    Mumbai: Bigg Boss Tamil season 8 has kicked off with a five hour grand launch on 6 October. This season has introduced Vijay Sethupathi as the new host, generating massive excitement among fans.

    This season features a format with a larger house and intriguing new twists, including the  ‘Men vs Women’ theme. From the very first episode, the competition has captured the audience’s attention. Sethupathi has quickly made his mark, skillfully addressing conflicts and challenging contestants during weekend episodes, which has resonated well with viewers throughout Tamil Nadu.

    The launch episode recorded impressive viewership ratings, achieving a nine TVR across Tamil Nadu and an outstanding 13 TVR in Chennai. These figures underscore the show’s strong following and the effective promotional efforts leading up to the premiere. Engagement has been robust across both television and digital platforms, amplifying its reach and impact.

    In just the first week, the show reached over 32 million viewers on TV, with 4.4 billion minutes of total watch time across television, digital, and Hotstar. Social media buzz was more than 162 million views, indicating the show’s popularity and the audience’s eagerness to engage with the content.

    The show airs daily at 9:30 PM on Star Vijay, with 24×7 live streaming available on Disney+ Hotstar.

    Mumbai: The much anticipated Bigg Boss Tamil season eight premiered on 6 October 2024, featuring 14 sponsors across various categories. Presented by Nandu White Dhothis and powered by KAG Tiles and A23 Rummy, the season is also co-presented by Cadbury 5 Star, with support from associate sponsors like Kaleesuwari, Haier, and Cera Sanitaryware.

    The show continues to offer brands a prime platform to reach a wide audience. Vijay Sethupathi’s debut as the new host has generated excitement, with the teaser promo gaining over 10 million views in 24 hours.

    Mumbai: Bigg Boss Telugu Season-7, telecast on Star Maa and streamed on Disney+ Hotstar achieved ground-breaking success in its latest season. Owned and produced by EndemolShine India (part of Banijay), the format exceeded all earlier viewership ratings and market-share in the Telugu speaking markets. Hosted by the Superstar Nagarjuna, the season’s finale in Hyderabad (SD+HD) had a remarkable 21.7 rating with a staggering 78% market share, the highest for any season. Across the overall Telugu-speaking market, the show reached the finale rating of 19.3 (HD+SD).

    Mumbai: Disney+ Hotstar is set to launch the OTT exclusive season of “Bigg Boss Tamil” from 30 January.

    Actor Kamal Haasan who has hosted five seasons of “Bigg Boss” on TV will be seen hosting “Bigg Boss Ultimate” on the platform. The OTT season will reunite some of the most popular and celebrated contestants of past seasons, giving them a second chance to claim the coveted title. “The first OTT version of Big Boss Ultimate is on Disney+ Hotstar,” said Kamal Haasan. “I’m extremely excited to continue staying in touch with you by hosting the OTT version as well. The new format is now available 24/7 to engage and entertain you more. I am 100 per cent confident that you will find this whole new experience refreshing and interesting.”

    The makers of the show have made innovative changes to the format to keep audiences engaged throughout the season. “One of the innovations is the 24hr feed, which will allow fans to watch what’s happening in the “Bigg Boss” house throughout the day,” said the platform.

    KERALA: BB Jodigal, a dance reality show featuring former Bigg Boss contestants, is set to premiere on Star Vijay this May, the channel revealed in a press statement.

    The ultimate aim of this dance reality show is to identify the best Bigg Boss dancing pair. The makers also claimed that BB Jodigal will be the most entertaining, stupendous dance battle ever. 

    BB Jodigal will feature popular contestants from all previous Bigg Boss Tamil seasons. Celebrities from different seasons will pair together as jodis, and they will showcase their dancing skills in this show. Prior to the premiere on 2 May, Star Vijay has uploaded promo videos on its social media pages. 

    “Popular personalities from all four seasons of Bigg Boss will pair up to fight against each other through various rounds of dance and drama to win the title and cash prize. Every week the dance jodis will have to go through various rounds of dance battle given on certain topics and themes,” the channel said.

    Star Vijay has roped in actress Remya Krishnan and actor-singer Nakhul Jaidev as the judges for this show. The contestants will be scored by the judges based on the drama and emotion they bring out through their dance performance. Just like Bigg Boss, a weekly elimination process will be part of the programme’s format
