposals must be superscribed as Proposal for Commissioning for Doordarshan addressed to the Director of Programmes, DD Bharati, Directorate General:Doordarshan, Doordarshan Bhawan, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi-110001 and are to be sent by Registered Post.

    Proposals for Regional Kendras are to be sent to the respective directors of the Regional Kendras. DD reserves the right to process the proposals according to its requirements.

    Doordarshan Empanelled Producers Association had represented to the DG that the last date of submission of the proposal for commissioning on DD Bharati and all other Doordarshan Kendras may be extended, the release says.

    NEW DELHI: Prasar Bharati will observe 12 November, as done every year, as the Public Service Broadcasting Day. It is on this day in 1947, Mahatma Gandhi visited the studios of All India Radio, for one and the only time to broadcast his message of peace to the people of Kurukshetra.

    To commemorate the occasion, Doordarshan Kendra, Delhi is a organizing a Festival of Films in New Delhi on 11 and 12 November.

    Keeping in mind its public service mandate, the films chosen for the festival represent the plurality of thought and ideas of multi cultural society. The films at the same time also represent the range and variety of subjects that Doordarshan has set for itself, an official release states.

    Known Unto God produced by Doordarshan Kendra Imphal captures the conflict in the North Eastern region with an underlying message that peace and amity are essential for the growth and development of individuals as well as society.

    My Soul My Passion from Doordarshan Kendra Thiruvananthapuram captures the many hues of the culture of Kerala.

    The Hamlet of Mountain Monarch, another film from Doordarshan Kendra Thiruvananthapuram, documents the habitat of a wild deer in the hills of Kerala.

    The Back Stage Boys is a documentary on illegal emigration of third world citizens to the developed countries and the trauma associated with it. This documentary has been produced by the Public Service Broadcasting Trust (PSBT).

    A number of experts have been invited for interactive sessions with students of mass communication, journalism and other related fields. The Film Festival was inaugurated by S Sundresan, member (finance), Prasar Bharati Corporation at 3 pm today. K Tlanthanga, deputy director general, Doordarshan presided over the inaugural function.

    Tomorrow, information and broadcasting minister Sushma Swaraj will release a special cover on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of Broadcasting in India. Ramesh Bais, minister of state for information and broadcasting, will preside over the function to be held at the LTG Auditorium, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi.

    As part of the events commemorating the day the Broadcast Engineering Society (India) has organized a public service broadcasting lecture at the India Habitat Centre, in which the Prasar Bharati CEO KS Sarma and the Times of India executive managing editor, Dileep Padgaonkar, will speak.

    DD Metro invites proposals for year end programmes

    MUMBAI: Doordarshan has invited proposals from experienced producers of television programmes under sponsored category for shows on Christmas and New Years Eve on its Metro channel.
    The programme slot on 25 December and New Years Eve is 8 -11:30 PM The programmes can be music or celebrity based entertainment shows along with Christmas and New Year greetings. All shows must be in Hindi.

    Proposals should be furnished with a non-refundable processing fee in bank drafts of Rs. 10,000/- for each proposal in favour of PBBCI – D.G : Doordarshan, New Delhi.

    Proposals should contain detailed storyline/ Synopsis/Segments, broad outline of treatment, details of artists, participants/Anchor, celebrities, names & CV of Producer, Director, Script writer, Director of Photography and other creative crew members. A show-reel (VHS) of a earlier telecast programme to substantiate the production quality should also be submitted along with the proposal.

    Producers having sufficient experience of the production and marketing of programmes and who have organised and produced entertainment “Events” for television and having experience of marketing these “Events” may submit the proposals separately for each at the Facilitation Counter of Directorate General, Doordarshan, Doordarshan Bhavan, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi-110001 latest by 31 October indicating “Proposals For Christmas & New Year Eve Programme For Metro Channel” on the cover.

    MUMBAI: Doordarshan has invited proposals for commissioning of programmes for its health, culture and kids’ channel, DD Bharati, as well as for regional centres.

    The programme genres and eligibility conditions are incorporated in the guidelines for commisiioned programmes.

    The proposals have to be superscribed as Proposal for Commissioning for Doordrashan and addressed to the Director of Programmes , DD Bharati, Director General: Doordarshan, Doordarshan Bhvan, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi – 110 001. The entries have to be sent by registered post and should reach by 15 November.

    Proposals can also be hand delivered at the Facilitation Counter at Doordarshan Bhavan between 10 am – 5 pm on any working day. These proposals should also be addressed to the Director of Programmes; DD Bharati.

    Proposals for regional kendras should be sent to the respective directors.
