    Mumbai: Blink Digital, a full-service independent digital advertising agency, is thrilled to announce the world premiere of its co-produced film, ‘Girls Will Be Girls,’ at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival 2024, to be held from 18 to 28 January 2024. The film, written and directed by debutant Shuchi Talati, has been selected to participate in the highly anticipated World Cinema Dramatic Competition.

    The film, ‘Girls Will Be Girls’ unfolds within the walls of a boarding school nestled in a small Himalayan hill town in northern India. The narrative revolves around Mira, a 16-year-old girl, whose journey of self-discovery and rebellion is intertwined with her mother’s own unfulfilled coming-of-age experience.

    Acclaimed Malayalam actor Kani Kusruti is playing one of the leads and the film also marks the debut of emerging actors Preeti Panigrahi and Kesav Binoy Kiron who also have lead roles.

The project clinched two awards at the event – the VFF Talent Highlight Award, with a prize fund of €10,000 ($10,765), and the €6,000 ARTEKino International Award, presented by ARTE to recognise outstanding artistic merit from the Berlinale Co Production Market.

    Double the fun & double the chicken with KFC India’s new prank video

    Mumbai: Some things in life can’t be understood, they just need to be loved. Like KFC India’s recently introduced all chicken, no bun Double Down Burger. This is what a chicken lover’s dreams are made of!

    With a creative spin on the concept of ‘Doubles’, KFC’s latest prank video ropes in two identical twins to stage a prank that is sure to make you ROFL.

    In the first half, ‘Double Trouble in the que’, the twins play the role of two customers who are waiting for their food. As soon as one’s order is delivered, she takes the tray and leaves, but the other twin comes in from behind and asks about her order, leaving people around her confused.

    In the second half, ‘Double encounter at the counter’, both twins take on individual roles behind the counter, with one twin taking the order and the other serving the customer their order. Fans are unable to decode this level of multitasking and wonder how the same person is doing everything at once!

    Both these instances end with a simple message, some things in life are meant to be enjoyed not understood just like the KFC Double Down Burger.

    The campaign, written by Sudhir Shetty and directed by Very Busy People, aims to position Fibe as an alternative to the notion that obtaining a loan is difficult and time-consuming. Fibe has been positioned as a helpful credit provider that offers loans tailored to everyone’s needs without a complicated application process or many questions about how to use the loan.

    The agency will assist the brand in staying ahead of the curve regarding social media engagement. Their new campaign idea for Fibe gives a fresh outlook on consumer lending in the financial landscape.     Amazon partners with Blink Digital for India’s first immersive game

    Mumbai: Blink Digital on Saturday has collaborated with Amazon India for Prime Day to launch its one-of-a-kind interactive game within a pre-roll drive for its audience. The campaign will roll out on YouTube, which aims to allow users to hover within a 360-degree-video during the ad with the theme “Smartphone Hunt.”

    Blink Digital conceptualised the pre-roll advertising campaign for Amazon’s Safari-themed Prime day this season.

    The brand wanted to engage with its audience to evoke them to spot Amazon specials smartphones and share them on Twitter using #AmazonSpecialsonPrimeDay, which will encourage users to engage on the brand’s Twitter handle.  Additionally, this preroll will help the brand increase its engagement on ads as the interactive game will encourage the audience to watch the complete video and interact with the brand on social media to stand a chance to win Amazon Vouchers.

    This campaign is seamlessly going to bridge the gap between paid and organic media on social media platforms to raise awareness of Amazon Prime Day smartphone offers. The pre-roll is live and will be played till the 24th of July.

    Mumbai: Independent digital agency Blink Digital has announced the appointment of two vice presidents Dia Kirpalani and Suraj Karvi, both practicing advertising professionals of over fifteen years.  

    “As we chase bigger ambitions, it is key to ensure the growth of the company along with the best set of talents in-house to keep pace with the evolving industry. Their appointment is another validation of our commitment and leadership in the industry,” said Blink Digital co-founder and chief business officer Rikki Aggarwal, welcoming new appointees on board.

    Kirpalani brings experience across finance, market research and advertising, having previously been associated with agencies like WPP, Leo Burnett, Rediffusion. She has worked across myriad industries including FMCG, retail, e-commerce, fashion, skincare, personal health, beauty, real estate, gaming, and financial services, including mutual funds, banking and insurance, across brands like Shoppers Stop, HSBC Bank, Sugarfree, and more. 

    At Blink, she will oversee the creative strategy vertical for the agency’s current and new clients. “My clear mandate is to bridge the gap between mainline and digital thinking that continues to exist in our industry and to ensure our clients get the benefit of a truly silo-less approach to their business problems. Under Dooj and Rikki’s setup, we have a strategy team that is underpinned by mainline thinking and yet strongly supplemented with digital expertise,” said Kirpalani on her new role.

    Karvi was until recently heading the media business for Marico & Atomberg technologies at Madison Media. Prior to Madison Karvi worked with GroupM & Starcom and has experience across industries like FMCG, OTT, Jewellery, Watches, Pharma, Lifestyle Retail, etc. He has also worked in the area of business strategy, planning and sales strategy during his stint with Viacom18 & NDTVMedia. 

    At Blink Digital, he will be leading the media vertical & be responsible for the current media businesses as well as acquiring new business. “Digital has been the key area of growth within the media marketing world and will continue to be so by creating further excitement & opportunities for brands & industry as a whole.     Mumbai: Blink Digital has announced new hires to strengthen its team further. Shweta Bhalla has joined as media director and Dazy Verma is named as strategy director at the digital agency.

    Bhalla holds a professional experience of eight years overall where she did multiple roles from researcher to media planning. At Blink Digital, she will be overseeing media planning and strategy. Previously, she has worked with Mindshare as director – strategy and has worked for clients across auto, FMCG, retail industries. “The company already holds a great position in the digital marketing space. I will contribute my best to keep that intact. I am looking forward to driving media solutions while guaranteeing we are at our efficient best,” said Bhalla.

    Verma has previously worked with Mullen Lintas as a planning director and her core expertise lies in brand strategy, media planning, and branded content. With a decade of experience in working with auto, e-commerce, FMCG, nutrition and wellness, lifestyle and luxury industries, Verma will look after the strategic planning function as well as the content practice at Blink Digital. “My focus will be to build powerful brand narratives that transform the creative work that we do across digital channels and touchpoints. I am looking forward to this journey toward nurturing our old brand partnerships and building new ones,” Verma said.
