    Ganguly delivers DTDC value

MUMBAI: DTDC Express has launched its new integrated brand campaign featuring its brand ambassador, former skipper of the Indian cricket team Sourav Ganguly.

The new brand campaign with Sourav Ganguly at its helm brings out the credentials of DTDC’s vast network, its extensive service offerings with a commitment to go that extra mile to ensure that every customer’s parcel reaches its desired destination on time with utmost safety & security. Therefore, DTDC is not just in the business of ‘Delivering value’ but a business that ‘Goes Beyond the Parcel’.

India is a progressive nation with several untapped aspirations & dreams. Through prime minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Make in India’, logistics is acting as the central force of connecting people to help realize their aspirations & dreams like never before.

Highlighting DTDC’s philosophy behind its positioning, DTDC Express Limited executive director  Abhishek Chakraborty said, “Every parcel brings with it, a bagful of emotions for the customer in the form of anticipation, excitement, love, relief or aspiration. And for our business partners it often serves as a medium to realize their pride & ambition. DTDC is not merely in the business of transferring things efficiently from point A to point B. By delivering all these and more to the remotest of corners in the country at affordable rates, we are helping realizing aspirations, beyond any boundaries!”

He further goes on to add, “DTDC is a brand that is built on a ‘Humane Ethos’ that resonates directly with its vast network of more than 10,500 Franchisees spread across 11,000 pin codes across India and 20 countries worldwide. DTDC’s Technology driven innovations have further propelled greater customer satisfaction by providing End-to-End Solutions starting from E-Fulfilment to digitised last mile delivery. At DTDC, we define progress by consistent endeavors of raising our standards of operational quality to achieve service excellence through Hi-End automation. This enables DTDC to bring about a transformation in the way it delivers parcels across its network”.

Therefore, DTDC builds a strong resonance through Technology with a Human Connect to serve its customers across categories like B2B, B2C & C2C. Publicis has developed & designed this brilliantly beautiful concept around ‘Going beyond the Parcel’.

Publicis South Asia MD CCO Bobby Pawar explains, “When Jigar, Srijan and team started work on the brief, we looked for the true meaning of the box. We realised it’s not just a container, but a carrier. Sometimes, it carries the joy of an unexpected surprise. Other times the sigh of relief when what needed reaches on time. Or at times a quiet smile that blossoms from receiving a thoughtful gift. Or the triumphs of getting an order reach on schedule. This is what the campaign is based on.’

This Brand Campaign consists of a 90 seconds Film and a series of shorter edits directed by Luv Kalla & his team from Bubblewrap Entertainment. The film has effortlessly brought out a massive canvas that brings out the scale and the extent of DTDC’s operational landscape. The director has effectively managed to bring out the warmth by capturing feelings & emotions of people from different regions across the country that would include small towns in the interiors of India coupled with bustling warehouses in the heart of urban India. The lyrics of this film have been crafted by Srijan Shukla and the soundtrack has been composed by Rajiv Bhalla.

The new brand campaign has been rolled out in the form of a TVC, which is also being played at Cinema Multiplexes & Outdoor advertising nationally. This film is also being digitally amplified via DTDC’s official social media channels like Facebook & YouTube.

  • Colors campaign inspires men to take over Sunday chores

Colors campaign inspires men to take over Sunday chores

MUMBAI: Colors has launched a new movement called #SundayIsHerHoliday. The campaign — one Sunday at a time — is inviting every man (and woman) to participate. The goal of the campaign is to inspire and help men take over the Sunday chores of women, so she can get her much needed time off.

The next step aims at enabling action by offering tips to men and handholding them through some Sunday chores. The final step will be celebration by showcasing what actually happens when women get 24 hours from their own time, every week, off.

“You might ask why Colors is doing this? We believe that entertainment should, where it can, nudge society forward, in big ways or small. This campaign is an embodiment of that belief. Gender equality is a man’s issue too, and as COLORS, we have always believed in doing our bit in bringing about change in mindsets,” said Viacom18 Hindi Mass Entertainment CEO Raj Nayak.

While he believes that the network giant can do its bit in giving a little nudge to our men-folk to lend a hand and make a difference, Publicis South Asia CCO Bobby Pawar believes that #SundayIsHerHoliday is an honest attempt at giving women her due. He added, “The insight was simple. All women are working women. Most of them just end up working twice as much, at the office and at home. The realisation that it was unfair that they, unlike most other working people, don’t get a day off, struck us and gave birth to #SundayIsHerHoliday. As Publicis I can say that we are proud to have Raj,COLORSand the entire Viacom18 network on our side to ensure that the message reaches out to a large audience which brings about a genuine difference.”

A growing number of men are taking on the responsibility of caring for children and taking up household chores as their partner works. But a lot still needs to be done in breaking down traditional gender stereotypes.

