  • From solitude to shared screens: How connected TVs Are changing SVOD in India

From solitude to shared screens: How connected TVs Are changing SVOD in India

MUMBAI: Picture this: you’re slouched on the couch, watching the season finale of your favorite show, but the room feels hollow. No one to laugh with, no one to argue about the plot twist. Feels a little dull, doesn’t it?

You’re not alone—literally. A new wave of co-viewing, driven by Connected TVs, is revolutionising how India engages with subscription video on demand (SVOD) platforms.

Ormax Media’s latest SVOD audience report 2024 reveals a seismic shift in urban India’s viewing habits. With insights from 3,000 subscribers, the report paints a vibrant picture of a market where language diversity, shared experiences, and tech-savvy innovation drive customer loyalty and growth. From couch-bound solo binging to interactive group viewing, the way Indians consume content is evolving faster than ever—and it’s bringing a mixed bag of emotions along for the ride.

The question is: are you tuning in alone, or are you part of this co-watching revolution?

The report highlights a stagnation in the SVOD audience base, which declined by two per cent to 150.6 million in 2024, compared to 153 million in 2023. This represents 28 per cent of India’s digital video audience, a group dominated by ad-supported video on demand (AVOD) viewers who account for 72 per cent of the market. The slowdown in SVOD growth underscores the competitive challenges platforms face in subscriber acquisition and retention.

A major revelation of the report is the growing impact of Connected TVs, with 36 per cent of SVOD audiences in urban India regularly using such devices to stream content. This trend is expanding beyond metro cities into mini metros and smaller towns, altering how content is consumed.

The report also sheds light on the phenomenon of co-viewing, where 66 per cent of Connected TV users watch streaming content with family members. This shift calls for OTT platforms to prioritise inclusive content catering to diverse age groups and preferences, ensuring a broader family appeal.

Ormax Media, head of business development (streaming, TV & brands), Keerat Grewal underscored the importance of these insights in shaping OTT strategies.

“In a cluttered marketplace where subscribers typically pay for just 2-3 apps, pay OTT platforms must align their pricing, content, and marketing strategies with audience preferences,” Grewal said.

She added, “While platforms have data on their own subscribers, Ormax Media has consistently built industry-wide insights for the Indian OTT sector. Our latest report equips platforms to craft compelling value propositions, grounded in macro-level audience behaviours and tastes.”

Contrary to perceptions that Connected TVs are limited to metro audiences, the report reveals growing traction in smaller towns and mini metros. Grewal highlighted the potential for this shift to fundamentally reshape the type and style of content consumed on OTT platforms in India.

The Ormax SVOD Audience Report: 2024 is now available for subscription and provides valuable data for streaming platforms, brands, and content producers. Covering viewing behaviour, language preferences, genre trends, content sampling triggers, and media habits, the report is a comprehensive resource for industry stakeholders aiming to stay ahead in a dynamic market.

  • ThinkAnalytics launches ThinkContextualAI high privacy ad solution

ThinkAnalytics launches ThinkContextualAI high privacy ad solution

MUMBAI: If you think about, privacy is becoming increasingly important online what with GDPR and all the regulations which apply.

AI driven video discovery, viewer insights, targeted advertising solutions provider ThinkAnalytics thought about it. The company has launched ThinkContextualAI, a contextual advertising solution that raises the bar for privacy-first, audience-aligned advertising. The solution complements ThinkAnalytics’ broader ThinkAdvertising offerings which have been instrumental in redefining ad targeting across connected TV (CTV)  platforms.

Combining its  two decades of expertise in viewer behavior and advanced AI technology, ThinkContextualAI leverages a proprietary ontology of more than 40,000 metadata tags, crafted to decode not only what content is about but why it resonates with individual viewers.

With this insight, ThinkContextualAI allows CTV advertisers to engage with audiences without invasive tracking, ensuring that content signals like genre and sub-genre are mapped to a known ontology so that they can be leveraged consistently by supply side platforms (SSPs).

As fragmentation increases, privacy regulations tighten and personal data access diminishes, advertisers face mounting challenges to engage with audiences. Traditional contextual advertising solutions often fall short, either lacking nuance or failing to capture the true mood and engagement factors of content. In addition, SSPs  are seeing up to 11 million similar but different titled genres and subgenres, meaning buyers can’t reliably buy content-based audiences.

