    Mumbai: The Penguin is in Mumbai! JioCinema Premium has released a gripping CGI video showcasing Gotham’s infamous criminal and kingpin Oz Cobb driving through in his purple Maserati. The video teases the viewers with the tagline “Mumbai will be his”. Live across digital media, the video creates intrigue in the Batman spinoff while showcasing Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin in his fierce gangster avatar.

    Starring Colin Farrell in the titular role, the eight-episode HBO Original limited series from DC Studios continues the epic crime saga that filmmaker Matt Reeves began with the global blockbuster – The Batman (2022), and acts as a vital link to its forthcoming sequel.

    Streaming in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi, The Penguin offers an action-packed dive into Gotham’s underworld.

    Apple TV+ greenlights ‘Sugar’ with Colin Farrell

    MUMBAI: Following a highly competitive situation, Apple TV+ has announced a series Sugar to feature Colin Farrell. It is a new genre-bending series hailing from creator and executive producer Mark Protosevich ‘Thor’, with the actor of ‘The Batman’ to be the executive producer and star in the lead role.

    Hailing from Apple Studios, the new series is set to be directed by Academy Award nominee Fernando Meirelles ‘City of God’ who will also serve as executive producer, and executive produced by Academy and Emmy Award nominee Simon Kinberg ‘X-Men’, Audrey Chon ‘Invasion’ and Scott Greenberg ‘The Guilty’. Chip Vucelich will also be executive producer.

    Sugar marks the second collaboration for Kinberg’s Genre Films and Apple TV+, and will stream alongside the series ‘Invasion’, which recently received a second season renewal. The series is a science-fiction drama series co-created, written and executive produced by Kinberg and David Weil.

    MUMBAI: A television sequel to the action-packed series of Minority Report adapted from filmmaker Steven Spielberg’s movie Minority Report starring Tom Cruise, Colin Farrell and Samantha Morton among others is premiering on FX and FX – HD on 7 March.

    To be telecast every Monday to Friday at 9.00 pm, the series is a sequel to what happened after Cruise shut down the pre crime programme, an experiment in justice that relied on the visions of three precogsto put bad guys behind bars in anticipation of the crimes they were hypothetically going to commit.

    The three precogs Agatha (Laura Regan), Arthur (Nick Zano) and his twin brother Dash (Stark Sands) integrate into society to live a normal life. However, flashes of murders yet to happen still enter their heads and Dash decides to ignore the abolishment of the pre crime unit to stop the murders and save lives. He decides to go vigilante with one of Washington DC’s detectives Lara Vega (Meagen Good).

    A one off concept redefining the ultimate Sci-Fi experience, the 2002 movie ‘Minority Report’ was extremely well-received by audiences and critics alike. Taking cue from the movie, the television series with the same name was introduced for television viewing audiences.

    This is the first ever Steven Spielberg movie to be adapted into a TV series, albeit as a sequel.

    MUMBAI: Season 2 of True Detective is all set to premiere simultaneously with its U.S. premiere on Monday, June 22nd at 6:30 a.m. with a repeat telecast on the same day at 10:00 p.m. – exclusively, 100% ad-free onHBO Premium Channel, HBO Defined.

     

    “True Detective”, returns for its Eight Episodic Second Season on June 22nd. A bizarre murder brings together three law-enforcement officers and a career criminal, each of whom must navigate a web of conspiracy and betrayal in the scorched landscapes of California. Written and created by Nic Pizzolatto, this series stars Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch where the first two episodes are directed by Justin Lin.

    Starring Golden Globe award winner Colin Farrell (Alexander, In Brudges) and Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey), the live action motion picture adaptation of Mark Helprin’s bestselling 1983 romantic fantasy epic will soon make your Valentine Day getaway a New York City adventure. The film adaptation of the classic 1983 novel by Mark Helprin vacillates between 1916 and present-day Manhattan.

    Take your Valentine on a journey to New York of the Belle Epoque and follow the journey of Peter Lake (Farrell), a thief who falls in love with Beverly Penn (Brown Findlay), a dying girl who has tuberculosis and occupies one of the houses he breaks into. Lake is saved from the insane Irish gangster Pearly Soames, played by Academy Award winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator) and his henchmen by Athansor, a mysterious white horse who becomes his guardian angel. Thus begins the love between the middle-aged Irishman and Beverly Penn, a young girl who is dying.

    Academy Award winning director Avika Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind) called this film his passion project resulting in him producing and writing the screenplay for it.

    The Newsday called the book, “a gifted writer’s love affair with the language”. On Good Reads, Winter’s Tale has a ranking of 4.05 based on 9,318 ratings.

    Soon after its release, Winter’s Tale was praised on the front cover of the New York Times Book Review (NYTBR), courtesy Benjamin De Mott. It was thought to be “funny, thoughtful, passionate and large-souled”.

    Winter’s Tale will cast its romantic magical spell in India next Friday, 14 February.

    Chris Pine has agreed to be one of the bosses in the movie. Christopher Waltz was also approached for the movie but he has turned down the offer.

    Sean Anders and John Morris are directing the movie that will see actors Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Jamie Foxx in the sequel as well. More roles are yet to be filled for the movie that will release next year on 26 November.

    The first movie turned out to be a box office hit collecting over $200 million worldwide and was directed by Seth Gordon.

    MUMBAI: The first movie opened to some spectacular reviews with Colin Farrell getting named as the worst boss in the movie. However, in the sequel, New Line is trying to find a replacement who can be an even worse boss than Farrell.

     

    Apparently, they have checked out Chris Pine and Christoph Waltz to play a father and son duo of Horrible Bosses in the upcoming flick. However, rumours are that Waltz hasn’t agreed but Pine has.

     

    The movie also has a new director- Sean Anders. The cast is Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Dey. It’s produced by Brett Ratner and Jay Stern while John Cheng and John Rickard are exec producers.

     

    The first movie collected an astonishing $200 million worldwide and was directed by Seth Gordon. The sequel is to be written by John Daley and Jonathan Goldstein who worked on the first one as well.
