  • Max reaps a harvest at Promax BDA Asia 2003

MUMBAI: When it comes to awards Max appears to be the channel to beat. At the Promax & BDA Asia Awards 2003 in Singapore last evening, Max bagged three Golds and one Silver. This takes the number of awards the channel has so far won this year to 14.
It won a Gold in the Best Out of House Station Image Promo: The Train Spot of the Deewana Bana De image campaign was recognised. The Cricket Nirvana spot won in the Holiday / Seasonal / Special Event Promo category. It also bagged a silver for the Bazaar spot.
An official release informs that the last two spots were a part of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003 build-up campaign on air. However it was not just cricket that was cited. Max was involved with the Rolling Stones concert earlier this year. The Something for Nothing Gold award went to the channel for creating a spot that was simple yet effective.
Speaking to Indiantelevision.com the channels executive VP and business head Rajat Jain said, ” It gives us immense satisfaction that both, our marketing and programming initiatives have received such complete acceptance from viewers and fulsome praise in the media marketplace. The awards are not simply cricket related. They are channel awards.
“Winning prestigious awards such as these yet again, has firmly established Max’s top-notch execution of innovative concepts in programming and marketing. With 14 awards and two honourable mentions in the last one year, we have raised the bar for channels in our genre, and have our own standards to better each time.”
The latest wins come on the heels of several Popular and Technical awards that Max won at the Indian Telly Awards 2003 conducted by this site.
“All these awards have been the result of excellent teamwork between our marketing and on-air promotions teams, along with our creative agency Euro RSCG and Prahlad Kakkar who executed some of the creatives brilliantly, We shall continue to strive for excellence in as entertaining and innovative a manner as possible” Jain added.