ThinkContextualAI meets this untapped need, enabling advertisers to target viewers with unmatched precision by moving beyond simple context to align ad placements with themes and emotions.

“Our 40,000+ metadata tags represent not only the subjects of content but also why viewers connect with it,” says ThinkAnalytics CTO & founder Peter Docherty. “This unique capability allows advertisers to achieve a new level of relevance and resonance in ad placement, benefiting both viewer engagement and campaign performance. We worked closely in partnership with customers to ensure this solution meets advertisers’ needs across diverse markets in an evolving regulatory environment.”

ThinkContextualAI empowers advertisers with advanced contextual targeting capabilities, including:

    * Premium Audience Segmentation: advertisers can reach high-value segments like luxury lifestyle and travel enthusiasts without using personal data.
    * Scalable Content Understanding: Scale across vast content libraries with consistent, high-quality categorisation, to enhance the impact of advertising campaigns.
    * Privacy-Safe Solutions: Deploy ad campaigns that are compliant with global privacy standards, helping advertisers maintain audience trust while maximising results.

ThinkContextualAI offers measurable improvements in campaign effectiveness and user experience:

    * Improved Ad Recall: Drive higher ad recall through genuine content-ad alignment.
    * Increased Viewer Satisfaction: Maintain ad relevance, increasing viewer engagement.
    * Enhanced ROI: Maximize ROI with targeted, privacy-safe placements.
    * Reduced Ad Waste: Minimise irrelevant placements, ensuring efficient ad spend.

With over 85 service providers serving approximately 475 million subscribers in 47 languages, and generating eight billion recommendations per day, ThinkAnalytics is amongst the largest independent content discovery platform. Its clients include Liberty Global, Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, DirecTV, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Bell Media, BritBox International, Crunchyroll, Astro, Intigral, MBC, OSN, Proximus, Rogers, Sky Mexico, Tata Play, TELUS, and Mediacorp.

  • Audiences are increasingly turning to big screens for rich & lengthy content: India TV’s Ritu Dhawan

Audiences are increasingly turning to big screens for rich & lengthy content: India TV’s Ritu Dhawan

She has always carved a distinct path for herself. From her early stints at British Sky Broadcasting and Zee TV to co-founding Independent News Service in 1997, Ritu Dhawan broke new ground by seamlessly introducing news programming into what was then a predominantly fiction-focused satellite television space in India.

Her achievement in producing & directing the iconic talk show Aap Ki Adalat, has captivated audiences since its debut in 1993. Building on this success, she reached the pinnacle of her career by establishing India TV along with Rajat Sharma. Her leadership at India TV has not only propelled the channel into millions of households but has also positioned it as a pioneer in embracing new-age digital platforms.

Indiantelevision.com’s Rohin Ramesh caught up with Dhawan, where she discussed the evolution of digital-first news platforms, Connected TV’s (CTV) evolution & impact in news streaming  and much more.

    Edited excerpt

On the rise of digital-first news platforms & India TV adapting to this trend

Today, staying relevant means embracing new ways to connect with our audience where they are most active. At India TV, we are deeply committed to a digital-first approach, transforming how we create, distribute, and engage with content online. Our flagship digital initiative “Speed News” exemplifies our commitment to delivering rapid and high-quality updates. We have also launched different dedicated segments to offer tailored content that resonates with our viewers’ interests, ensuring that our content aligns with their viewing habits and expectations.

Using advanced analytics, we closely monitor audience feedback to refine our approach and deliver more engaging and shareable content. On platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and X we focus on dynamic video content that can quickly capture attention while providing deeper coverage on our digital channels. This approach ensures that India TV remains at the forefront of the digital age, meeting the evolving needs of a modern, online-first audience.

On audience consumption pattern changing over the years, especially with the rise of mobile and internet news consumption

Audiences are increasingly turning to big screens, particularly for rich & lengthy content. CTV is reshaping how people consume news, with many preferring the comprehensive experience of watching on larger screens. Understanding these shifts, we adapt our content to meet viewers where they are. For instance, video content, including short-form updates and interactive segments, performs well on social media, while traditional articles continue to engage readers on websites and discovery platforms like Google. By recognising these distinct preferences, we offer a range of formats tailored to the needs of our audience, whether they are scrolling on mobile or watching on CTV. This approach keeps our content accessible, adaptable, and relevant across all platforms.

