The podcast series, which has been available for streaming to Audible’s members since 28 June will now be open to all listeners at no additional cost. The move comes in response to immense fan support that the Hindi Audible Original has garnered on its paid tier.

    With every artist adding their own flavour to the series, the exceptional ensemble for the Hindi production of Marvel’s Wastelanders: Star-Lord includes Saif Ali Khan as Peter Quill, Vrajesh Hirjee as Rocket, Sushant Divgikr as Cora, Anangsha Biswas as The Collector, Maninee De as Emma Frost and Harjeet Walia as Kraven the Hunter. The Hindi adaptation delivers an immersive audio entertainment experience, artistically directed by leading Indian audio producer, Mantra Mugdh.

    Marvel’s Wastelanders: Star-Lord is set in a shadowy alternate future of the Marvel Universe in which the villains have finally won and heroes are nothing but a bad memory.     The series comprises of six seasons in total, each focused on a different Marvel Super Hero. The second season, Hawkeye, will debut in September 2023.     Produced by Monisha Singh Katial, “The Unsung Heroes” documents the achievements of 20 Indians from the fields of sustainable living, women empowerment, education for the underprivileged, and climate change.

    Mumbai: Audible, an Amazon company, and a global provider of spoken-word entertainment has announced the launch of two new ad films featuring TV actors Nakuul Mehta and Rithvik Dhanjani. The films showcase the wide and diverse range of audio and spoken word content available on the audio streaming app, which listeners can enjoy whenever, wherever they like.

    Conceptualised by Audible and executed by Media Monks, the ads are already on air across 60 channels. This includes channels across genres like Hindi General Entertainment, Hindi Movies, Hindi and English News, Hindi Music, English lifestyle, English Movies, Infotainment as well as on live sports like the India-New Zealand test match from 3 to 7 December 2021 and the English Premier League between 27 November and 28 December 2021, said the company.

    Both films bring out the crackling chemistry and camaraderie between Rithvik and Nakuul. Having diametrically opposite personalities who enjoy completely different activities and audiobooks, helped showcase the range of titles available on Audible, their playful relationship adding to the films’ entertainment quotient.

The first installment of The Sandman, a multi-part Audible Original audio drama series, is set for release on Audible, Summer 2020.

    Audible’s exclusive audio adaptation will bring The Sandman’s epic, metaphysical fantasy to life in meticulously sound-designed, richly immersive audio. When an occultist attempts to capture the physical embodiment of Death in a bargain for eternal life, he instead mistakenly traps Death’s younger brother Morpheus, the King of Dreams. After his seventy-year imprisonment and eventual escape, Morpheus goes on a quest to reclaim his lost objects of power and rebuild his realm. From there, one of greatest and most successful series of graphic novels ever written begins.     Mumbai: Further cementing its commitment to break barriers of all kinds in order for a variety of stories to reach the largest audience possible, Audible today announced an exclusive deal with Rajpal & Sons. The world’s largest audiobooks platform joins hands with one of India’s oldest and largest literary Hindi publishers, thus giving consumers access to over 230 titles across genres, such as Hindi classic and contemporary literature, self-development, poetry and translations. The catalogue includes over 150 bestsellers, including titles with translations to English, as well as Hindi and Urdu titles. 

    The deal marks a milestone in Audible’s India journey, which launched in 2018 and has expanded to over 200,000 titles, with over 700 Audible-exclusive deals with Indian authors. This strategic move will allow their consumers to not only access audiobooks in multiple languages, but also further showcases Audible’s ability to understand and cater to the diverse Indian market. 

    While a robust slate of bestselling authors like Divya Prakash Dubey, Anand Neelakantan and Anu Singh is already available on the service, this partnership will further expand this roster to include classic literary authors like Vishnu S. Khandekar, Khushwant Singh, R.K.Narayan and contemporary authors like Ashok Kumar Pandey, Manisha Kulshreshta, Bhagwant Anmol. In addition, the company recently launched the India-only app, Audible Suno, which provides free access to over 60 exclusive audio shows narrated by India’s most famous voices. 

    Rajpal & Sons, a publisher of timeless classics, is also been known for their translations of both Indian and international literature, including the Hindi translation of the award-winning title Rue De Boutique Obscure (English translation: Missing Person) by Nobel Prize winning author Patrick Modiano.  Some of the popular Hindi titles include Kurukshetra by Dinkar and Meri Priya Kahaniyaan by  Amrita Pritam, Lokpriya Shayar Aur Unki Shayari series by Prakash Pandit, Ashadh Ka Ek Din by Mohan Rakesh and Kitne Pakistan by Kamleshwar. This diverse offering will allow Indian listeners to choose the book they would like to experience, language no bar.

    Additionally, Audible has signed exclusive Hindi titles from Manjul Publications, the leader in the self-development space, with translations of books such The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy and Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari, , The Answer (Allan and Barbara Pease), Tipping Point (Malcolm Gladwell) in the pipeline. 

    Some of the books being translated exclusively for Audible include Hindi translations of international bestselling titles like The Alchemist and Adultery by Paulo Coelho.
