Zee Media appoints Manish Seth as chief revenue officer

NEW DELHI:  Zee Media has brought in Manish Seth as chief revenue officer, banking on his track record of doubling digital revenues to power the broadcaster’s next growth phase.

Seth joins with immediate effect from 28 October, the company told stock exchanges on Monday. The appointment, approved by the board on the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee, designates him as senior management personnel under India’s listing regulations.

The new chief revenue officer arrives with a formidable reputation. At TV9 Network, where he most recently served as revenue head for digital and business head for Money9, Seth doubled digital revenues in just two years. He also pioneered integrated television and digital sales models that broke new ground in Indian media.

Before TV9, Seth spent years at Zee Unimedia, Zee Media and Bennett Coleman, consistently delivering double-digit growth and launching multiple channels and products. His expertise spans revenue strategy, sales transformation, go-to-market planning and profit-and-loss management across broadcast and digital platforms.

Seth holds a postgraduate diploma in marketing management from the Times School of Marketing and a bachelor’s degree in science from Delhi University.

Zee Media is betting that Seth’s digital chops and proven ability to build high-performing teams will accelerate its transformation at a time when traditional broadcasters are scrambling to capture online audiences and advertising rupees. With 25 years of trench warfare in media sales under his belt, Seth now has the mandate to write the next chapter of Zee Media’s revenue story.

  • B4U Network hires new revenue chief

B4U Network hires new revenue chief

MUMBAI: Hemlata Yederi has moved to B4U Network as chief revenue officer after spending 14 years building the sales operation at rival broadcaster Sri Adhikari Brothers group. The move, effective September, hands her control of revenue strategy and partnership deals across B4U’s entertainment channels.

Yederi spent over a decade as national head of sales and latterly chief revenue officer at Sri Adhikari Brothers, where she managed advertising revenue for channels including Mastiii, the country’s leading music channel, Hindi film channels Dabangg and Dhamaal, Marathi regional channel Maiboli, and general entertainment channel Dillagi. That she’s now steering B4U’s monetisation efforts marks a significant coup for the network—and an uncomfortable loss for her former employer.

With three decades in media sales under her belt, Yederi’s career spans stints at NDTV, where she ran advertising sales for the west, and an 11-year run at Mid Day as associate vice president of sales. She cut her teeth in yellow pages sales at Getit Infomediary in the early 1990s, managing field and telesales teams before the digital revolution upended directory advertising.

At B4U, Yederi now oversees brand monetisation, media sales and cross-platform expansion for the Mumbai-based broadcaster. Her LinkedIn announcement, posted five days ago, came wrapped in the obligatory corporate sentiment about “people and purpose” and “balancing strategy with heart”—the sort of language that sounds earnest but means little.

What matters is execution. B4U has hired someone who knows how to extract revenue from India’s advertising market and has spent years doing precisely that for a competitor. Whether Yederi can replicate that success in new colours remains the only question worth asking. In media sales, loyalty lasts only as long as the next quarterly target.

  • Moneycontrol banks on Zarrar Don, plays ace to boost revenue and market grip

Moneycontrol banks on Zarrar Don, plays ace to boost revenue and market grip

MUMBAI: Ever heard of putting your money where your mouth is? Moneycontrol clearly has, as they’ve handed the revenue steering wheel over to none other than Zarrar Don—a man who doesn’t just chase opportunities, he tackles them to the ground. Is Moneycontrol placing all its eggs in one basket? Possibly, but when that basket is as sturdy as Don, who’s complaining?

On 18 March 2025, Moneycontrol officially announced Don as its new chief revenue & business growth officer, entrusting him to drive sales and revenue growth across all its formats. If you’ve ever wondered how Moneycontrol plans to stay ahead in India’s competitive financial news arena—well, now you know.

Don isn’t new to the big league. With over 20 years in media, financial services, and retail, he’s a seasoned pro at turning strategies into solid cash. His recent tenure as CRO for business news at News18 Studios showed he’s got the knack for revenue strategy, leadership, and brand building. Translation: he’s the guy you want in your corner during tough business brawls.

His role at Moneycontrol? Simple—grow, grow, and keep growing. His mission is to amplify Moneycontrol’s position as India’s go-to financial platform. A task he’s uniquely suited for, given his track record of turning big ideas into big results.

Moneycontrol, already India’s leading financial platform, pulls in impressive numbers—38.35 million unique visitors in January alone, according to Comscore MMX data. That’s 3.35 million more than The Economic Times, if anyone’s keeping score (which clearly, we are). Plus, Moneycontrol Pro, the platform’s subscription service, already crossed the one million subscriber milestone last October, catapulting it into the global top 15 news subscription platforms.

Clearly, Don’s job isn’t just about maintaining a lead; it’s about widening it enough to comfortably sip chai without spilling.

Will Don turn Moneycontrol’s promising growth into a money-spinning saga? Time will tell, but judging by his CV, we’re betting this Don’s rule will be one for the books.
