    ’60 Minutes’ to debut on NDTV Profit with Aishwarya Rai

    MUMBAI: NDTV Profit will be debuting one of the most successful broadcasts in television history -60 Minutes, with the episode of Aishwarya Rai. The show will air on 20 February at 10 pm.

    The show has bagged almost 77 awards, which include the highest-ever Emmys along with the Lifetime Achievement Emmy given to Hewitt and the current and past correspondents in September 2003. Other feathers in its cap are 11 Peabody Awards for exceptional television broadcasting and practically every other recorded appreciation in the history of broadcast journalism.
    Rai will be seen answering all kinds of quick posers and toughies ranging from questions about her self-esteem, her weight, and what prompts her to ask God’s forgiveness on 60 Minutes.

    The camera captures her making impulse purchases at her favorite shop, visiting her favorite temple, ordering a long list of delicacies at her favorite restaurant and shooting for some movies that are in the pipeline.     Sony bags broadcast rights for Lakme India Fashion Week

    MUMBAI: The peak of India’s fashion scene, The Lakme India Fashion Week, is shifting broadcast residence.

    The showcase event that has been hitherto airing on Star World for the last two years is moving to Sony from this year on. Sony Entertainment Television India has bagged the broadcast rights for the next three years.
     

     Queried about this development, SET India executive V-P Sunil Lulla withheld comment.

    The Indian fashion showcase event is being held in Mumbai this year and the theme is “watercolours”. Designers for the finale are Hemant Trevedi and Wendell Roderiks, reports say.
