    MUMBAI: The wait is finally over for the fans of Bhuvan Bam and Ashish Chanchlani, as the special Holi film starring India’s top YouTubers #VMateAsliHolibaaz has been released on trending short video platform VMate. In the run to the release, the first look and the trailer of the film had garnered massive response on various social media platforms. The prospect of watching the two YouTube sensations act together for the first time added to the excitement of the fans.

    The film depicts the tryst of Bhuvan and Ashish in their bid to emerge as the ‘Asli Holibaaz’. The fun dose has been doubled with Ashish essaying a double. Last week, the first look of the film was widely shared on social media platforms and a photograph featuring the two YouTubers had also gone viral on the internet, triggering curiosity for the Holi film. And now, the fun-packed trailer just raises the inquisitiveness of the fans further as they wait with baited breath to see who clinched the title – Ashish or Bhuvan.

    Enthusiasm of fans soared ahead of the trailer release and they took to different social media platforms to express their excitement. While some fans equated the two YouTubers with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his American counterpart Donald Trump, a few mentioned that there could not be a better Holi gift in store.     Speaking about their experience to work in the #VMateAsliHolibaaz film, both Ashish and Bhuvan had mentioned that they came together for the project as it allowed them to stay in their own ‘character and zone’. While Bhuvan said that he was “more than happy and excited” to work with Ashish, the latter had referred to the fellow YouTuber as “the best friend in the community”. “When VMate came to us, we both mutually agreed on one condition that we would be ourselves,” Ashish had further said.

    MUMBAI: Influencer marketing is the latest trend in promoting a brand. The marketing being cost-effective and less expensive, a video platform VMate has roped in YouTubers, Bhuvan Bam and Ashish Chanchlani, for a short campaign movie — #VMateAsliHolibaaz, produced by the company itself.

    This is the first time that the two Youtubers, termed as rivals/competitors, will be seen together in one campaign film.

    “The Youtubers’ only condition was that they wanted to be in their ‘own character and zone’ and wanted to remain themselves in the video,” said a VMate’s press statement.

    Bhuvan Bam, who tops all lists of YouTubers in India, feels that VMate is a new platform that would be loved by all. Asked about the collaboration with VMate, he mentioned that his mother is also fond of the trending in short-video platforms.

    Ashish Chanchlani, known for his slapstick comedy, added: “When VMate came to us, we both mutually agreed. We had just one condition that we will be ourselves. I am happy with the way things have shaped up.”

    The YouTubers also dismissed all speculations of rivalry, referring to each other as the “closest friend in the community”.

    It isn’t the first time that artists like Bhuvan Bam and Ashish Chanchlani have forayed into the world of short-video platforms. While the former has appeared on TikTok, the latter has earlier integrated some of VMate’s previous campaigns, such as New Year and #HappyValentinesDay challenge.

    The emergence of short-video platforms has provided an unprecedented opportunity to several artists, who earlier thrived solely on the popularity of YouTube.     Following the popularity of the photograph, VMate has now released the first look of the Holi short film starring Bhuvan Bam and Ashish Chanchlani. Titled ‘Kaun Hai VMateAsliHolibaaz’, the poster depicts the duo in rival mode. Though the actors look set to compete with each other, their mere appearance in the film suggests that it will be a laugh riot for the fans. The poster further depicts a festive Holi mood as it’s full of colours.

    MUMBAI: Eyewear retailer Lenskart has signed YouTube star Bhuvan Bam as its new brand ambassador. The decision was taken keeping in mind that Bhuvan’s digital content appeals to the youth and aligns with their brand image.

    As unveiled by Lenskart, Bam will be part of multiple campaigns and will also be producing exclusive content for them. He also recently launched the new store for Lenskart in Ambience Mall, Gurugram.
