  • Manforce condoms rolls out a new ad ahead of Father’s Day

Mumbai: Manforce condoms has released a new ad ahead of Fathers’ Day in continuation of its last year’s campaign ‘Better Endings’ on unplanned fatherhood. The ad points to the increased time spent behind closed doors by couples getting caught up in increased moments of intimate indulgence, leading to a sudden rise in the number of quarantine babies!

The campaign draws inferences from multiple news reports on the existing home-quarantine conditions that caused an unplanned baby boom due to the segregation of couples globally while implicating the lack of protection.

“Based on our research and the current situation, we continued with our season 2 of the campaign, while keeping the core message intact. This is the best occasion to warn men against the fatherhood situation that they will land in if they do not use protection,” says Grapes Digital COO & strategy head Shradha Agarwal, the agency behind both seasons of the #BetterEndings campaign.

She added that the theme bears in mind that even during the fresh round of lockdowns for the second COVID- 19 wave, there was a rise in quarantine babies being conceived.

The campaign hilariously depicts how the enforced segregation indoors can result in inadvertent romantic encounters, leading up to unplanned parenthood, if one is not cautious. The latest film depicts various situations wherein the husband scores brownie points over his wife while helping out in sundry household tasks. At the joint completion of every chore, he impishly teases with a ‘Who’s your daddy?’ query at the wife.

The film concludes with the same query but, just when the couple’s intimate moment is interrupted by the sound of a crying baby. This makes for the film’s telling final message to viewers on choosing the right way to be called ‘ the daddy’ with #BetterEndings always being a matter of (the right) choice.’

A strong message on the importance of adopting safe, protected sex is soaked in a fun and light-hearted package to appeal to viewers across the spectrum. Just like the first creative in the campaign, this one too ends with the teaser: “For all those who don’t like the ending, we have a better one. For all those who do? Happy Father’s day!”

The campaign scores on its entertainment quotient, even as it educates viewers about relevant topics like unplanned pregnancy leading to impending parenthood.

Commenting on the need behind the campaign, Mankind Pharma DGM Joy Chatterjee said, “Safe intimate relations have always been our core message to our consumers. The situation remains the same as last year similar and hence the thought of the continuation of our #BetterEndings campaign. The concept and thought behind the campaign remain the same. It’s an initiative to reach out to the masses to keep them informed that we all should have our share of fun but be cautious and take necessary protection.”

The ad is now live across all social media platforms.

  • Ovenstory Pizza rolls out new campaign for its ‘Standout Pizza’ offering

New Delhi: Home-grown Ovenstory Pizza unveiled its new brand campaign – ‘The Standout Pizza’, showcasing its innovative pizza flavours which sets it apart from other pizza brands.

The four-film campaign conceptualised by Wondrlab promotes the brand’s personal ‘Semizza’ offering, where customers can order half cut 11” pizzas of their favourite toppings and preferences. The campaign introduces children as the protagonists who highlight the real issues of mainstream pizzas – too much crust, basic cheese flavours, and importantly the lack of options to choose half-pizzas – Semizzas.

It also talks about how the current pizzas do not give consumers the choice of cheeses, and the personal pizza category is still limited which often compromises on toppings. The campaign serves as the launch of the brand’s positioning as a ‘standout pizza’.

“The key to any successful campaign is clear messaging,” says Rebel Foods’ global head – marketing communication and design, Indrajit Ghosh adding that Ovenstory pizza is a disruptor in its category, and it was important for the messaging to come out clearly. “The ad-film campaigns by Wondrlab bring the essence of the brand, while effectively conveying how we stand out from the crowd. The films have been appreciated on various platforms and we look forward to this continued partnership and creating memorable campaigns together,” he says.

Wondrlabs’ co-founder and chief creative officer, Amit Akali says, the team experienced the brand, before dipping their hands into the task of bringing out real, everyday conversations around pizzas.  “To make every film interesting and add a surprise element to it, we had an interesting reveal of the kids. e.g. In one of the ads, the kids are camouflaged within the furniture, while in another they are hidden in the plants. The challenge of course was doing all of this in 15/20 seconds! The initial reactions have been encouraging and we look forward to some great results,” he added.

  • Nestlé India buoys consumer confidence with new print campaign

Nestlé India buoys consumer confidence with new print campaign

Kolkata: After the Swiss major FMCG Nestlé faced flak over the nutritional value of its products, its Indian unit has announced a major outreach campaign to reassure and retain its customers.

