    Chrome Data: Week 30 sees growth in 8 cities

    MUMBAI: Once again the opportunity to see (OTS) numbers collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media saw an upward peak.

     

    Week 30 saw maximum growth in the eight metros. Business News with 3.6 per cent topped the chart followed by English Movies with 3.4 per cent. Zee Business with 82.2 per cent OTS and Sony Pix with 73.7 per cent OTS were the top gainers in their respective genres.

     

    English News saw a jump of 2.7 per cent with Times Now continuing its reign in the category with 86.9 percent OTS. English Entertainment channels with 0.5 per cent too saw a minor jump in its genre. AXN with 70.1 per cent OTS was the chart topper.

     

    On the other hand, Religious channels in the Hindi speaking market (HSM) fell 1.5 per cent. Aastha with 96.8 per cent OTS continued its supremacy in the genre.

     

    Hindi News dropped by 1 per cent in the HSM with ABP News ruling the category with 95.9 per cent OTS.

     

    Across India, Kids channels and Sports channels dropped 0.7 per cent and 0.6 per cent, respectively. Cartoon Network with 85.6 per cent OTS and Ten Sports with 74.9 per cent OTS, both topped their respective genre.

    MUMBAI: After seeing a peak in opportunity to see (OTS) of various genres collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media, week 29 didn’t see much rise.

     

    Only two genres namely music and religious channels in the Hindi speaking markets (HSM) saw a jump of 0.4 per cent and 0.2 per cent, respectively.

     

    Sony Mix continued ruling the charts in the genre with 87.9 per cent OTS. Similarly, Aastha channel with 95.9 per cent OTS topped the genre.

     

    The week saw steep drops with English Entertainment channels in the eight metros with 4.3 per cent drop in the genre. AXN with 70.4 per cent OTS maintained its rein in the category.

     

    Business News in the eight metros followed with 3.5 per cent drop. However, Zee Business remained on top with 76.8 per cent OTS.

     

    English Movies with 2.6 per cent and English News with 2.3 per cent too saw a drop in the eight metros. Movies Now with 72.9 per cent OTS and Times Now with 85.2 per cent OTS topped their respective genres.

    MUMBAI: The week 28 saw a peak when it comes to opportunity to see (OTS) collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media. 

     

    English Entertainment channels in the eight metros grew by 5.2 per cent. AXN continued with its supremacy in the genre with 73 per cent OTS.

     

    Business News saw a jump of 4.3 per cent in the eight metros. Zee Business with 79.2 per cent OTS reined the category.

     

    Sports across the country jumped 2.9 per cent closely followed by English Movies with 2.6 per cent rise in the eight metros.

     

    Ten Sports with 75.5 per cent OTS and Movies Now with 75.8 OTS topped their respective genres.

    MUMBAI: As per Chrome Data Analytics & Media which collates opportunity to see (OTS), week 27 didn’t see any gain.

     

    Hindi Movies in the Hindi speaking markets (HSM) rose marginally by 0.4 per cent. Sony Max continued its successful run with 95.9 per cent OTS.

     

    Music channels in the HSM and Infotainment channels across India gained 0.2 per cent. Sony Mix with 88.3 per cent OTS and National Geographic Channel with 86.2 per cent OTS gained in their respective genres.

     

    However, a lot of genres did see downsize. English Entertainment channels in the eight metros saw the maximum fall of 2.3 per cent. AXN with 70.1 per cent OTS reigned in the genre.

     

    English movies in eight metros and sports channels across India saw a drop of 1.9 per cent. Movies Now with 75.1 per cent OTS and Ten Sports with 76.1 per cent OTS were at top, respectively.

     

    Business News dropped 1.8 per cent in the eight metros. Zee Business with 77.5 per cent OTS was the topper of the category.

    MUMBAI: According to Chrome Data Analytics & Media that week 26 saw the rise in English Movie channels when it comes to opportunity to see (OTS).

     

    In the eight metros, the genre jumped 2.1 per cent. Movies Now topped the chart with 75.1 per cent OTS.

     

    English Entertainment channels in the eight metros followed suit and gained 2 per cent. AXN with 72.2 per cent OTS topped the genre.

     

    Business News with 1.3 per cent and Sports channels across the country jumped 1.3 per cent and 0.8 per cent, respectively.

     

    Zee Business with 78.6 per cent OTS and Ten Sports with 76.5 per cent OTS continued the roost in their respective genres.

     

    Only three genres dipped this week.

     

    Religious channels in the Hindi Speaking Market (HSM) fell 0.9 per cent. Aastha channel with 96.5 per cent continued its reign in the genre.

     

    Hindi News in the HSM dropped 0.5 per cent followed by Hindi Movies with 0.1 per cent. ABP News garnered 94.3 per cent OTS while Max got 95.9 per cent OTS.

    MUMBAI: The week 25 belonged to Sports channels. In the data collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media for opportunity to see (OTS), the genre gained 2.4 per cent.

     

    Ten Sports across the nation scored the highest with 76.2 per cent OTS.

     

    It was followed by Infortainment channels, pan nation, with a minor jump of 0.5 per cent. In the genre, National Geographic Channel topped the list with 85.7 per cent OTS.

