    Mumbai: Bhojpuri GEC ZEE Ganga added a new milestone in its journey by achieving 125 per cent slot growth, alongside 39 per cent in TSV and 41  per cent in reach (BARC, B&J, CS2+, AMA000’s, Mon to Fri, 1900-2100hrs, Wk ’14-25′ 22), in its original content prime-time viewership this year. 

    The rare yet amazing feat is now the channel’s crowning glory, as it moves ahead with renewed vigor to continue its success story.

    Driven by their culturally rooted motto of ‘Har Pal Aviral’ ZEE Ganga has striven to form a deep connection with its audience and provide world class original Bhojpuri content to them.     Bringing to fore another social issue is the show Kanya Pradhan (8:00 p.m), a socio-cultural family drama. It’s an inspirational story of Aarti deciding to take matters in her own hands and smash the patriarchy on her path to discovering her true individuality, empowering herself and governing the village that she’s the Gram Panchayat of. 

    The prime-time entertainment ends with Bandhan Tute Na (8:30 pm), a family drama with a supernatural twist. It presents the rivalries and luxurious life of the zamindars with some paranormal elements, making the viewers cheer for the heroine and hope that she prevails at the end.     Manoranjan Group to launch Bhojpuri TV channel Manoranjan Prime

    Mumbai: Manoranjan Group has announced a new Bhojpuri TV channel Manoranjan Prime scheduled for the launch in March. The channel will cater to audiences in Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh, the media company said.

    Manoranjan Prime is a general entertainment channel that will showcase Bhojpuri films, TV shows and music. The channel will also telecast feature content from digital creators including YouTubers and social media influencers. The channel will provide an amalgamation of television and digital content for its viewers.

    The channel will be available on DD Free Dish and across all major multi-system operators (MSO) including cable operators and direct-to-home operators.

    “The Manoranjan Group is targeting the Bhojpuri speaking belt because of its rising potential,” said the statement. The group operates several channels such as Hindi movie channel Manoranjan TV, Punjabi movie channel Manoranjan Movies and Hindi GEC Manoranjan Grand over the years.

    “We are driving the next phase of expansion plans of the group in FM Radio/digital media and e-commerce,” said Manoranjan Group president Sahib Chopra. “Our vision is to make the organization a 360-degree media house with various verticals of Media and Entertainment in the next few years.The media landscape in India continues to expand rapidly and we are determined to leverage our current momentum in every way.”

    Creative Channel Advertising & Marketing was started in 1980 under the leadership of Babar Chopra. The company’s aim was to provide good content to their viewers which led to the beginning of Manoranjan Group and since then it has successfully stood out amidst its competitors.

    Mumbai: Soon after the announcement of season 10 for its non-scripted reality show – “Memsaab No 1,” Zee Ganga has unveiled the names of the show’s esteemed judges. The channel has roped in superstar Pakkhi Hegde and celebrated cine-drama queen Rinku Ghosh as the judges for the season who will guide contestants in every step over 13 weeks while sharing their experiences with them. 

    The channel will also introduce Chamki Bhauji who will enter the villa on various occasions and give a pep talk to the contestants, test their patience and challenge them at every step for 13 weeks and help them hone their skills in their bid to take home the most-coveted title of being of Sarv Gunn Sampann Babuni. Hosted by none other than the audience’s favorite, Chintu Pandey, the show is all set to premiere on Zee Ganga from January 17 every Monday-Friday at 6 p.m.

    “Memsaab No 1” will host 16 talented female contestants who will share their abode for 13 weeks at Ganga Villa. The contestants will be judged through several tasks and how they conduct themselves in different situations over 13 weeks. The contestants will be judged by the jury members Pakkhi Hegde and Rinku Ghosh, who in addition to delivering blockbuster hits in Bhojpuri, have also performed in Bollywood films. It will be interesting to see these renowned names from the world of Bhojpuri entertainment judge the behind-the-scenes power dynamics and relationships between contestants at every step, in the villa, as they compete to become the Sarv Gunn Sampann Babuni.

    With exciting tasks and competitions, the show also promises to host a special competition Thumka Lagaoo, where contestants will bring some fun with their dance performances. Scheduled for every Thursday, the special segment will welcome celebrity guests from the Bhojpuri fraternity, who will accompany judges to encourage the contestants. These include the ravishing actress Rani Chatterjee, the charming Nissar Khan and the beautiful Kajal Raghwani amongst the celebrity guests who will be a part of this show and join the team of “Memsaab No 1” in special episodes.

    The movie features actors Manan Tiwari, Kalpana Shah and Nisha Singh in the lead roles.

    The story revolves around Sagar and his lady love Ganga with whom he can’t get married because Sagar’s birth was a blessing from Baba Bhairavnath on the condition that he will die the day he gets married. Sagar also happens to be the rebirth of a Naag killed by Baba Bhairavnath in his quest for capturing the Naagin which Bhairavnath later failed to. Ganga happens to be a devotee of the same Naagin. The story involves a lot of dramatic sequences as the truth unfolds in the end. The movie is part of this month’s theme of divine intervention and symbolism around the festival of Saawan.

    Bhojpuri channel Anjan TV hops on to Videocon d2h platform

    MUMBAI: Bhojpuri entertainment channel Anjan TV is looking at increasing its viewership and as part of this has signed a deal with direct to home (DTH) operator Videocon d2h.

     

    The channel will be available on channel number 861 on the platform. Anjan TV is also available on Airtel Digital TV and all the multi system operator (MSO) platforms in Bihar and Jharkhand. 

     

    With this, the channel will be available to 12.8 million households across India as a free-to-air channel. The channel is currently in talks with other DTH operators such as Tata Sky, Reliance DTH, etc.

     

    Carving a niche for itself, the channel offers a programming mix of movies, music, daily soaps, reality, crime, cookery, comedy, travel and lifestyle shows.
