    Borges Group plans India launch, appoints Carat Media

    MUMBAI: Borges Mediterranean Group, exporters of branded olive oil from Spain, has appointed Aegis Media Group’s Carat Media for its India launch.


    The company wants to be seen as one of the leading brands related to not just the Mediterranean diet in India but as a promoter of the Mediterranean lifestyle offering healthy food products. And to help them launch products impact fully in the relatively nascent Indian market, Borges has entrusted its media planning and buying duties to
    Carat Media.


    Borges Mediterranean Group has a presence in about 100 countries and offers a range of olive oils, vinegars, vinaigrettes, dry fruits/nuts and popcorn.
     
    Carat Media SVP Vidhu Sagar said, “We keenly look forward to partnering Borges in building the Sunday Brunch concept in India through our Integrated Communication Planning process. We would be providing solutions for Borges across multiple media platforms including television and print.”


    Borges has already made considerable investments in the areas of product planning, sales and distribution network in India.

    MUMBAI: Aegis Media India is bringing all its subsidiary companies under one roof. The first integrated media office will house Aegis Media, Carat Media, Posterscope, Vizeum, Isobar, Brandscope and Carat Fresh Integrated & Hyperspace.

    The initiative, being first of its kind in India, will enable clients to get media planning & buying, OOH, full service digital facilities including creative, SEM, SEO, social media, retail, visual merchandising and activation services will come under the single umbrella office.
     
    Aegis Media chairman India & CEO South Asia Ashish Bhasin said, “This is a landmark move for us and I predict it will be a trendsetter in the industry.     The office incorporates the latest in technology. It is designed by the interior specialist Shashikala Chander.

    The new Aegis Media office is strategically located on the top floor of Poonam Chambers ‘B‘ in Worli.

    MUMBAI:Sonear, earlier known as Donear, decided to hike its annual ad spend by 50 per cent this year to over Rs 150 million.

    The company has also awarded its media planning and buying duties to Carat Media.

    Sonear is the flagship brand of Sonear Industries, apart of the Jitendra Kejriwal Group with a turnover of over Rs 1.70 billion, and is among the top three players in the premium decorative veneers segment in India.

    Sonear Industries CMD Jitendra Kejriwal said that the brand is keen to announce the name change in the marketplace and reassert itself as the supremo in the veneers, laminate and ply industry. It’s also willing to invest whatever it takes to be the No.1 player in the category.

    Donear has been a known brand of plywood and laminates for over two decades in the country and recently changed its name to Sonear. It has about 1,800 outlets across India.
