Prime Video celebrates Father’s Day with a heartfelt campaign

Mumbai: Prime Video has launched a fun video to celebrate International Father’s Day. In a tongue-in-cheek manner, the film brings to life one of the most common habits of dads across India – falling asleep in front of the TV! Featuring celebrated singer Shaan, singing a melodious lullaby for fathers watching TV and struggling to keep their eyes open because of a long day, the film uses humour to encourage fathers to take a break, snooze and enjoy their favourite Prime Video shows another day!

In the film, Shaan through his magical lullaby reaches out to every type of dad, from the middle-aged, overworked father, the exhausted new, millennial dad, to the elderly grandfather, each one wanting to nap but not wanting to miss out on family time when watching Prime Video. Only the men can see and hear Shaan, and his soothing lullaby comprising of their favourite shows and characters from Prime Video, eventually leads to a tug of war between the need to sleep and the need to watch the next scene with family. But are the dads able to overcome their age-old habit of falling asleep in front of the TV or does nature finally take its course?

Prime Video releases its Mother’s Day campaign – ‘Prime Entertainer’

Mumbai: Amazon Prime Video, in partnership with Bare Bones Collective, has released a Mother’s Day campaign that will stream straight into our hearts. Written and conceptualized by Bare Bones Collective, the campaign gives a sweet salute to all the mothers who constantly acted as a source of entertainment to restless toddlers around the world.

Who was the very first stand-up comic of our life? Who was the first content creator we ‘subscribed’ to? It was none other than our beloved moms! The “Prime Entertainer” campaign celebrates the spirit of such mothers who worked non-stop to bring a smile to their tiny tot’s face.

The video showcases moms from all around effortlessly donning their entertainment hats; it’s like they just know. The adorable video portrays their innate ability to make us laugh, cheer and entertain. They instinctively know how to pull out all the stops, reminding us all of our childhood days! What makes the campaign unique is how it takes a simple idea to convey the thought about the multitude of responsibilities that mothers quietly shoulder. It’s a recognition long overdue amidst the myriad distractions life has offered us.

Sharing her thoughts on the campaign, Bare Bones Collective COO Swati Dua, said, “I’ve been a comic, a singer, a dancing monkey, I’m constantly looking for new ways to keep my son engaged. If you really think about it, mothers are the OG improv artists, and we are really grateful to Prime Video for allowing us to celebrate our first entertainer”

The campaign is live on Prime Video’s social media platforms, which include YouTube and Instagram and Facebook.

While every day is Mother’s Day, this occasion is the opportunity to be even more thankful for the magical beings called moms. Prime Video’s latest campaign serves as the perfect reminder to pamper the ones who love and entertain us all our lives.

  • “The Great Escape” by 1% Club ignites financial literacy movement

“The Great Escape” by 1% Club ignites financial literacy movement

Mumbai: Tired of feeling like memes are the only relatable things that understand the woes of your work life? Feeling like no one truly understands the constant battle between living life and working hard for money? Well, what if I told you that someone not only heard your complaints but also came up with a solution—a fun one?  The answer lies in the latest ad campaign from 1% Club! Written and conceptualized by Bare Bones Collective, the campaign features digital stars Finance with Sharan and Viraj Ghelani.

The brand film depicts the country’s working population. People are often stuck in jobs they dislike because financial obligations like EMIs and lifestyle expenses dictate their choices and, in a way, let money control them. They find themselves trapped in a vicious cycle, working for money that ultimately fails to liberate them, instead entangling them further due to their lack of financial knowledge. The only way out is to understand how money works. 1% Club’s “The Great Escape” sees Sharan and Viraj in a familiar corporate office filled with unfamiliar comic twists. The duo play harrowed colleagues who unlock the secret of an exclusive club. What is this club’? How do we get in? The campaign leaves us with many such interesting questions!

Co-founded by Sharan Hedge and Raghav Gupta, the ‘1% Club’ is an exclusive community that empowers people with The Money School- schools forgot to teach us about money so the 1% Club created the money school with the help of India’s top finfluencers to teach about early retirement planning, tax saving strategies, credit card hacks, stock market investment and everything else money. They also provide proprietary tools and conduct networking events to offer a one-of-a-kind membership experience.

The campaign is live on 1% Club’s social media platforms, which include Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.

Talking about the campaign, Bare Bones Collective co-founder and chief creative officer Girish Narayanndass said, “1% Club is a fantastic platform that is all about helping you achieve financial freedom. To communicate this, we tapped into a larger insight, i.e. working for money all your life can make you feel trapped. Our goal was to make the campaign as unique as the product itself. Sharan and Viraj have really clicked with their comic timing, and their rapport on screen is quite fun to watch”.

1% Club co-founder Sharan Hegde said, “The 1% club has so far spent all its marketing budget on performance marketing, and it felt like it’s finally time, after two years, to create an extremely professional communication with the world. Everybody perceives us as a course company . This is our way of making a statement that we are here to stay. We are here to build a brand. We are here to not just teach finance but also to launch financial services. The film beautifully captures the essence of the current working-class population. It is our way of representing that the 1% club is a solution to that problem, as almost 50,000 members of our community would attest to that statement that it has been a welcoming change in being confident about their financial planning and in their understanding of money. I hope the brand film reaches as many people as possible and becomes a light bulb movement for millions of people working across the country that life doesn’t have to be a cycle of struggle.”

