    Volkswagen drives into a new PR lane with Ruder Finn India

    MUMBAI:   Volkswagen India is switching gears on the communications front, awarding its press communication mandate to Ruder Finn India, one of the world’s heavyweight integrated communications and creative agencies.

    Effective 1 May, Ruder Finn will roll out a full-throttle strategy covering corporate storytelling, media relations, strategic counsel, and brand campaigns — all aimed at turbocharging Volkswagen’s innovation narrative and sharpening its profile in the fiercely competitive Indian market.

    Volkswagen India lead – marketing communications and press Gagan Mangal said the company is revving up its brand positioning for a fast-evolving automotive and media landscape. “We are excited to onboard Ruder Finn as our communications partner. Their strategic thinking, integrated approach, and deep brand storytelling expertise made them the right fit for the road ahead,” he said.

    MUMBAI: Zenith, part of Publicis Media India, has strengthened its organisational structure and announced three senior-level hires.

    Atul Sharma has joined Zenith as Senior Vice President in New Delhi and will be the business head for SBU that includes Nestle, Truecaller, Yatra, Hotels.com and others. A marketing post-graduate, he has more than 16 years of work experience across multiple marketing and media functions such as marketing services, market planning, consumer research, sales, events, public relations strategic media planning, buying and implementation. Consumer insights are his strong point. He has led businesses for Snapdeal, Freecharge, Gaana.com, Cricbuzz.com, ITC Retail, Del Monte and Lenskart among others.

    Love Guglani has come on board as the Senior Vice President for Zenith, based again in New Delhi, to lead the other SBU for Cargill, LVMH, Jabong, Micromax, Hennes & Mauritz (H&M), Aviva amongst others. He again, has more than 16 years of work experience in media across strategy, planning, buying and implementation. Love has a diverse background and has led businesses such as LG, Tata DoCoMo, HCL, Samsung and Intel Microprocessors.

    Another senior hire is Swati Jha. She has joined Zenith as the Senior Vice President to head the agency’s West India operations and will be based in Mumbai. She is a MICA alumnus with over 14 years of media agency experience.

    Swati Jha has led large FMCG businesses such as Mondelez (earlier Cadbury), Marico, Kellogg’s, Godrej and Zydus Cadilla in senior leadership roles. In previous roles, she has spearheaded award-winning work on brands such as Saffola, Parachute, Bournvita not just in the Indian market but also in some of the prestigious global platforms and juries such as Festival Of Media Asia Pacific (FOMA.)

    MediaVest Worldwide hires Atul Sharma as GM

    MUMBAI: MediaVest Worldwide, a Starcom MediaVest Group agency, has appointed Atul Sharma as GM-Delhi.

    Sharma has joined from Madison Media where he worked on clients like Coca Cola.

    Sharma will oversee the Dabur business and will report to SMG executive director Sulina Menon.

    Menon said, “We are happy to have Atul on board for Dabur. With his extensive FMCG experience and the research background we are looking at him to drive strategy led solutions to the Dabur brands.”

    Sharma said, “SMG is a future ready organization and I am excited to work with the new age tools like Tardiis and optimize plans across TV and Web in one go”.

    Sharma comes in with more than 11 years of experience in strategy, procurement and implementation. He started his career with NDTV in research and marketing. He has worked on audience segmentation models, business development and marketing plans. Sharma had also worked with Initiative Media and MPG, working on clients like LG, Nestle, ITC , Maruti and Reckitt Benkiser.
