    Treeview partners with Arzooo to bolster its TV business in India

    Mumbai: Treeview, Thailand’s LED TV and appliance manufacturer, will leverage retail tech platform Arzooo’s network of retailers to market its smart android full HD range of TV models in India, from 24 inch to 85 inch. Treeview is spread across geographies such as the Middle East and African countries, among others.

    The company said India is currently witnessing a massive demand for world-class smart televisions as an increasing number of consumers are looking forward to transitioning from non-smart TVs to smart TVs with larger screen sizes. Treeview sees this as an opportunity to introduce its smart TVs. It aims to register sales of over half a million smart TVs in the next 12 months.

    Arzooo’s network of offline retail channels in India will enable Treeview to scale up and achieve pan-India penetration in the shortest span of time.

    “Our aim is to reach more households through Arzooo’s retail network. With enhanced specifications, superior quality, and affordable pricing, our range of smart TVs are best suited for Indian consumers,” said QThree Ventures director Jubin Peter.

    Arzooo director of TV categories Sai Krishna said, “We are pleased to extend the Arzooo platform to Treeview to offer high-quality smart TVs to Indian consumers through our retail network. This partnership is another step forward in strengthening our portfolio of large appliances going forward.     Arzooo Express, backed by a network of 35 hubs and warehouses across 22 states, will play a pivotal role in the distribution strategy. Recently, Arzooo has launched Quick Retail, which promises next-day delivery to metro cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. It will further the quest of retailers to provide consumers with smart android TVs at viable prices with speedy delivery.

    Mumbai: B2B e-commerce platform Arzooo has brought Anand Chandak on board as vice president – categories. With more than a decade-long experience in building e-commerce categories, Chandak will be trailblazing the company’s efforts to build strategies and operational plans for Arzooo’s core categories of appliances and electronics.

    Chandak’s prior experience with esteemed brands like Paytm Mall, Amazon India, Novartis, ITC, and Nokia to name a few, will be instrumental in bringing versatility to Arzooo’s growth and expansion, said the company in a statement. “Chandak will be leveraging his experience and expertise to scale Arzooo’s distributor relationship, enhance its brand recall and chart out consumer research to create high-impact marketing campaigns,” it added.

    “Anand’s intrinsic understanding of the distribution strategies and the intricacies involved in Appliances and electronics categories will help us build upon our efforts to establish sustainable growth. We are elated to have him on board,” said Arzooo co-founder and CEO Khushnud Khan.

    During his stints at various organisations, Chandak played important roles in changing the dynamics of retail in India. He has been part of the initial core team of setting up and scaling Amazon’s sourcing arm, Cloudtail and played a crucial role in establishing and growing various categories for Amazon India. He also played a central role in Paytm’s e-commerce foray as vice president of Paytm Mall.

    Industry veteran Prasoon Kumar joins Arzooo as VP-strategy

    Mumbai: Consumer electronics veteran Prasoon Kumar has joined B2B commerce platform Arzooo as vice president, strategy. Kumar has been at the forefront of leading distribution, sales and channel strategy for some of India’s largest white goods brands.

    At Arzooo, Kumar’s charter will be to drive the company’s expansion and reach into the breadth and width of the country with mid to long term strategy and bringing strategic partnerships on it’s mission to power offline retail with technology and financial capability and making them competitive and scalable, said the statement.

    In his last assignment at Voltas, Kumar played a pivotal role in setting up the business for the Voltas-Beko – a joint venture of India’s voltas and Turkey’s Beko. He was leading the sales and marketing function for Voltas-Beko while spearheading the launch for the JV brand in India including the channel strategy and consumer marketing.

    “As someone from the industry I have followed Arzooo’s journey closely and it’s very fascinating how it has evolved in short span and cracked one of the most complex categories,” said Prasoon Kumar. “Arzooo is already making waves in the retail and consumer electronics ecosystem and I am thrilled to be a part of this young and energetic team and excited about taking the venture to new heights.”

    Backed by over 20 years of cumulative experience in channel sales, and revenue management, Kumar has displayed innate proficiency in formulating strategy for sales & distribution, new business development of general trade. Before his Voltas-Beko tenure, Kumar has worked as the sales head for Godrej and played a crucial role in expanding presence for Haier India. He worked with LG India in its founding days and has played his part in establishing LG as the market leader in India’s consumer durable market.

    “I have known Prasoon as an industry leader from my flipkart days, and always been impressed about his business acumen and innovative ideas.     Mumbai: Sanjay Mishra has joined the Arzooo team as vice president of business development after seven years with Reliance Jio and its new retail arm, Jio Mart.

    At Arzooo, Mishra’s charter will be to drive Arzooo’s expansion and reach into tier-3 and tier-4  cities on its mission to power offline retail with technology and financial capability, making them competitive and scalable. He will be leading the sales organisation of Arzooo and providing leadership to its sales and business development teams. He will be spearheading Arzooo’s growth and expansion across the country.

    “We are having a phenomenal growth run with over 400 per cent YOY growth and are strengthening our leadership team to catalyse the same,” said Arzooo CEO and co-founder Khushnud Khan. “Pleased to have Sanjay on-board with us at Arzooo. In his last assignment at Reliance, Mishra was leading retail arm Jio Mart’s digital business as vice president, sales operation.
