ISL: DHL unveils campaign; to engage 450 million

MUMBAI: DHL Express, the world’s leading international services provider, and the ‘Official Logistics Partner’ of the Hero Indian Super League’s (ISL) has announced its launch of an interactive 360 degree brand campaign – “We know, great is in the detail”.

The campaign is poised to reach over 450 million people across the country, and will leverage an array of engaging touch-points. These include a four-part television commercial series aired on national television, DHL-ISL branded fleets across four cities -Mumbai, Pune, Cochin and Chennai, social media contest across the eight match venues and in-stadia branding throughout the duration of the ISL. Additionally, the campaign will roll out OOH hoardings, tie-ups with online ticketing partners as well as BTL activations to increase engagement with ISL fans.

“The brand campaign – We know, great is in the detail – has been shaped around DHL’s ability to achieve success through its devotion to detail. As Official Logistics Partner to several prestigious events across the globe, we know that it is the little details that come together to bring the moment alive. Be it in art, music, sport or business – the attention to detail is critical to success,” says DHL Express SVP & Country Manager, India, RS Subramanian,  “This year, the campaign’s mainstay is the four-part TVC that engages football fans by creating that ‘wow’ factor and surprises them with details about the sport that they might not yet know about.”

Williams Lea Tag India, managing director Amit Chandra said, “We took the creative route of presenting “Unknown Facts”: highlighting little-known aspects about the sport that would amaze and enthuse football fans. At the same time, the TVCs were developed to deliver the message that DHL knows that great is in the detail – in a tone and manner relevant to the target audience. I wish them and the campaign huge success in garnering eyeballs.”

Cadbury Bournvita Biscuits introduces new tiffin pack

MUMBAI: Mondelez India Foods is set to launch a new tiffin pack of its highly successful Cadbury Bournvita Biscuits with an aim to encourage consumers to make it a habit in the morning to have the biscuit.

The company sees the morning snacking occasion as a big opportunity for a product that brings together taste and nutrition as Cadbury Bournvita Biscuits has been positioned as a purposive morning product that has the pro-health vitamins along with the goodness of Bournvita, a drink Indian consumers have loved for decades.

The new tiffin pack aims to offer convenience, freshness and portion-control in serve size packs of six cookies (27.8) gm each, according to a company statement. The pack will have nine such tiffin packs.

Cadbury Bournvita Biscuits is the company’s second brand in the biscuits category after Oreo, which was launched in 2011. Since its launch in April 2016, Cadbury Bournvita Biscuits has seen good response from consumers for its crunchy, chocolaty taste.

Reinforcing its positioning of ‘Taiyyari Jeet Ki’, the inner tiffin packs come with a ‘Today, I will….’ section that allows mothers to write the pledge of the day for their children when they carry the pack for an out-of-home snack. The inner pack serves as a way to initiate a dialogue between mothers and children and for mothers to prepare their children for the challenges that the day brings along.

Mondelez India Foods Biscuits India, marketing associate director Chella Pandyan said in a statement, “The morning consumption occasion is the single-largest consumption occasion for Biscuits in India. With the success of Cadbury Bournvita biscuits, the next step for us was to rollout the product in larger-pack sizes to further build on our play in the morning consumption occasion. We have also tried to build on a mother’s brand positioning of Taiyyari Jeet Ki (preparing for a win) through some interesting packaging innovation aimed at facilitating a fun interaction between mothers and children.”

The tiffin pack has been priced at Rs. 60 and will be rolled out across India.

Shuruaat Hoon Main : Prasoon resonates Global Citizen’s cause

MUMBAI: “If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make the change.”

King of Pop, Michael Jackson, sang these lines in his 1987 song ‘Man In The Mirror.’ Ironically, the lines still haven’t lost its relevance, as we continue to procrastinate from acting upon that much needed social change from within.

