    CNN and Hyundai launch campaign honoring changemakers and visionaries

    Mumbai: CNN International Commercial (CNNIC) and Hyundai Motor company are partnering to launch a cross-platform campaign celebrating extraordinary success stories worldwide. This collaboration features a blend of branded content, advertising, and sponsorship, bringing Hyundai Motor’s mission of ‘Progress for Humanity’ to life through engaging storytelling for CNN’s global audiences.

    The campaign’s branded content includes two films by CNNIC’s global brand studio, Create, showcasing Hyundai Motor’s commitment to sports. In the first film, Australian surfer and Hyundai ambassador Laura Enever, a Guinness World Record holder, raises awareness for female surfers and advocates for the sport’s future. Through a documentary-style approach, Enever’s story empowers young female surfers to follow their dreams.

    Hyundai Motor will also sponsor Visionaries, an editorial series airing across CNN International’s TV, digital, and social platforms from November through April. Visionaries will highlight leaders in fields like art, business, technology, and sports, aligning with Hyundai’s goal of promoting quality of life. The series, hosted by CNN’s high-profile correspondents and anchors, will showcase stories of people shaping a better world.

    ‘We are excited to collaborate with Hyundai Motor Company on this inspiring campaign that underscores our shared commitment to spotlight the diversity of inspiring leaders across different fields of importance who have each pioneered change for the better,” said CNN International Commercial, senior vice president, Cathy Ibal. “Through our authentic storytelling and a rich mix of branded content and the editorial series, we hope the compelling stories we shared will inspire CNN’s global audiences and spark meaningful conversations.”

    The first Visionaries episode aired on 2 November, featuring Olympic champions Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles on handling pressure, alongside former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi discussing balancing motherhood with leadership.

    NatGeo commemorates Earth Day with ‘One for Change’ campaign

    Mumbai: National Geographic has announced the launch of its one-of-its-kind initiative titled ‘One for Change’ to commemorate Earth Day. The initiative will showcase a series of short films, spotlighting the stories of ten changemakers who have taken extraordinary steps to save the planet and make the world a better place.

    Premiering 22 April on the television platforms of National Geographic and the entertainment channels across Disney Star, the films will also be released on National Geographic social media handles that have a combined following of over 10 million in India.

    With an aim to inspire and encourage viewers to take that one step and ‘be the one for change’, the stories will focus on the journey of these passionate individuals and get the viewers acquainted with their lives, their passions and shine a light on what pushed them to follow the path of planet conservation.

    “Furthering the knowledge and understanding of our world is at the core of National Geographic. Through the years, we have helped our viewers better understand and care about our world, with our thought provoking and fact based narratives,” said Disney Star head – network entertainment channels Kevin Vaz. “With ‘One for Change’, we wanted to uplift and inspire our viewers, through the remarkable stories of incredible individuals, from across the country, who have taken that first step and more, towards loving our planet.”  

    “Given the nature and the purpose behind the initiative, we will have the might of the entire entertainment channels at Disney Star championing the films across our channels and give them the thrust they need to reach out to millions of our audiences. With this, we hope that these stories of passion, triumph and sheer love for our Mother Earth and its people will ignite a spark and inspire all planet lovers to take that one little step towards building a sustainable and hopeful future for the Earth,” he further added.

     The ten changemakers featured in the series are:

    •     Vani Murthy- Known as the Worm Queen, Murthy is spreading awareness about the importance of composting
    •     Purnima Barman Devi- The leader of the Hargila Army, working towards the protection of endangered Greater Adjutant Stork
    •     Tejas Sidnal – An architect who has innovated a unique tile that is made from carbon waste
    •     Venkatesh Charloo – A pioneering marine conservationist, helping in coral restoration in Goa
    •     Vidyut Mohan – 2020 ‘UNEP Young Champion of the Earth’, Mohan has created a machine that converts waste farm residue into products of value for farmers
    •     Varsha Raikar – RJ with Radio Bundelkhand who raises awareness against climate change
    •     Rukmani Katara- CEO of a solar company, igniting a renewable energy revolution in rural India
    •     Poonam & Aditya Singh- A couple that is rewilding barren land on the outskirts of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve as a buffer between man and animal
    •     Thulasi Gouda- Padma Shri winner Gouda has been preserving forests in her village for 50 years and is called the living encyclopedia of the forests
    •     Sonam Wangchuk- An eco-architect who has pioneered the creation of carbon neutral structures in Ladakh using elements from nature

    MUMBAI: Levi’s® celebrates the power of women and their determination to inspire change, with the fourth edition of its successful #IShapeMyWorld campaign.

    The stories featured in the last three seasons have touched hearts and have helped the campaign take the shape of a movement that unites diverse women – by inspiring them with powerful stories of unstoppable women who have shaped their world on their terms.

    Arjuna awardee Jwala Gutta has always been in the thick of action both on and off the court. Jwala’s story is about following one’s path, staying focused and not accepting pre-conceived notions of the world about gender or popular acceptable behavior.

    In her journey from being a regular Punjabi girl to being one of the most renowned rappers in India, Hard Kaur has worked her way up with no short-cuts. Braving the pressures of the otherwise male-dominated industry, she turned her life around by focusing on her passion, i.e. music. Her story of staying true to her name and boldly paving her journey is an inspiration to several artists in the country today.

    Bollywood singer, Aditi Singh Sharma never gave up on her dreams and continues her quest today. From not knowing Hindi properly, to being the only girl singing in a rock band, to going door to door with a demo CD to all musicians, Aditi has done it all. Aditi’s story is all about moving forward and overcoming all challenges in her way.

    Born in Banaras, UP, a conservative ecosystem, where women are only expected to stay within the confines of their kitchens and homes, the Singh sisters decided to be the change.  Fueled by their passion for Basketball the sisters channelized all the negativity being poured on to them to become the forerunners of women’s basketball in India. By fighting the conservative society and living their dreams, the Singh sisters have set an example for others to follow.

    Since the last season, Levi’s® has gone a step further by taking this campaign on ground with a Live session. The Live session will see two of these inspiring women in an intimate conversation with a curated set of audience adding on to these power-packed stories.