On seeing the relationship between traditional TV news and social media evolving

At India TV, we are using social media not only as an extension of our TV broadcasts but as an active engagement tool. Real-time updates, short video snippets, and highlights help us reach younger audiences who prefer quicker, on-the-go content. At the same time, our longer TV segments continue to offer in-depth reporting and analysis.

With new formats like video-on-demand (VOD), short reels, and real-time updates, we can deliver news faster than ever, engaging viewers instantly. Social media allows us to provide early insights and instant access, and our viewers can tune into live broadcasts for a comprehensive perspective.

That said, the rise of social media has introduced unique challenges, particularly around credibility, as these platforms can sometimes contribute to the spread of misinformation. To address this, we prioritise fact-checking and sourcing to maintain the trust and credibility that define our brand. This dynamic integration enables us to stay relevant and maintain the credibility and trust associated with our brand.

On CTV emerging as a significant platform for streaming content & being a dinner table conversation for the media industry

CTV is setting a new standard for the broadcasting industry, driven by the principles of content, connectivity & convenience—the three Cs that define the future of viewing. India TV’s commitment to delivering quality content stands at the heart of our CTV strategy. With a focus on producing high-caliber news stories that retain depth and integrity, we’re shaping an experience that resonates with today’s viewers seeking credible journalism.

Connectivity is another pillar of our approach. By developing apps optimised for smart TVs, tablets and smartphones, we’re ensuring adaptability across all devices. This allows viewers to stay informed and engaged on any platform they choose, whether they’re watching from home or on the go.

Convenience completes the trifecta, offering a tailored, on-demand viewing experience that puts control in the hands of the audience. With interactive features like live chats, personalised recommendations, and seamless streaming, our CTV platform meets viewers wherever they are and whenever they’re ready to tune in.

India TV is combining traditional news depth with the immediacy and flexibility of CTV, positioning us to engage a generation that values trusted journalism as much as the freedom to watch on their terms.

On striking a balance between delivering hard news & incorporating lighter, more engaging content to appeal viewers

Our strategy at India TV is to provide a mix of hard-hitting news and lighter, more engaging content. We ensure credibility and depth with hard news segments covering politics, international events, and investigative journalism, while appealing to younger viewers through segments that explore lifestyle, entertainment, and trending topics.

Our Speed News segments, such as Speed 50, Speed 100, Duniya 20, Mausam 20 & Sports 20, provide quick, impactful updates, allowing us to deliver a broad range of topics in digestible formats.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we introduced two uplifting shows—Yoga News & Jeetega India, Harega Corona—to bring positivity to our viewers. These programs showcased our ability to balance hard and soft news, offering both reassurance and reliable information during challenging times. This dual approach lets us stay true to our journalistic roots while embracing the variety that today’s diverse audience values. By offering both serious reporting and lighter fare, we cater to the wide-ranging interests of our viewers, keeping them informed and engaged.

On gen Z audience turning increasingly towards digital platforms for news rather than traditional TV

While digital platforms have become the primary source of news for younger generations, traditional TV news continues to hold a strong reputation for credibility among them. Take “Coffee Par Kurukshetra,” for example, a segment that resonates deeply with younger viewers, with 40 per cent of its audience under the age of 35. We see similar engagement across other segments, such as Speed News on YouTube, where half of the viewers are under 35, as well as our yoga channel and “Aap Ki Adalat,” with 56 per cent and 47 per cent of their respective viewership also within this younger demographic.

This demonstrates that younger audiences value trusted journalism but prefer to access it in formats suited to their digital habits. By tailoring our content for digital platforms, we ensure that these viewers stay connected to trusted journalism while engaging with us on their terms.

On India TV ensuring credibility and trust with its viewers

In today’s climate of misinformation, India TV stands firmly for credibility and trust. Our fact-checking team rigorously verifies content before it reaches the public, ensuring that our viewers receive only accurate, well-vetted information.

We also proactively monitor the spread of fake news, maintaining vigilance to protect our viewers from misinformation. This commitment to authenticity has allowed us to build lasting trust, making India TV a reliable source in an age of unreliable information.

