This Children’s Day, SBI Life brings to you an inspiring story of Dipti Gandhi & Muskan Foundation, under its digital property #DilBacchaTohSabAccha

MUMBAI: The celebration of Children's Day in India dates back to 1956. Children are regarded as the ‘future of the country’ and this day is celebrated to increase awareness of their rights, care and education. This Children’s Day, SBI Life Insurance along with Muskan Foundation support the cause of equal education to every MDVI (multiple disabilities with visual impairment) child of the NGO and prepare them to live an independent, confident and happy life.

Muskan Foundation is the only school in Mumbai that provides services to children with MDVI. Besides providing a holistic support to both children and their parents, the NGO is well equipped with trained staff in MDVI who follow multidisciplinary approach to work along with therapists to design a suitable program for the children.

Through this program, SBI Life Insurance will continue to support Muskan Foundation in providing special education and therapy services to children with multiple disabilities and also facilitate counselling to parents and spread awareness.

As per the UNESCO New Delhi report on ‘State of the Education Report for India 2019: Children with Disabilities’, 75% of children with disabilities at the age of 5 years and 25% between 5-19 years do not go to any educational institution. Taking cue from this situation which has been major impediment in India’s economic growth, Ms. Dipti Gandhi’s goal is to provide structured assessment, diagnosis and consultation to the differently abled children.

‘Child Welfare’ has emerged as one of the core themes under SBI Life’s CSR initiatives over the years. The company has leveraged Children’s Day to build a strong property ‘#DilBacchaTohSabAcha’ on Digital to communicate the ‘importance of approaching life with the zest and enthusiasm of a child and to live in the moment free from worldly worries’. #DilBacchaTohSabAcha further acts as a key instrument to advocate SBI Life’s efforts in the CSR space.

  • Let’s come together and change ‘Jao Khelne’ to #ChaloKhelne

Let’s come together and change ‘Jao Khelne’ to #ChaloKhelne

MUMBAI: Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Limited (ABHICL), the Health Insurance arm of Aditya Birla Capital Limited, a significant non-bank financial services, launches a unique campaign – #ChaloKhelne starting this Children’s Day (Nov 14, 2018) to reinforce its belief in empowering people and their families to live a healthy lifestyle.

In this digitized era, children are becoming increasingly dependent on their mobile and tabs and the joy of outdoor sports is diminishing at a rapid pace. This in turn is also affecting our children’s health making them inactive. The power to change this situation is in hands of the parents as the kids are likely to emulate what their parents do.

With this insight, we are urging parents to take the first step and motivate their children to opt for outdoors sports and join them to play a game they love and kick start the #ChaloKhelne movement. As it is a known fact that healthy habits start at home and children follow in the footsteps of their parents. More often than not, parents are their first role models.

Mr. Mayank Bathwal, CEO, ABHICL said, “Nowadays, the new age generation children are spending more time on electronic devices which keeps them indoor most of the time. Whereas, our childhood was dominated by outdoor playtime with soil under the sun. With #ChaloKhelne we want families to encourage children to play various outdoor activities and make it a part of their daily routine. It is Aditya Birla Health Insurance’s endeavor to promote an active healthy lifestyle and nurture life skills from an early age to lead a successful life and to make it a real movement.”

“In today’s era we live a sedentary lifestyle which increases our chances of suffering from innumerous lifestyle diseases. We are launching the #ChaloKhelne campaign to reinforce the philosophy of adapting healthy lifestyle.  With the #ChaloKhelne movement, we are also hoping to create an active generation that takes health seriously.” said Mr. Ajay Kakar, Chief Marketing Officer – Aditya Birla Capital.

BookMyShow appeals to parents on Children’s Day

MUMBAI: This Children’s Day, BookMyShow has a special message for all parents

Conceptualised and executed by BBH India, this children’s day film beautifully addresses the stigma that many Indian parents continue to face regarding the sexual orientation of their children. In consonance with the recent Section 377 verdict, it strikes an emotional chord and urges parents to love their children for who they are, regardless of who they love.

In the light of the historic Supreme Court judgement on section 377, BookMyShow and BBH chose to play out a story of love and acceptance against the backdrop of the magic of the movies.

BookMyShow SVP of marketing and business intelligence Marzdi Kalianiwala says, “Pursuant to the recent historic verdict of decriminalisation of Section 377, we wanted to put across our perspective and what better way to portray it than through the lens of entertainment. This film is our attempt in reaching out to all parents and asking them to accept their children for who they are.”

BBH India CCO and managing partner Russell Barrett adds, “The world of entertainment is probably the most egalitarian. There are no walls and no divisions here. In fact entertainment brings people together, across geography, language, religion, sexual preference and class. We were keen to cast a real couple in the lead roles for so many reasons, the most important being, it was the right thing to do. We are so very proud to partner a brave, aware and modern brand like BookMyShow in this initiative and hope to do much more going forward.”