1% Club co-founder Raghav Gupta, “The 1% Club is building a revolution in India through Financial freedom, every Indian deserves to get this freedom, this brand film is hitting the nerve needed to further deliver our message.”

  • Prime Video introduces Jaggu Dada mode in April Fool’s Day campaign

Prime Video introduces Jaggu Dada mode in April Fool’s Day campaign

Mumbai: Prime Video, India’s most loved entertainment destination, today unveiled a Jaggu Dada Mode, a faux feature that allows users to watch their favourite shows and movies in the iconic vocabulary of the legendary Jackie Shroff a.k.a Jaggu Dada. The playful hoax planned for April Fool’s Day, gave the audiences a glimpse of what their favourite shows and movies would sound like with this mode turned on, with Jaggu Dada’s dub lending a hilarious touch to each scene. Featuring the evergreen Jackie Shroff, the campaign is written and conceptualised by Bare Bones Collective.

In a parody of a traditional feature ad, B-Town’s beloved Bhidu or Jackie Shroff himself showcased how he would dub over fan-favourite and iconic shows like Pataal Lok and The Family Man, infusing them with his trademark slang. The outcome? Cult dialogues got Bhidu-fied, just like everything else he does.

Prime Video is on a mission to be the entertainment destination of choice for every Indian customer, and the latest campaign cranks up the fun quotient. The Juggu Dada faux feature campaign pays a subtle nod to the fun and carefree spirit of legendary ‘Bhidu’ a.k.a Juggu Dada, perfect for April Fool’s Day, an occasion reserved for laughter, pranks and playful trickery. The campaign comes on the back of incredible consumer love for Juggu Dada’s latest cinematic project – Prime Video’s Mast Mein Rehne Ka, where he plays the role of a widower.

Speaking about the campaign, Jackie Shroff said, “Life is all about having fun and living to the fullest. And what better day than April Fool’s Day to practice this philosophy. When I was approached for this campaign, I absolutely loved the idea. The thought of dubbing my favourite shows and movies and giving them a new twist was an opportunity too hard to miss. I am glad to have had the chance to bring a smile on people’s faces this April Fool’s Day. Sab bhidu log ko mast rehna chahiye…that is all I wish for and that is all I want to say through this campaign.”

Written by Anuya Jakatdar, Girish Narayandass, Manaswi Mohata, Rahul Nair and Astle Fernandes, the campaign went live on Prime Video’s YouTube and Instagram.

Sharing her thoughts on the campaign, Bare Bones Collective co-founder Anuya Jakatdar said, “We had a blast writing this campaign. The entire writing team was in Jaggu Dada Mode for two weeks. A big thank you to the team at Prime Video for letting us channel our inner Bhidu. And of course the man himself, Jackie Sir, for being a total delight to work with.”

Mumbai: With another weekend upon us, it is time to unwind with the latest Q&A edition of Indiantelevision.com’s Weekend Unwind—a series of informal chats that peek into the minds of business executives through a fun lens in an attempt to get to know the person behind the title a little better.

In this week’s session, we have Bare Bones Collective co-founder Anuya Jakatdar.

Jakatdar has over 13 years of experience as a journalist, creative/social media consultant, and screenwriter. She is a writer of both short and long-format content, with a flair for comedy. She has written tweets, posts, ads, sketches, funny songs, as well as scripts for both movies and TV shows.

Without further ado, here it goes…

    Your mantra for life
Something Neil Gaiman said in a graduation speech that has since then become a North Star of sorts for me:

“Life is sometimes hard. Things go wrong, in life and in love and in business and in friendship and in health and in all the other ways that life can go wrong. And when things get tough, this is what you should do: Make good art.” – Neil Gaiman

A book you are currently reading or plan to read
I’m reading Tom Lake by Ann Patchett, which is basically a very literary How I Met Your Father

Your fitness mantra, especially during the pandemic
My fitness mantra is “PUT DOWN THAT CHOCOLATE ANUYA”. It’s often not very effective.

    Your comfort food
Sweet Corn Chicken Soup  from a Chinese restaurant that makes extremely orange food

A quote or philosophy that keeps you going when the chips are down
Wow you guys love quotes and mantras huh. I guess the answer to this will be Just Keep Swimming by poet and thinker extraordinaire, Dory

    Your guilty pleasure
Filet-O-Fish burger from McDonald’s. Something about the dry and tasteless nature of that fish patty just brings me back from the brink of any abyss.

The last time you tried something new
I watched a horror movie recently, for the first time ever.

A life lesson you learned the hard way
    I don’t like horror movies

What gets you excited about life?
The fact that I don’t have to ever watch a horror movie again if I don’t want to. Yay, choice!

What’s on top of your bucket list?
Sampling the local cuisine of as many countries as possible.

If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
Don’t listen to your older self. She’s become damn boring and responsible.

One thing you would most like to change about the world
I’d like to change many things, but okay, if I have to pick one, I guess I’d like to banish acidity. It’s such a pesky little thing. Go away, acidity! Shoo!

An activity that keeps you motivated and charged during tough times
Sleeping. Nothing like pushing all the tough times to the next day.

What lifts your spirits when life gets you down?
    Spirits

    Your go-to stress buster
    Reading. Always and forever.
