    BARC week 24: No changes in the Bengali, Bhojpuri, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi sectors

    MUMBAI: No changes were observed in the Bengali, Bhojpuri, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi space in BARC data for week 24. In the Tamil segment, Star Sports1 Tamil emerged as the new player by replacing Star Vijay Super on the and fifth position.  Star Maa continued to be on its leadership position in the Telugu space.

    Bangla

    No changes were observed in the Bengali space. Zee Bangla, Star Jalsha and Jalsha Movies, Sony Aath and Aakash Aath stood at first, second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.

    Bhojpuri

    In the Bhojpuri market as well, no changes were observed. Bhojpuri Cinema, Big Ganga, Dabangg, Bhojpuri Dhamaka Dishum and Oscar Movies Bhojpuri bagged first, second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively. 

    Kannada

    Zee Kannada, Colors Kannada and Udaya TV retained their first, second and third positions respectively. Star Suvarna and Udaya Movies also continued to be in third and fourth positions respectively

    Malayalam

    No changes were observed. Asianet, Flowers TV, Mazhavil Manorama, Surya TV and Asianet Movies continued to be in first, second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.  

    Marathi

    Zee Marathi, Fakt Marathi, Colors Marathi, Zee Talkies and Star Pravah continued to be in first, second, third, fourth and fifth position as compared to the previous week.

    Tamil

    Sun TV, Star Vijay, Zee Tamil, KTV, Star Vijay Super secured first, second, third, fourth positions respectively. Star Sports1 Tamil emerged as the new player by replacing Star Vijay Super in the fifth position.  

    Telugu

    Star Maa continued to be in its leadership position. ETV Telugu, Zee Telugu, Gemini TV and Star Maa Movies stood at second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.

    BARC week 24: Nick leads; Motu Patlu still reigns

    MUMBAI: Maintaining its lead in the kids’ genre, Viacom 18’s Nick continued to retain its top position according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India’s all India (U+R) data for week 24 in NCCS All 4-14 Individuals category.

    The channel has bagged 89348 (000s sums) impressions as opposed to 95275 (000s sums) impressions in the last week, followed by Hungama with 71472 (000s sums) and Disney Channel at the third spot with 67889 (000s sums) ratings.

    Turner International’s Pogo TV was at the fourth spot after a significant drop in viewership ratings from 55133 (000s sums) to 45064 (000s sums) this week, while Sonic Nickelodeon was the fifth most watched channel in the genre with a rating of 35465 (000s sums). It recovered its viewership ratings marginally.

    Among the top five most watched programs in the genre, Motu Patlu 36 Ghantey Race Against Time lead the chart with 985 (000s sums), followed by more from the same franchise. Motu Patlu In Double Trouble with 903 (000s sums) impressions and Motu Patlu Aur Khazaane Ki Race 716 (000s sums) impressions took up the second and third spot in the list respectively.

    Motu Patlu’s uncontested reign over the top five program’s list for three consecutive weeks was finally broken in week 24 by Pakdam Pakdai and Doraemon taking up the fourth and fifth spots.

    While Pakdam Pakdai Doggy Don Vs. Billiman from Nickelodeon secured the fourth spot with 680 (000s sums), Doraemon The Movie Nobita The Explorer Bow! Bow! from Hungama came fifth with 677(000s sums) impressions.

    Over all, kids genre in television has seen a loss in viewership in week 24 as compared to the last week.

    MUMBAI: Sun TV continued to be on top across all genres in week 24 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) All India data. Meanwhile Colors toppled Star Plus from its second position.

    Even though its ratings fell, Sun TV continued to lead across all genres with 866987 Impressions (000s) in week 24 as against 879042 Impressions (000s) in week 23.

    Colors notched up 696785 impressions (000s) followed by Star Plus which generated 688075 Impressions (000s).

    Zee TV maintained it fourth place in week 24 with 570088 Impressions (000s) while Star Utsav climbed up to number fifth with 521629 Impressions (000s) followed by Sony Max at number six with 484634 Impressions (000s). Zee Anmol was at the seventh position with 458530 Impressions (000s).

    Sony Pal slipped to umber eight from five with 447151 Impressions (000s) and Zee Telugu bagged the ninth spot with 446104 (000s). In week 24, Life OK stood at number ten with 428598 Impressions (000s).
