    NEW DELHI: Beetel and its accessory brand FLiX have roped in Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin as brand ambassador. Ashwin will endorse the company’s products and services through advertising campaigns and several other promotional programmes.

    FLiX business head Puneet Gupta said he is very much excited to join hands with one of the finest bowlers in the world, adding that Ashwin's inclusion in marketing campaigns could help to target the masses in India. 

    "R Ashwin is a popular Indian icon. He is the new craze and a household name and hence is the apt choice to represent our brand and establish connect with our target group. With this association we aim to instil our presence in the Indian market as we pave way for aggressive expansion and growth plans for the brand. We also wish Ashwin the best of luck for the upcoming IPL season," shared Gupta. 

    Ashwin said, "I am thrilled to join the Beetel and FLiX Team. Personally, I have always been passionate about gadgets and emerging new tech trends. In sync with my interests and brands passion for technology, this collaboration will go a long way." 

    Beetel was founded in 1985, and is a pioneer in the landline phone category. Flix entered the Indian markets in September 2020 with a range of products that include TWS, audio, power, etc. The company outlined plans to rapidly expand its presence and penetration across India by introducing more than 40 products and can be found in over 5,000 retail outlets.

    MUMBAI: Music channel 9XM is all set to entertain viewers this cricket season with an array of initiatives and innovative programming. The channel has been airing special shows and initiatives to keep their viewers engrossed for the last few days.

     

    The cricket initiatives include the World cup special ‘Bade-Chote’ show called FullToss Bakwaas, This live action animation show features the characters Bade-Chote with stand-up comics playing different characters inspired by cricketers and some other unique characters often seen at matches.

     

    Commenting on the World Cup special, 9X Media Chief Programming Officer Amar Tidke said, “We at 9XM believe in providing our viewers with music that is well curated and humor that is current and topical. With the whole nation obsessed/fixated on Cricket, we wanted our viewers to have the Cricket experience, but with the 9XM flavor. Hence the channel will also flaunt packaging that is cricket centric and elements that represent the game. We have 9xm Toss-Up, where a coin toss decides the next song from the super-hit playlist and Full Toss Bakwaas our unique offering which integrates our popular characters with the game. We have also repackaged our popular countdown show Top 9 as the 9xm Top 11 World Cup special featuring cricketing themes and songs to match. Just like we love our movies, we love this game, and this is our bit to support our team India!”

     

    9XM will also air 9XM Jugaad with the animated characters Bade Chote, Bheegi Billi and Beetel Nuts featuring cricketing funnies and Chote Ki Kahani where Chote the master entertainer comes up with his selected short stories that promises a fun ride into the witty world of Bade – Chote.

     

    9XM will promote the Cricket World cup programming line-up through a series of initiatives on social media and other digital platforms.

  • Percept/H CEO Prabhakar Mundkur now also on the board of directors

    MUMBAI: Percept/H has appointed its chief executive officer Prabhakar Mundkur as a member of its board of directors.

    Percept/H is the flagship advertising agency of Percept Limited. It is a 50:50 joint venture between Percept (entertainment, media and communications group) and Hakuhodo Inc. (Japanese advertising agency). The agency‘s Key clientele includes- Hero Honda, DLF, Bharti, Beetel, MTNL and Canon.

    Mundkur could not be a member of the board earlier despite being the CEO because of some provisions of the joint venture agreement.

    Mundkur had joined Percept/H in January 2005 and was spearheading the agency‘s growth over the last eight years. He is credited for business wins like Canon, Toyota, Fedex, Ditto TV from Zee Digital, Sahara Force India F1 team.

    He will continue to lead the agency‘s initiatives on key national businesses such as Toyota, Hero, Canon, Fedex and Sahara while he continues to oversee the company from a board perspective and steer the organisation to the next level, the agency said in a statement.

    Mundkur has over two decades of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Percept/H, he had also worked with JWT, Euro RSCG and Everest Advertising.

  • Percept/H bags Jetking Infotrain’s creative biz

    MUMBAI: Percept/H has won the creative mandate of Jetking Infotrain following a multi-agency pitch.

    Confirming the development to Indiantelevision.com, Percept/H CEO Prabhakar Mundkur said, “Jetking is an old and much respected brand in IT education. They wanted somebody who understood their business and we will be restaging the brand for them.”
