National broadcaster Doordarshan, in its efforts to give impetus to its own sports channels, is looking for fresh sports programmes and inviting proposals from producers under the “sponsored category”.
Interested producers of sports programmes have been asked to submit their proposals with concept, synopsis, episode-wise content, proposed time of telecast, genre/name of the sports event along with a pilot and a non-refundable bank draft of Rs 5,000 as processing fees addressed to the Controller of Programmes (Sports), Prasar Bharati, New Delhi.
The proposal should reach Prasar Bharati, Doordarshan, by 14 August 2001. According to the proposal form available on www.ddindia.net, the telecast fee, FCT, etc. of different events and categories of programmes are as follows:
Prime Events
International cricket, tennis, football
Sponsorship fees : Rs.5,000/-
FCT : 240 Seconds
SBR (per 10 Seconds) : RS,2000/-
Non-prime Events
Magazine programmes, Sports News and other sport events
Sponsorship fees : Rs.3,000/-
FCT : 180 Seconds