On working behind the scenes for years, shaping the channel’s growth, your personal motivation & guiding philosophy throughout this journey

A deep sense of purpose and responsibility toward our viewers has always driven my journey with India TV. I approach each decision as a meaningful step toward building a stronger connection with our audience. Guided by an audience-centric philosophy, I focus on understanding diverse viewer needs and aligning our content to serve those needs.

As a certified content producer, adapting to technological shifts and staying ahead of media trends have been integral to my role. This focus on innovation and audience engagement has allowed me to contribute to India TV’s growth in a way that is both impactful.

  • “Content in the context of cricket, delivers high recall in terms of measurement”: Kingshuk Mitra

“Content in the context of cricket, delivers high recall in terms of measurement”: Kingshuk Mitra

Mumbai: Cricket, often hailed as a religion in India, commands widespread excitement for a variety of reasons. Against the backdrop of this fervor, Star Sports eagerly anticipates broadcasting the highly anticipated ICC T20 World Cup 2024, slated to take place in the USA and West Indies.

Additionally, the previous World Cup (2023) emerged as a blockbuster cricket event on television, setting new benchmarks:

    1.  Reach: The Men’s ICC event, Cricket World Cup 2023, shattered all past viewership records, reaching nearly 520 million viewers.
    2.  Watch-Time: The 2023 World Cup also recorded an unprecedented watch-time of 428 billion minutes, the highest ever across all past World Cups on TV.
    3.  High Viewership Across Segments: The World Cup attracted substantial viewership across various segments, with Youth reach at 254 million, Male reach at 276 million, Female reach at 243 million, and Rural reach at 245 million.

Moreover, the world cup on TV saw significant female engagement, with females contributing to 47 per cent of the viewership in CWC 2023, highlighting the broad appeal of cricket among diverse audiences.

As anticipation mounts for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, the landscape beckons with key inquiries surrounding investment strategies, viewership trends, and the perpetual debate between traditional television and digital platforms

Indiantelevision.com caught up in a virtual conversation with Disney Star head – Ad Sales, Sports Kingshuk Mitra. This interview delved into the nuances of linear TV, the significant surge of Connected TV and various other factors influencing the current views and trends of sports broadcasting and advertising.

    Edited excerpts

On ICC’s decision to host the tournament at USA

From a broadcaster’s perspective, I’d like to highlight a couple of key points. Firstly, in comparison to previous T20 World Cup editions like those in 2021 and 2022, where we typically had around 33 matches, this year’s tournament boasts a remarkable 55 matches. This expanded schedule presents an excellent opportunity for brands to capitalize on heightened reach compared to past editions.

Secondly, if we examine the previous T20 World Cups, we notice a significant increase in prime-time matches, nearly doubling in number. Additionally, all India matches are strategically scheduled at the coveted 8 pm India time slot. This stands in stark contrast to the last T20 World Cup held in Australia, where some of India’s most anticipated matches aired during less favorable time slots, such as 12 or 1 pm. From a broadcaster’s standpoint, this shift to prime-time matches is a source of great excitement and anticipation, as it promises to drive substantial viewership.

In essence, these factors align favorably for broadcasters, paving the way for increased engagement and viewership throughout the tournament.

On linear TV being more widely consumed than mobile phones during sporting events

I’d like to highlight a couple of key points. Firstly, from a live sports perspective, the allure of the big screen offers a unique and immersive experience. Historical data consistently showcase the vital role played by television and large screens in enhancing the viewing experience of live sporting events.

Secondly, I refrain from framing the comparison as TV versus digital, as each platform serves its distinct purpose. As a consumer myself, I acknowledge the convenience of mobile viewing while on the go. However, for events as monumental as cricket, the preference shifts towards enjoying it in the company of family and friends, on the expansive canvas of a big screen.

On your plans to leverage the ICC T20 World Cup for advertising sales and unique media opportunities you offer

There’s a lot of points to cover here. Advertisers are buzzing with excitement for the upcoming World Cup. No surprise there. There’s been an increase in cricket-centric storytelling within marketing strategies across various clients. Incorporating cricket narratives has proven to yield high recall rates, as evidenced by the remarkable surge in female viewership during past World Cups and IPL seasons. This surge has particularly piqued the interest of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) clients, many of whom were traditionally less cricket-savvy but are now actively investing heavily here. Moreover, there’s been significant growth in the affluent class, with a substantial portion hailing from banking, finance, and international business sectors. Additionally, lower-tier markets, primarily TV-centric, are attracting attention from advertisers aiming to target these audiences.