In the print advertisement released on Sunday, the company asked consumers to share their concerns. The ad displays the entire portfolio of Nestlé India products emphasising the fact that the products are made with “over a 100 years of trust.”

The multinational company said that it is releasing a series of print advertisements over the next few days, “to reassure consumers that it genuinely cares about what matters to them, what concerns them, and that we are there for them 24×7 if they have any questions or suggestions.” The ads also include contact details which consumers can use to reach out to the company.

The global food major came under fire last week, after Financial Times reported, that an internal document of the company has described a large portion of its food and drinks as ‘unhealthy. According to the report, more than 60 percent of Nestlé’s mainstream food and drinks portfolio did not meet the recognised definition of health. This excludes products like pet food, baby food, and specialised medical nutrition.

“Recent reports have questioned the healthfulness of Nestlé products, because of a global internal working document that was reported out of context. The portfolio analysis only covers about half the global sales, since several prominent categories were not included,” said a spokesperson for Nestlé India, as quoted by The Hindu.

According to the company, the portfolio analysis only covers about half the global sales, since several prominent categories were not included. “In fact, looking at the global portfolio as a whole, less than 30 per cent would not meet stringent external “healthfulness” standards, mostly representing indulgent products, which are acceptable in moderation as part of a healthy, balanced and enjoyable diet,” the spokesperson added.

The parent company of household names like Maggi, Milkmaid, Kitkat, Nescafé said its approach as “a credible, trustworthy and responsible company is to always communicate with consumers on facts, in a humble and transparent tone and manner.

In its defence, Nestlé had also said that efforts were ongoing over decades to improve the nutritional footprint of its products, adding that it has reduced sugar and sodium in the last two decades, about 14-15 per cent in the past seven years alone.

As far as Nestle India’s portfolio is concerned, it is somewhat different from its parent company with only nine out of Nestle’s 35 billionaire brands having a presence in India.

This is not the first time that Nestle has found itself in such controversy. Its instant noodles Maggi came under scrutiny after samples were reported to have higher than permissible levels of monosodium glutamate. Following legal challenges, negative consumer sentiment, it had to launch a fresh set of products.

Anil Kapoor & Arjun Kapoor team up for Licious’ new campaign

Mumbai: Online meat delivery startup Licious has launched a new campaign highlighting all the fuss that meat and sea-food lovers indulge in while choosing what to eat. The brand which specialises in meat and seafood has roped in the winsome combo of Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor for the campaign.

Created by advertising agency Tilt, the two films feature the uncle-nephew bonding over cooking while sharing their favourite meat-based dishes. The commercials highlight the convenience, safety and hygiene of meat being offered by the company, which operates on a farm-to-fork model. It entices users to download the brand’s app to partake in a fresh-from-the-sea fish and tender meat experience.

The natural camaraderie between the actors, coupled with their distinct signature styles and dialogues makes for an interesting watch, while delivering the brand message across effortlessly. The first film portrays the senior Kapoor trying his hand at cooking, frying fish to the tune of some of his memorable songs, while the second film has his nephew donning the chef’s hat.

Licious’ chief business officer Meghna Apparao said, “We pride ourselves in our ability to devise and improve on our stringent quality control measures, animal rearing and handling best practices, so that our consumers get nothing but the best – every single time. Sharing his take on the campaign, actor Anil Kapoor said, “I had such a great time working on the films! Good food and great culinary experiences – I could not really ask for a more enjoyable way of spending my time. And just like with food, this experience was made even better in Arjun’s company, so it was a win-win situation for me! I am super impressed with all the good work that Licious is doing in disrupting the meat & seafood ecosystem of the country. It is truly heartening to see the impact of their transformative work and I’m happy to be a part of their story.”

Arjun Kapoor added, “I am delighted to be associated with the brand Licious. The high-octane, positive energy is palpable on the set. I had a great time collaborating with Anil chachu and I hope people will enjoy the ad film as much as we did shooting for the same.”

The campaign, which went live on Thursday, will be promoted across television, digital and social media platforms.

The pandemic-led disruption last year gave a boost to online meat buying, prompting the Bengaluru-based startup to go beyond metros and also start operations in smaller cities this year, including Jaipur, Coimbatore, Kochi, Puducherry, Vizag and Vijayawada among other cities.
