  • Cello’s mother-daughter campaign strikes an emotional chord

Cello’s mother-daughter campaign strikes an emotional chord

MUMBAI: The new ‘Main aur Maa’ film released by home ware brand Cello has set the digital space abuzz. The film tugs at viewers’ heartstrings with its portrayal of a mother’s unconditional love for her daughter. Hitting all the right emotional chords, it builds around the theme of ‘Companion for Life.’

The digital brand campaign has been conceptualised and executed by Eggfirst Advertising.

Cello World director Gaurav Rathod says, “Since conception, Cello as a brand, has been the torch-bearer for the woman of substance. As India gallops towards the new, mobile internet-driven scheme of things, certain things will forever remain unchanged, foremost being the transcendent mother-daughter bond. The film has beautifully captured the myriad nuances of the bond.”

Eggfirst Advertising SVP Ashish Banka adds, “Home ware communication we have witnessed so far, doesn’t cross certain boundaries. Taking a cue from today’s generation – people have gotten busy with their individual lives, while letting crucial relationships flounder and stagnate; most young people do not realise the value of key relationships in their lives – this gave us an opportunity to bring to the fore the concept that there still exist relationships that are living embodiments of a ‘Companion for Life’. We have envisaged Cello as the quantifiable equivalent of a trusted companion in the modern woman’s hectic life, the one companion that will never fail her even when the pace of life gets too hot to handle. The film showcases a sublime emotion- the selfless love of a mother for her daughter.”

The video has already touched half a million views on both Facebook and YouTube combined, within a span of four days.

According to a joint press statement from the brand and agency, Eggfirst‘s bull‘s-eye strategic solution clinched it for them. Eggfirst identified MIST‘s in-studio training that allows students to learn on the job, as a key selling point, converting it into the core communication strategy.

MIST studio ops head Aruna Kumar said, “There are several animation training institutes out there with good credentials and reputation. But what differentiates MIST is the opportunity to work on live projects of Maya Digital Studio. That‘s what gets students a true beginning into careers on live real work. And that‘s what Eggfirst was able to translate aptly into creative. Once the campaign is released shortly, you‘ll see then strategic accuracy in the creative.”

Eggfirst invested its energies in getting the core messaging right. • Eggfirst creates Hari Darshan’s debut ad campagin

MUMBAI: Eggfirst Advertising has launched a new campaign for manufacturer of incense sticks and other religious ornaments Hari Darshan. The company is over a hundred years old but this is the first time it has decided to launch a mainstream advertising campaign called ‘Ghar ko mandir bana de‘.

Hari Darshan already has presence and market share in the Northern parts of India and the campaign is an attempt to expand and reach out to unexplored territories in the country.

Eggfirst VP Ashish Banka said, “Initial research indicated that the product category was used by a diverse audience – from deeply rural to ultra urban, from young adults to old people, and it cut across genders. That‘s precisely why the communication needed to be simple, direct and uncomplicated.”

The 360 degree campaign includes print and activation along with an aggressive digital marketing campaign to garner brand visibility and connect including social media and a new website.

Hari Darshan MD Goldy Nagdev said, “I am extremely happy with the way the brand is developing. With serious product quality and deep acceptance of our brand all these years, it was necessary to do justice to its true potential – and that‘s what Eggfirst has helped us achieve. Having seen the industry up close for so many years, I can confidently say that ‘ghar ko mandir bana de‘ is a truly path breaking campaign and will definitely take our brand Hari Darshan to a new high.”

“We were initially considering taking on a celebrity as a brand ambassador, but then decided against it to emphasise on the brand essence rather than on a personality. There can‘t be a bigger brand ambassador than God! And the message ‘ghar ko mandir bana de‘ we believe is a very strong platform and lends itself to a lot of branding action, added Nagdev.

Eggfirst is a Mumbai based full service ad agency offering end-to-end creative solutions for various business challenges.