Another consistent trend is the focus of startups on brand building and trust creation, with cricket serving as an ideal platform for these objectives. Many of these companies heavily invest in cricket to bolster their brand stature and foster consumer trust.

On the product front, we have launched product launches that serve as market differentiators. Firstly, our partnership with Tata Play offers a unique opportunity to target high-income users, providing targeted viewing opportunities that traditional television lacks. Secondly, our Star Deals initiative has changed the way people engage with ads, making television commercials more interactive. This technology allows viewers to transition from watching an ad to redeeming discounts or promotions. Additionally, the synchronization between TV ads and second-screen prompts aids advertisers in closing the loop on viewer engagement, providing valuable insights into the efficacy of TV campaigns.

Another innovative offering involves leveraging the expertise of Star Sports anchors to create custom content and influencer marketing pieces for advertisers. This strategy capitalises on the high recall and brand association that cricket-centric content offers. Lastly, our studio show “Cricket Live” boasts incredible reach. Through strategic product placements within the studio environment, we enhance brand visibility and drive substantial returns on investment for our clients.

While we continue to iterate and learn with new clients, I am very confident that these will be our mainstream products moving forward.

On the rise of Connected TV ecosystem and consumers shifting from linear TV to CTVs due to premiumization as recalled by experts

In addressing the question, I find it challenging to predict the landscape of this ecosystem in the coming years, whether it be four, five, or even ten years down the line. Presently, I don’t observe any significant impact because, when analysing historical data, television viewership has consistently grown. Comparing the data from previous World Cups or IPL seasons that we’ve published, both ratings and reach have demonstrated steady increases. Thus, it doesn’t align with the narrative of a shifting audience; in fact, the data suggests quite the opposite.

On measures you have taken to ensure advertisers receive optimal ROI during the World Cup

I’m pleased to note that many clients are recognizing cricket’s ability to deliver extensive scale and reach. Nowadays, there’s a growing emphasis on understanding the business outcomes resulting from every dollar invested in cricket. We’ve made substantial investments ourselves in comprehending these dynamics. For clients who engage in cricket advertising, we’ve observed a surge in their brand visibility and e-commerce sales. This allows us to attribute specific business outcomes directly to their investments. Consequently, our discussions are evolving towards more refined conversations centered on business outcomes, rather than just pricing or reach metrics. It’s nice to see the gradual shift towards recognising cricket’s true value proposition, as it consistently delivers impressive results in terms of business outcomes and that’s essentially where most of our conversations are leading to.

On sharing any insights into the viewership trends and advertising opportunities that you anticipate during the World Cup

Building upon my previous point, it’s evident that we’re witnessing a notable increase in female viewership ratings, particularly within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) category. This surge is underpinned by a consistent trend of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) companies investing in major sporting events like the World Cup and IPL. Moreover, we’ve successfully onboarded several new clients who are venturing into cricket-related investments for the first time.

Also, the fintech sector emerges as a significant player in this arena, and this trend will be continued in future. Their alignment with cricket investments has proven advantageous, consistently translating into tangible outcomes such as increased app downloads and heightened search visibility.

As we transition into the summer season, we anticipate active participation from seasonal categories such as soft drinks, air conditioners etc. Concurrently, numerous product launches are on the horizon, with many coinciding with cricket events. This alignment has historically amplified campaign impact, a fact well-recognised by our clients who eagerly embrace this synergy.

So these early trends indicate promising opportunities, and we’re optimistic about channeling our business efforts in this direction.

IPL 2024 draws advertisers as CTV viewing trends soar

Mumbai: Indian Premier League continues to assert its dominance not only on the field but also in the realm of advertising. As the 2024 season kicks off, IPL is once again proving to be a magnet for advertisers, especially as Connected TV (CTV) viewing trends soar to new heights.

The tournament has consistently been a hotspot for advertisers looking to reach millions of passionate fans across the globe. However, the 2024 season brings a new dimension to advertising strategies with the surge in CTV viewership.

