    MEC India wins GoDaddy media account

    MUMBAI: WPP’s MEC India has won the media mandate for GoDaddy, the technology provider dedicated to small businesses.

     

    With over 12 million customers, GoDaddy manages more than 57 million domains globally. The company’s stated ambition is to help people easily start, confidently grow and successfully run their own ventures.

     

    GoDaddy has identified India as a priority market for their global expansion. The company recently signed on Mithun Chakraborty with a view to democratise internet-enabled businesses in India.  

     

    MEC North head Roopam Garg added, “We are delighted to have the opportunity to partner GoDaddy on their exciting journey. GoDaddy is all about empowering people in their quest for success and we are happy to play a small role in this great endeavour.”

     

    The clientele list of the agency includes Colgate Palmolive, Britannia, NIVEA,  FlipKart, Citibank, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters, General Electric, Zee Network, Reliance Group, CavinKare, to name a few.

     MUMBAI: Indian right–arm off break spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been roped in as a brand ambassador by CavinKare for its diary
    division Cavin’s Milkshakes.

    The cricketer will also endorse the entire range of Cavin’s dairy products.

    The tagline of the product will be ‘So tasty, so healthy’.

    Speaking on the association, CavinKare joint managing director T.D. Mohan said, “We are extremely glad to have Ravichandran Ashwin represent Cavin’s Milkshake. He personifies the brand, its core values and we have recognized a great synergy between him and our brand. The ideal blend of energy and spirit makes Ashwin the right choice of being the face for Cavin’s Milkshakes.”

  • Curry Nation picks up Indica dye creative biz

    MUMBAI: Mumbai-based advertising outfit Curry Nation has walked away with the creative duties for CavinKare‘s hair dye brand Indica. The win is the outcome of a multi agency pitch called by the brand earlier this year in January.

    This is the fourth brand from the Chennai headquartered FMCG stable that the indie agency has won the creative mandate for. Curry Nation already handles the creative duties for Fairever, Hi5 and Spinz (talcs and deos).

    The immediate mandate for the agency is to create a brand personality that appeals to a national audience.

    “The brand Indica has prominent presence in the south and our goal is to take the brand national. We have done some research and will work towards fortifying the brand identity and make it consistent to suit a national coverage,” informs Curry nation founder and director Priti Nair.

    There will be a 360 degree campaign in order to achieve this goal, including focus on digital and retail. The campaign will break sometime in early June. The media agency on record for the entire brand portfolio of CavinKare is MEC.

    Some of the other creative agencies that work on CavinKare diverse range of products/brands include Leo Burnett, Orchard and Contract Advertising.

    Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra has been appointed as the new brand ambassador for Spinz by FMCG major CavinKare.

    CavinKare marketing manager Keshav Kumar said, “We see synergies in appointing Parineeti as the brand ambassador for Spinz as she embodies and reflects the contemporary girl of today. She reflects the brand philosophy of ‘Stop Me If You Can‘ while having fun with every challenge that comes in her way.     Jatin Bhatt joins CavinKare as VP-marketing

    MUMBAI: FMCG major CavinKare has appointed Jatin Bhatt as VP-marketing and business development.

    Bhatt has joined in from Pidilite where he was working as chief of marketing.

    Based in Mumbai, Bhatt will be responsible for modern trade marketing, OTC and strategic alliances.

    CavinKare chairman and MD CK Ranganathan said, “Jatin comes with excellent track records in marketing functions. He shall be a key member of the company‘s ‘go-forward‘ leadership team.”

    Bhatt brings in over 10 years of experience in marketing. He has also worked with Tata Tea and Marico India.
