    Ashika Group brings in Vishesh Sharma as CMO

    Mumbai: Finacial services provider Ashika Group has appointed Vishesh Sharma as chief marketing officer (CMO). He will be based in Mumbai and report directly to Ashika Group CEO Chirag Jain.

    The bolstering of the company’s leadership ranks is in line with its vision of fortifying the personal finance ecosystem and transforming how New India manages its savings and investments with the newly-launched My Dhanush app, said the statement.

    At Ashika Group, Sharma will be responsible for brand building, content marketing, social media, and corporate communications for the retail business, which is stacked under the company’s master brand, My Dhanush, it added.

    “We are excited to welcome Vishesh, a passionate brand-builder, and are confident he will play a vital role in building a truly world-class FinTech brand,” said Chirag Jain. “I believe under his able leadership and in-depth understanding of customer communication, we will strengthen Ashika further and drive growth across our portfolio.”

    A communications veteran, Sharma joins Ashika Group with 13 years of extensive and diverse work experience across fields, including brand communication, content marketing, corporate communications, reputation management, internal communications, public affairs, and financial education. In his previous stint, he was with Angel One as head of content marketing, corporate communications, and strategic alliances, where he successfully transformed the company’s image from a traditional broker to a fintech. He also led the retail communication for Angel One’s IPO.

    Earlier, Sharma also served as the chief content strategist for Sharekhan by BNP Paribas, where he helped set up the digital assets department. He has worked with some prominent brands like Dalal Street Investment Journal, Progressive Media Group among others.

    In the last couple of years, he has been conferred with multiple marketing awards, including Corporate Communications Person of The Year, Marketing Leader of the Year (BFSI), and Content Marketing Professional of the Year.

    Mumbai: Ed-tech company myclassroom on Wednesday announced the appointment of Joydeep Mukherjee as chief marketing officer. myclassroom provides learning centers for students aspiring for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, NTSE, KVPY, and Olympiads across the country.

    In this role, Mukherjee will lead the marketing function, with end-to-end responsibility of brand building, business growth, and customer experience, said the statement.

    Mumbai: Bakery foods company Britannia Industries Ltd (BIL) on Friday announced the appointment of Amit Doshi as chief marketing officer, effective from 17 January.

    ‘’I am happy to welcome Amit back to the Britannia family. Amit’s cross-sectoral marketing experience will be valuable in taking our innovation mindset to the next level and building consumer delight,” said BIL managing director Varun Berry.

    With over 17 years of experience, Doshi has expertise in brand marketing, sales, and customer development.     Mumbai: Manish Agarvwal has joined Loktantra Mediatech, a startup in the social media space, as chief marketing officer (CMO). He was previously associated with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zeel) as vice president and head of marketing for their lifestyle channel Zee Zest.

    Agarvwal has 15 years of experience out of which a decade was spent in the television broadcast industry. He joined Zeel in February 2014 as brand head for Zee Cinema SD and HD, Zee Action, Zee Anmol Cinema and Zee Cine Awards. Prior to that, he was associated with Times Network as content and digital marketing manager for Movies Now and Movies Now HD. He has also had stints at broadcasters Star TV Network and Sony Pictures Networks India.

    He is an alumnus of NL Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research.

    In his new role, Dasgupta will be responsible for scaling growth across the levers of brand and marketing, partnerships, community culture and engagement, and product innovation, said the company in a statement.

Previously, he was head of marketing at Akiva Superfoods, Aakash Digital, Xynteo, a Norwegian sustainability firm, and Dineout. The first decade of his career was spent as an entrepreneur in advertising, where he supported the growth of emerging businesses across India, from industries as diverse as education, healthcare, diagnostics, FMCG, NBFCs, pharma, footwear, and infrastructure.

    Sarda has rich experience of more than 14 years, he last served at Marico Ltd as head – manufacturing commercial.     Mumbai: Debt markets platform CredAvenue has brought on board former Rupeek executive Karanpreet Bindra as its chief marketing officer. He will be based out of Bangalore and report directly to Gaurav Kumar.

    In his current role, Bindra will oversee the entire gamut of digital, product and brand marketing at CredAvenue for both the enterprise and the B2C businesses.

    He will also be responsible to look after the company’s global brand strategy, digital marketing strategy and innovation, product marketing strategy, and incubation of a consumer business. As CMO, Bindra will define a digital-first path for all marketing efforts at CredAvenue, said the statement.

    “Bindra has a clear vision for the future of marketing and innovation and can build a strategic team to execute the vision at CredAvenue,” said Kumar. “He is an all-rounder veteran who also has an entrepreneurial bent and we do foresee that the team and the brand will flourish under his guidance.”

    Prior to joining CredAvenue, Bindra worked at Rupeek as head of marketing. He was also associated with Marico for close to seven years and was a group ex-pat based out of Dubai. He also had stints with Akzonobel, and Future Brands.

    As a growth specialist for over 15 years, Bindra has experience working with multiple seasoned brands ranging from FMCG, fintech, personal care, and paints across a wide geography in India and the Middle East.

    Mumbai: Jones Lang LaSalle Inc (JLL) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Siddharth Taparia to the global role of chief marketing officer (CMO), effective immediately. He will be responsible for the company’s global marketing strategy and will oversee all marketing activities worldwide, it said.

    “As the real estate industry evolves in response to macro trends including rising capital allocations, sustainability, technology transformation and increasing commercial real estate outsourcing, Siddharth’s proven success as an innovator and strategic marketer will be instrumental in positioning JLL’s full capabilities to the market,” said JLL CEO Christian Ulbrich. “Siddharth’s background in leading commercially driven marketing teams in large, globally matrixed organisations will enable him to bring together our marketing talent across the globe to focus on our purpose of shaping the future of real estate for a better world.”

    Taparia is an accomplished author and advisor on data privacy, cloud computing and value-driven marketing. He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya in Bhopal before moving to the US to earn his master’s degree from Texas A&M University.

    He is a member of the CMO Club and sits on the board of the CMO Council. He was named in 2018 as one of the 40 Under 40 by DMN, an organisation focused on digital and data-driven marketing.
