    Mumbai: ABP Majha, a leading news channel of Maharashtra hosted the prestigious ‘Majha Sanman Puraskar 2023’ on Monday, 21 August at the elegant ITC Grand Central in Mumbai. The ‘Majha Sanman Puraskar’ serves as a distinguished tribute to individuals who have made noteworthy contributions across various domains.  

    The event was graced by distinguished chief guests, including chief minister Eknath Shinde, chief of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Raj Thackeray, and the veteran actor Jeetendra Kapoor.

    Beyond being mere awards, the ‘Majha Sanman Puraskar’ from ABP Majha symbolizes gratitude towards those who have significantly enriched the well-being, growth, and sense of accomplishment of the state of Maharashtra.     For the past 15 years, the ‘Majha Sanman Puraskar’ has stood as a symbol of appreciation for the state’s pride, paying homage to luminaries such as Sachin Tendulkar, Dr Rani Bang, Ashutosh Kotwal, Nagraj Manjule, Pt. Suresh Talkwalkar, Rahul Dravid, and many more. This year’s edition marked an unforgettable evening celebrating Maharashtra’s vibrant heritage of talent, creativity, and excellence.

    The broadcast of the show is scheduled for Saturday, August 26th, at 8 PM, with a repeat episode airing on Sunday, 27 August at 7 PM, ensuring a wider audience can partake in the celebration of Maharashtra’s remarkable individuals.

    Majha Sanman Puraskar 2023 was co-presented by Dear Government Lottery, Vikram Tea, Star Parvah, Lottoland, and Cycle Agarbatti. It was co-powered by Akkuda’s Dhudhkandi, Senco Gold & Diamonds, and Gokul Dudh. The Drive-in partner for the event was H’ness CB350, and it was partnered by Tata Play.     ECOA appoints Shemaroo’s CEO Hiren Gada as its new president

    Mumbai: According to a recent announcement made at the 58th annual general meeting of the Entertainment Content Owners Association of India (ECOA), Shemaroo Entertainment’s chief executive officer Hiren Gada has been named as their new president.

    In further development, RK Duggal, Ashok Jain, and Narendra Hirawat were onboarded as the association’s next vice president, secretary, and treasurer, respectively.

    Speaking on the announcement, Gada said, “It’s an honour to be elected as the president of this prestigious association that has been safeguarding the interests of the entertainment content owners of India. I am grateful to all my colleagues and members of the ECOA for entrusting me with this responsibility. I am excited to collaborate with industry leaders to future-proof content ownership and distribution with the emergence of technology and web 3.0.”

    ECOA is a comprehensive apex body dedicated to the causes, growth, promotion, protection, and welfare of all entertainment content owners in India across all genres, languages, and formats.

    On 15 October 1963, Lim Billimoria and a few other Indian film exporters formed the Indian Film Exporters Association to promote and facilitate the export of Indian films abroad.

    The association represents, protects, and promotes the overall well-being of all Indian entertainment content owners. It is a non-government and non-profit organisation that plays an important role in securing the holder’s various legitimate content rights.

    NEW DELHI: The Indian Council of IMPEX for Films and TV Programmers, at its Annual General Meeting, has elected Sushilkumar Agrawal, Ultra Media and Entertainment CEO, as the president.

    Film producer Gordhan Tanwani has been elected as the vice-president, Shemaroo Entertainment director Hiren Gada was elected as the honorary secretary and Ashok Jain as the honorary treasurer at the meeting held in Mumbai.

    The Indian Council of IMPEX For Films and TV Programmers – earlier known as Indian Film Exporters Association – promotes the trade of import and export of Indian and foreign films and television programmes globally. The main focus of this council is to help, safeguard and encourage general welfare, development and prosperity in India & worldwide

    One of the primary tasks before Agrawal is to create a unique platform wherein the Indian member-owners of films, TV and digital content will be able to seamlessly offer these to various countries worldwide. In this platform even the foreign content owners will be certified members of this council, which in turn will help them to offer their content to Indian members in a lucid and transparent way.

    The Council will initiate a certification process which will authenticate the content being sold, hence ensuring credibility in the entire transaction worldwide.

    The council will actively participate in a maximum number of film festivals and film markets, which will help in giving a bigger opportunity for the council members to showcase and promote their respective content globally.

    MUMBAI: Bollywood film ‘Future Toh Bright Hai Ji’, which is currently running in theatres, will release online on Spuul.com, ten days after the film’s theatrical release on 2 November.

    Starting 13 November, movie lovers worldwide, including India, can instantly watch ‘Future Toh Bright Hai Ji’ (FTBHJ) anytime, anywhere on a wide variety of devices by signing up for an account on Spuul.com or downloading Spuul’s free app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

    Spuul.com, which already has over a million views, will allow movie buffs worldwide and in India to watch the film on the web as well as on their mobile devices.
