    MUMBAI: Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu (MEK), the landmark game show on the Telugu Television screen, is all set to enthrall the audience once again.

     

    The game show that was watched by over 4 Crore Telugu TV audience with highest ratings will begin on 8th December on number one Telugu TV channel Maa TV and will be telecast at 9.30 PM from Monday to Friday, five days a week.

     

    The unprecedented emotional connect brought by Nagarjuna Akkineni, and his empathy and towering presence as the host made Maa TV to bring back the game show within 4 months of the last series. This is unheard of in the Indian TV space for this most popular game show format.

     

    MEK has the distinction of bringing back the family and community viewing of television, the characteristic feature of 1980’s.  In the remote control dominating space of entertainment, MEK is a clean entertainer providing wholesome entertainment and caters to all emotions that television audience seek in any programme.

     

    Maa TV has conducted rigorous process of selection to shortlist the participants eligible to come to the hot seat out of the 34.50 lakh SMS & IVRS responses received through Call for Entry (CFE) that was conducted for 10 days from 9th to 18th October. The prize money that each hot seat contestant can win is up to Rs. 1 Crore.

     

    The systematic randomization process was conducted Sundram BPO under the overall process supervision of the international audit firm Ernst & Young (EY).

    MUMBAI: The biggest knowledge-based game show Meelo Evaru koteeswarudu (MEK) announced by MAA TV, the No.1 Telugu GEC, has received excellent response from the Telugu TV audiences.

     

    For the Call for Entry (CFE) conducted between 24th April to May 1st to select the contestants, more than 1 million viewers sent SMSs, expressing their interest to participate in the game show

     

    Of the 1 million plus responses, about 1500 were short-listed through randomization process by a 3rd party agency with a fool-proof process audit by E&Y audit firm.

     

    With auditions in Vijayawada, Tirupathi and Hyderabad, about 100 participants were selected to play the game with Nagarjuna

     

    Nagarjuna is hosting a show on a TV for the 1st time

     

    In the 6 episodes that were shot so far, 9 contestants took the hot seat and a few of them are truly heart touching stories.

     

    The telecast of the game show will commence on 9th June (Monday). It will be at 9.00 PM to 10.30 PM from Monday to Thursday (4 days a week)

     

    Every contestant’s back-end story has been recorded and addressed in the show..  It will be a life changer for most of the contestants who make it to the hot seat.

     

    The prize money is from Rs. 1,000  to Rs. 1 Crore and the rules are the same like the KBC.  Those who answer all the 15 questions correctly will get Rs. 1 Crore prize

     

    The International Format tasted success worldwide in more than 150 countries, and 7 languages in India including Hindi

    MUMBAI: The Call for Entry (CFE) that commenced on 24th April for registering to participate in Maa TV’s big time game show Meelo Evaru koteeswarudu (MEK) will close at 7.00 PM on 1st May.

    As part of the CFE process, Maa TV has been releasing one question every day at 8.00 PM on maa main channel and mek.maatv.com since 24th April. People eager to come to the hot seat and play the game MEK with Nagarjuna have the option of sending their answers by SMS to 57337 or by IVRS to 1255573 (for BSNL users) and 5057337 01/02/03/04 (for other operators) before 7.00 PM on the following day.

    While the response for the five questions that have been released till 28th April has been very good, 6th question will be flashed at 8.00 PM on 29th April on maa TV with an opportunity to send answers till 7.00 PM on 30th April. The last question will be flashed at 8.00 PM on 30th April on maa TV with an opportunity to send answers till 7.00 PM on 1st May.

    With this, the registration to participate in the grand show will close at 7 PM on 1st May. Answering a question flashed on any of the seven days will give a chance to come to the hot seat and play the game MEK, and win the cash prize of Rs. 1 Crore.

    An elaborate selection process under close supervision of the international audit firm Ernst & Young (E&Y) will determine who will eventually become eligible to participate in the game show that is being hosted by popular film star Akkineni Nagarjuna and produced by Big Synergy.
