    MUMBAI: Horror flicks never go out of fashion. And, if it has ghosts with a funny bone, you are in for a treat. Sony Pix is all set to premiere the cult Ghost-comedy film Ghostbusters on 26 February at 1 pm and 9 pm.

    A laughter riot, the supernatural film is directed by the comedy master Paul Feig.

    With a slew of talented actors like Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth the film has no dull moments.

    Physicists Abby Yates (McCarthy) and Erin Gilbert (Wiig), co-authors of a research book on paranormal phenomena come together to solve a paranormal investigation .It is then that they witness a whole new world of paranormal beings hell bent to unleash a catastrophic apocalypse.     MUMBAI: The next installment of Marvel’s Avengers franchise – Avengers – Age of Ultron will release in India on 24 April, 2015, which is a week earlier than its North American release.

     

    This sequel to one of the highest grossing Hollywood film of all times The Avengers (2012), will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telegu versions simultaneously along with the English version.

     

    The movie stars Robert Downey Jr.(Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Don Cheadle (James Rhodes/War Machine), Cobie Smulders (Agent Maria Hill), Stellan Skarsg?rd (Erik Selvig) with James Spader (Ultron) and Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury).

     

    The movie will also see two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.

     

    Avengers: Age of Ultron has been written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige.

    MUMBAI:  India’s first formula 1 driver, Narain Karthikeyan has come on-board with Movies Now to actively promote the Indian television premiere of Rush on the channel. The racer was in awe of the gripping storyline and a stellar cast featuring Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Bruhl and Olivia Wilde of Rush.

    2013 would be a year of sequels in Hollywood

    MUMBAI: Hollywood is preparing to dish out sequels of Iron Man, Die Hard, The Hunger Games, Thor and The Fast and the Furious in 2013.

    Robert Downey Jr starrer Iron Man has already released two sequels while Bruce the Willis starrer Die Hard has four. The new film titled A Good Day to Die Hard will see Willis reprise his famous cop role of John McClane.

    The Hunger Games, based on American writer Suzanne Collins trilogy novel was widely appreciated by the audience after its release this year. Next movie is novel‘s second part The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

    The Fast and the Furious, an action film which has six films in its franchise will release its seventh part with Vin Diesel.

    American superhero film Thor starring Chris Hemsworth is returning to the screens again with Thor: The Dark World.

    Other the follow-up movies like Despicable Me, Monsters Inc and The Smurfs are also lined up for release this year.

    Alan Taylor set to direct Thor 2

    MUMBAI: Marvel Studios has zeroed in on Alan Taylor to direct the second season of Thor titled Thor 2.

    The studios picked Taylor from the short list to replace director Kenneth Branagh (director of the original) after he decided not to continue and Patty Jenkins who quit earlier this month, it is understood.

    Taylor made most of his accomplishments on television, directing among others the episode of The Sopranos, Mad Men and Game of Thrones. He made a name as a feature film director in 1995‘s Palookaville.

    Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman will again essay their roles as the titular character and his love interest respectively.

    The recruitment of Taylor has put the movie back on track to meet its November 15, 2013 release date.