Creative team: Roshni Kavina, Srijan Shukla, Siddharth Joglekar, Abhishek Sawant, Ajinkya Bane.

  • RummyCircle launches TVC for online gamers

RummyCircle launches TVC for online gamers

MUMBAI: The wholly owned division of Play Games24x7, RummyCircle, has launched a new TVC encapsulating the thrill and excitement of playing the game of rummy online.

The latest commercial is an immersive take on the action-packed nature of the game capturing the raw pleasure of competing and winning. Loaded with swag, special effects, it engages the viewer with high energy and unexpected turns.

“Rummy is known to be a mind game and a family game, but most people don’t realize how exciting and charged a game of Rummy can be. That feeling is what we want the viewers to take away from this new TVC,” a company statement quoted Play Games24x7 co-founder and co-CEO Trivikraman Thampy saying.

The TVC is made in five languages of English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.

Conceptualized by Publicis India, the TVC has Bobby Pawar as its chief creative officer and managing director, while the executive creative directors are Shyamashree D’Mello and Sanjay Sakharkar. The campaign, directed by Kunal Shivdasani, is produced by Virtual Reality Films. The post production has been done by Red Chillies.

According to Thampy, “The best part about playing Rummy are those edge-of-the-seat moments when a player is almost done and is waiting with baited breath for the next card to be that one card he or she needs, and also desperately hoping that someone doesn’t finish before him or her. We wanted this TVC to capture that adrenaline rush and thrill in a symbolic way by comparing it to the kind of excitement one would feel if they were flying through the air with turbocharged booster jetpacks.”

The protagonist in the campaign is an everyday, loveable character who demonstrates unbelievable daredevilry every time he plays on RummyCircle.com, D’Mello explained, adding that the audience will enjoy watching him revel in the heart-thumping, adrenaline-pumping feeling of winning at the end.

The website offers 13 card rummy game on all devices with the most engaging interface and latest security features.

  • Publicis takes comic tack for Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh MakeMyTrip app TVC

Publicis takes comic tack for Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh MakeMyTrip app TVC

MUMBAI: A few days back a couple of pictures were leaked on social media about two ads for MakeMyTrip starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The ads#BefikarBookKar – Taxi and #BefikarBookKar – Hotel are finally out. The attempt: to extoll the virtues of the new MakeMyTrip app and encourage travelers to download and use it to book a hotel room. Created by the Publicis Groupe, the ads also unveiled a fresh new look of the Indian travel company. Another TVC is slated to be unveiled in a month.

Produced by Amit Sharma from Chrome Pictures and shot in Mumbai, the TVCs have been created with pop-culture in mind and made in a cinematic way. The attempt has been to adopt ‘consumer behaviour’ (of what the people do in reality) in the TV spots , and spread the message in an entertaining and memorable way.

The first TVC features Alia donning a taxi driver’s avatar and Ranveer Singh as a Bengali nerd. Ranveer plays a traveler exiting a railway station and asks a taxi driver (played by Alia) for a hotel nearby. She names a few, and he asks her if there are any other ones she knows. Alia tells him to cough up Rs 500 and then passes him her phone with the Makemytrip app open for him to browse for all the hotels in the area. Ranveer surfs the app, and Alia asks him to return her phone. He cheekily demands his currency note back in exchange for the phone, clearly outsmarting her. The background by Abhishekh Arora, combined with Ranveer’s innocence and Alia’s bindaas witty approach make the TV spot quite endearing.

In the second commercial, Alia is seen in a totally different getup as a sophisticated hotel receptionist while Ranveer plays a cool flamboyantly dressed not-so cool customer. He asks Alia for a discount which she refuses. Not satisfied with her reply, Ranveer starts negotiating with her and tries to impress her. Another client enters. The receptionist directly gives a 40 per cent discount to the new guest. Shocked, Singh asks for the reason for the difference in the discount rate. The receptionist quirkily replies “aapko ek hi discount, inko make my trip discount”. The TVC cleverly depicts how the Makemytrip application provides its services at an extremely reasonably price with great discounts for its users.

“Indians normally prefer offline hotel bookings. They reach the place and then start looking for accommodation. Many think that in this way this they can negotiate a reasonable price with the hotel. But the fact is that the MakeMyTrip application gives better deals within one’s budget which does not need any negotiation and is easy,” says Publicis Worldwide-South Asia managing director & chief creative officer Bobby Pawar.

Both the TV spots shot in Hindi have been dubbed in regional languages like Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

With a 360 degree approach, the campaign is being heavily promoted on TV on GECs and news channels radio, social media and other digital platforms. The decibel levels for the ad are going to rise during the IPL.

“I will be happy to see people booking tickets as well as hotels through the MakeMyTrip app. About our ad, as long as people talk about it and love it, we will be happy. We will see where this ad takes us economically”, concludes Pawar.