Reinforcing the idea of ‘starting with oneself’, the celebrated lyricist and McCann Worldgroup South Asia chairman has penned the phrase ‘Shuruaat Hoon Main’ or ‘It starts with me’, which strikes the core sentiment behind the Indian chapter of Global Citizen, that the Global Education and Leadership Foundation (tGELF) launched recently.

“We need to realise that the change has to start from us. We can keep blaming the government, keep blaming the society or organisations and corporations, but we forget we can be a start of a change as well. We should at least do what is within our control. The line ‘Shuruaat Hoon Main’ should be a pledge to ourselves to spearhead change,” Joshi elaborated on the thought behind the line.

Global Citizen has launched an ambitious plan to eradicate extreme poverty in the world. The India chapter has initiated a 15-year long campaign that will  focus on creating a meaningful impact in three key areas: quality education, gender equality, and clean water and sanitation.

Celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor, AR Rahman, Aamir Khan and others have pledged their commitment to the social cause, each resonating Joshi’s line ‘Shuruaat Hoon Main’.

Mobilising a generation from 1.2 billion population to act on social change is not a mean fete, and thus Global Citizen has aggressively made strategic partnerships leveraging its brand power, to reach far and wide. McCann Worldwide Group’s association with the movement is a fine example. “This isn’t a regular commercial deal. Of course, the cost of production of the campaign is being met, but it has been done in complete spirit of philanthropy. Wherever we could, we have tried to cut down the cost as a goodwill gesture,” Joshi frankly states about the nature of the collaboration.

Apart from McCann Worldgroup, Global Citizen India has also roped in Wizcraft International Entertainment, Viacom18 and Times of India group as partners to aid in media management and coverage of the campaign across media.

Infact, Wizcraft and tGELF chairman Shiv Khemka had approached Joshi to seek McCann’s association with the movement and lend his pen to the cause.

Asked if McCann is committed to the campaign for 15 years, Joshi stated, “We would love to have a long-term association. I personally believe that a cause like this requires an extended commitment to see worthwhile change. Otherwise, it just remains as flash in the pan. It is important that there is consistency to what a brand like Global Citizen says. We would like to have a unceasing association depending on how other variables align.”

The inaugural Global Citizen Festival India, scheduled in Mumbai on 19 November 2016, will be headlined by Coldplay, Jay Z,  Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, AR Rahman, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Arijit Singh, Dia Mirza, Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Monali Thakur.

While a video shot by actor Aamir Khan has been launched at the inaugural event of Global Citizen India, McCann’s team is in the process of making more creatives leading to the festival in November, based on the feedback of the first audio-visual. The upcoming parts may feature more celebrated faces from Bollywood.

Association of several major artistes and international guests will be announced at different stages of the campaign.

‘Stop looking at me,’ says HP Spectre’s OOH campaign

MUMBAI: Fresh ways herald new products. To inform and educate the customers about HP’s new laptop range Spectre that boasts of being the thinnest laptop, the brand has executed an OOH Campaign in three key cities — Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore. Milestone Brandcom is its OOH partner in the initiative. In line with the product proposition, out of home space has also been reinvented by taking large and impactful media in the three metros.

Milestone Brandcom senior VP Ravi Ambrose commented saying, “The core idea behind the campaign was not just to be visible or convey the message to the core TG (target group) but also to be visible with an impact. That was the starting point. We put some serious energy in terms of identifying the sites. Plus, the messaging is also not the same all across. We have contextually changed the message to be able to engage the TG more meaningfully and not just strike a one-way conversation with a mere product messaging. e.g. “Stop Looking at me or you will miss your plane’ at the airport and ‘Stop looking at me or you will be late’ on the road”.

In Gurgaon, the Rapid Metro train has been wrapped with HP Spectre branding which looks ravishing. Cluster hoardings have been put up to make it an impactful campaign. High Impact Airport media has also been taken to cater to the affluent.

The powerful creative on all the impact media taken across the board is grabbing more and more eyeballs each day. The campaign has got great feedback. The HP campaign has taken OOH to a new standard of execution.

Del Monte casts its spread in eight variants