     

    Next came, the Hindi Movie channels and Music channel in the Hindi speaking markets (HSM). Both gained 0.4 per cent.

     

    Star Gold with 95.7 per cent and MTV with 88.0 per cent OTS reined their respective genres.

     

    As for the bottom genres, Business News channels saw a drop of 2.0 per cent in the eight metros. Zee Business with 76.8 per cent OTS gained the most.

     

    English Movie channels in the eight metros fell by 1.6 per cent. Movies Now continued its supremacy in the genre with 74.8 per cent OTS.

     

    Hindi News in the HSM and Kids channels across India both saw a fall of 0.3 per cent. ABP News with 94.6 per cent and Cartoon Network with 83.7 per cent OTS topped their respective genres.

    MUMBAI: Only one genre saw the upward trend in the opportunity to see (OTS) data collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media for week 23.

     

    The gainer for the week was the English News channel in the eight metros which saw a slight jump of 0.2 per cent. In the category, Times Now continued its reign with 88.5 per cent OTS.

     

    While English Entertainment channels in the eight metros fell 1.9 per cent. AXN with 72.2 per cent OTS topped the genre. Similarly, Business News channels in the eight metros too dropped by 1.5 per cent. Zee Business with 79.9 per cent OTS was the top gainer.

     

    Other genres which saw the downward trend were Infotainment channel across the nation with 1.3 per cent and Hindi News in the Hindi speaking market (HSM) with 1 per cent.

     

    National Geographic Channel with 86.4 per cent OTS and ABP News with 94.5 per cent OTS topped their respective genres.

    MUMBAI: As per Chrome Data Analytics & Media’s opportunity to see (OTS) data, music channels were the highest gainers for the week 21. The genre witnessed a growth of 1.2 per cent in the HSM markets.

     

    In this category, Sony Mix stood at number one position with 88.8 per cent OTS followed by MTV 87.7 per cent OTS, 9XM 82.8 per cent OTS, B4U Music 71.2 per cent OTS and 9X Jalwa 70.8 per cent OTS.

     

    Hindi GECs, this week saw a growth of 0.6 per cent with Star Plus at 96.8 per cent OTS followed by DD National 96.6 per cent OTS, Zee TV 96.4 per cent OTS, Life OK 96.0 per cent OTS and Sony Entertainment also 96.0 per cent OTS at the HSM markets.

     

    With a minor difference, Business News channels in the eight metros saw a gain of 0.4 per cent. Zee Business topped the genre with 80.2 per cent OTS followed by CNBC Awaaz 76.2 per cent OTS, ET Now 69.1 per cent OTS, CNBC TV18 64.3 per cent OTS and NDTV Profit 62.5 per cent OTS.

     

    Lastly, English movies channels gained 0.2 per cent with Movies Now scoring 76.2 per cent OTS followed by PIX 76.0 per cent OTS, Star Movies 68.6 per cent OTS, Zee Studio 64.9 per cent OTS and HBO 63.8 per cent OTS.

     

    As for the genres which saw a drop are Sports channels (All India), Hindi News channels (HSM), Kids (All India) and Hindi Movies (HSM).

    MUMBAI: As per the opportunity to see (OTS) collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media, week 18 saw English movie channels in the eight metros as the biggest gainer.

     

    The genre jumped 1.6 per cent with Sony Pix continuing to rule the roost with 76.1 per cent OTS.

     

    English News channels in the eight metros gained 1.4 per cent. Times Now with 85.6 per cent OTS reigned supreme in the genre.

     

    Similarly, Zee Business with 80.3 per cent OTS was on top in the business news category which jumped 1.0 per cent in the eight metros.

     

    English entertainment in the eight metros gained 0.8 per cent. AXN again topped the genre with 72.7 per cent OTS.

     

    The only genre which saw a drop in the week was the religious channels in the Hindi speaking market (HSM) which witnessed a minor drop of 0.2 per cent. However, Aastha channel continued its run on the top with 97.9 per cent OTS.

    MUMBAI: Unlike last week, week 15 didn’t see much of an increase or drop in the opportunity to see (OTS) data collated by Chrome Data Analytics & Media.

     

    The maximum gain was of mere 1.1 per cent for Business news channels in the eight metros. Zee Business gained the most with 78.3 per cent OTS.

     

    Music genre in the Hindi speaking market (HSM) jumped 0.8 per cent with Sony Mix continuing its grip on the top with 88 per cent OTS.

     

    It was closely followed by the English entertainment channels in the eight metros with 0.6 per cent gain. AXN continued its ruling the roster with 70.7 per cent OTS. Hindi News channels in the HSM came in last in the top gainers list with just 0.3 per cent gain. ABP News gained 94.2 per cent OTS.

     

    As for the bottom three, Infotainment channels saw a drop of 0.7 per cent. Discovery channels saw 85.9 per cent OTS. English news and English movie channels in the eight metros fell 0.2 per cent and 0.1 per cent, respectively.

     

    In their respective categories, Times Now and Pix continued to remain on top with 88.3 per cent and 77 per cent OTS.