Connected TV, which refers to the streaming of television content over the internet via smart TVs, streaming devices, or gaming consoles, has witnessed a remarkable uptick in recent years. This rise can be attributed to various factors, including the proliferation of high-speed internet, the emergence of streaming platforms, and the growing preference for on-demand and personalised content consumption.

With more viewers opting for CTV platforms to watch their favorite sports events, advertisers are seizing the opportunity to connect with audiences in a more targeted and engaging manner. Unlike traditional television advertising, CTV allows for precise audience targeting based on demographics, interests, and viewing behavior, thereby maximizing the impact of ad campaigns.

The shift towards CTV advertising is also reshaping the dynamics of ad spending in the sports industry. As advertisers allocate a larger portion of their budgets to digital channels, traditional media platforms are facing increased competition for ad dollars. This trend underscores the importance for sports leagues like the IPL to embrace digital innovation and adapt to changing consumer preferences to remain competitive in the advertising landscape.

In response to the growing demand for CTV advertising opportunities, Indiantelevision reached out to industry experts where they explained how advertisers are adapting their strategies to target viewers on connected TV platforms during IPL 2024 and the factors that are driving the surge in connected TV viewership for IPL and capitalising on this trend.

Cricket enjoys a reverential status in India and advertising dollars are where users are. The surge in CTV viewership for IPL in both metros and satellite towns has been driven by factors like increasing internet penetration along with high speed data, availability of Smart TVs at a competitive price point, and the availability of streaming platforms. Additionally, with the broadcasting rights split between two epicenters – JioCinema on digital and Star Sports on offline mediums, there’s a wider audience available for advertisers. Advertisers are capitalizing on this trend by targeting ads specifically for the CTV audience, leveraging advanced targeting capabilities, and creating interactive and engaging ad formats to capture viewers’ attention effectively. Additionally, advertisers also can prioritize time-based and location-based user segmentation to target audiences beyond CTV. As organic searches for cricket matches go up, fans celebrate live viewing together in restaurants, or app-based activity for fantasy apps also increase, it’s a great opportunity to connect these users across screens to have a lasting brand impact in the high-adrenaline cricketing season!

In addition to this, it’s important to shift the focus from where the ad is being shown to who the ad is being shown to. That means finding the right audience and right channels of measurement, combined with the power of compelling creatives. For IPL, advertisers have the opportunity to leverage several attractive formats on CTV to achieve higher levels of brand engagement and recognition. Interactive ads, for example, are highly attractive and can be either through creating an animated background where products and the main messages of the ad gain a dedicated spot, or through the progress bar sync format, where the product or service becomes a part of the video. Brands can also leverage Smart QR codes to create powerful redirections and boost action. By programmatically catering to viewers on CTV, advertisers can also prioritize unifying reach through technologies like Household Sync and drive action on app, DOOH, or in-stores. This can help to break from the clutter and target viewers to see incremental lift across various metrics such as message association, brand awareness, purchase intent, and sales.

In the IPL season, advertisers must look beyond just one streaming platform to find their most relevant audiences and effectively engage with them. Advertising during IPL matches will get you a wide reach with a diverse range of engaged users that may or may not be your brand’s relevant audience.

Some strategies we’ve seen brands deploy this IPL season are:

Match moments-synced ads: the ads are activated in-sync with match moments or milestones, for example: after an bowler takes two wickets in an over or a batsman hits a half-century. These ads are served programmatically to create maximum impact & engagement.

Retargeting viewers across devices: As the same Ads run in every inning during IPL matches, viewer attention shifts to other devices or platforms. In fact, MiQ’s Advanced TV research report from India found that 56% viewers often or almost always use a second screen while streaming or watching content on TV. By retargeting consumers who have already shown interest in your brand across any device and delivering tailored ads on CTV, you have the chance to make a lasting impression

The biggest factor is the cost, as IPL is free to watch on TVs and mobile on the JioCinema app, which is driving up viewership numbers on Connected TVs and mobile devices.

CTV advertising offers access to affluent audiences that are hard to reach on linear TV. During big-ticket events like IPL, advertisers want to boost brand awareness, reach, and recall among cricket fans and their target group of customers. CTV ads provide better media planning, targeting, activation, and measurability than linear TV ads.

It’s no surprise that TV viewership is at its peak during tentpole sports events, and it’s attracting more and more advertisers. Programmatic CTV ad inventory for IPL is more cost efficient for advertisers.
