    Chalkboard Entertainments announces a strategic partnership with media veteran Sandeep Bhargava

    Mumbai: Chalkboard Entertainment, a content company dedicated to producing compelling narratives, has announced a strategic partnership with media veteran Sandeep Bhargava to strengthen their business and content strategy. As a part of his role as a partner, Bhargava will be responsible for taking the organisation to its next phase of growth.

    An industry veteran, with an exemplary career spanning over 33 years, Bhargava has an extensive track record of transforming companies into highly successful businesses. From collaborating with internationally acclaimed directors and producers to playing a pivotal role in establishing India’s largest film studios – UTV, Sahara One, Viacom18 (Studio18), and The Indian Film Company (One of the first media companies to be listed on the AIM Exchange in London), Sandeep has been a valuable partner to some of the industry’s biggest names for over three decades.

    Mumbai: With another weekend upon us, it is time to unwind with the latest Q&A edition of Indiantelevision.com’s Weekend Unwind—a series of informal chats that peek into the minds of business executives through a fun lens in an attempt to get to know the person behind the title a little better.

    In this week’s session, we have Chalkboard Entertainment co-founder Shujaat Saudagar.

    Saudagar fell into the rabbit hole in 1999 where he mentored under Prahlad Kakkar, also known as the Godfather of Indian advertising. He moved on from Genesis and directed an award-winning short film, Bali, along with the biggest ad campaigns for Pepsi, Lava Mobiles, KFC and Datsun. He stepped into the world of features with his debut directorial, Rock On 2!

    Saudagar helms Rabbit Hole Films and has directed an Amazon Original series called Bambai Meri Jaan, based on a best-selling book by Hussain Zaidi. He recently directed an experimental feature, The Underbug, which won the Grand Jury Award at The Slamdance Film Festival 2023.

    With an experience of over 14 years in the industry, Bhutani has been an executive producer for multiple path-breaking films like Gully Boy, Dil Dhadakne Do, Talaash, Fukrey franchise and Rock On 2! He also co-produced three original series for Amazon – Mirzapur, Made in Heaven, and Inside Edge, under the banner of Excel Entertainment. Stepping into the role of a freelancing EP, Vikesh worked on the Netflix original film Yeh Ballet for Roy Kapur Films. He also worked on Shakun Batra’s Gehraaiyaan produced by Dharma Productions.
