Aap Ki Adalat: Delhi CM Rekha Gupta on skipping Sheesh Mahal – “Neend nahin aati”

MUMBAI: Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta has, for the first time, explained why she decided not to shift to the multi-crore ‘Sheesh Mahal’ built by Arvind Kejriwal, and opted to go to a renovated bungalow on Raj Niwas Marg.

Appearing in Rajat Sharma’s iconic show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, to be telecast tonight at 10 pm on India TV, the chief minister was asked what the harm was in shifting to ‘Sheesh Mahal’, “Neend Nahin Aati (I can’t sleep). I see how the people of Delhi are suffering, and Kejriwal Saheb was enjoying while staying there. He even did not open his curtains (Woh Pardey Bhi Nahin Kholte They). The voice of people did not reach his ears (Janata Ki Awaaz Unke Kaanon Me Nahin Aati Thi). He used to stay within the confines of his home. Even today, his party MLAs come and tell me, they never saw the Sachivalaya (secretariat). Today that secretariat has been opened to thousands of people. Earlier entry to the corridors was restricted.”

Gupta is expected to move into her new bungalow during the Navratri festival this year, as renovation work is going on. On Friday, a special havan and pooja were performed at the bungalow.

When Rajat Sharma referred to a PWD tender notice issued on 28 June for the CM’s bungalow, which will have 24 ACs, 5 smart TVs, three chandeliers, 115 lights, 23 ceiling fans, six geysers, 10 flood lights, advanced cctv cameras and top class internet connection, Rekha Gupta replied: “The man (Kejriwal) who had claimed he would never take a bungalow and car, spent Rs 80 crore of hard-earned money of the people for his personal use. His curtains cost several crores of rupees, and when people raised questions, he closed the gates to his Sheesh Mahal. Today, after being CM for four months, I do not have an official residence. I use tables and chairs on my street to listen to public grievances. Never in history was a residence given to a CM, where a fourth-grade employee of the LG used to sit. Since there was no official CM residence in Delhi, it was easy for me to go there and stay. I refused to go and stay in Sheesh Mahal. I can only go to a residence where thousands of people can come and meet me, otherwise I will not opt. Today my home is open to all. Nobody could go and meet Kejriwal Saheb when he was CM.”

“But my home and residence are open to all who want to meet me. I am your CM, my time is yours and my home is yours….Today my residence  is being renovated at a cost for which he had bought doormats and curtains for his home…… My work is transparent. I do not conduct secret meetings like him, nor do I have a fleet of 100 cellphones, which can be broken, when caught. I will stay wherever people will tell me, I want to live in their hearts. I am ready to live in the streets.”

Asked what will now happen to the Sheesh Mahal, Gupta replied, ”Hamari Yojana Hai Ki Janata Ka Paisa Jo Wahan Barbaad Kiya, Hamari Koshish Rahegi Ki Hum Aisa Nirnay Len Ki JO Paisa Laga, Woh Phir Se Khazaane Me Aaye Aur Usse Janata Ka Laabh Ho, Kaam Ho.” (Our plan is, the money that was squandered on it comes back to our exchequer and it is used for the betterment of the people)

The chief minister spoke on several topics ranging from cleaning of Yamuna, Mohalla clinics, education, stray cows and slum dwellers.

On cleaning of Yamuna, she said, “our government is fighting on all fronts. Right from our prime minister to the common man, everybody is worried about Yamuna…. All fresh water that comes to Delhi through Yamuna is used for drinking purpose. Nearly 200 drains including Najafgarh and Shahdara drains fall in Yamuna. We first decided to trap the drains to improve BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) level. It was found 22 out of 38 STP plants were not working as per DPCC guidelines. Old STPs are being updated and upgraded. We are trying to trap all effluents coming from industrial areas. We have also spoken to the Haryana government to trap its effluents. We have prepared Rs 9,000 budget for Yamuna action plan this year and this work cannot be completed in one day. We involved experts during the last four months, acquired technology and did not waste a moment. There are 1,700 colonies which do not have sewer lines. We have started laying sewer lines and pipelines. We are working with Haryana and UP to increase the e-flow of Yamuna.”

On Kejriwal threatening “Naani Yaad Aa Jayegi” if 40 lakh slum dwellers come out on the streets, the Chief Minister replied: “Why should I remember my Naani? Kejriwal complicated matters and he wants Delhi must not develop. Neither he worked on reducing pollution, nor did he remove the garbage hills or created any infrastructure. He only gave away freebies for water and electricity, but did not build new flyovers and infrastructure. Does he want dwellers to continue staying in slums. Let Kejriwal try and see if 40 lakh slum dwellers come out on his call…For 27 years out of which Congress ruled for 15 years and Kejriwal ruled for 12 years, no house was built for the poor. The Centre built 50,000 flats for distribution, but they became dilapidated. It was Modiji who gave homes in places of jhuggis. Let people say, should the government agency not clear the places for which people were given flats? If the court orders removal of those who built slums close to rail tracks, created security threat, will those slums not be demolished? He (Kejriwal) is misguiding and creating fear in the minds of slum dwellers by saying their homes will be demolished. It was the AAP government that created a parameter that those who settled in Delhi before 2015 should be given flats. Those who were left out and are demanding flats, we have two paths left: One, either their old policy was wrong and we should change that policy or say that even those who came to Delhi two months ago should also get flats. Naturally, taxpayers will ask what is the cut-off period,15 years or 40 years or yesterday? Our policy will be transparent. All those who live in jhuggis should get better homes, better amenities.”

Rekha Gupta said, “There are 675 jhuggi clusters in Delhi, out of which demolition was done in only four. Out of these, there were court cases in three and in the fourth, the land owning agency had already given them flats. No demolition action has taken place anywhere else in Delhi. Kejriwal is like Kumbhakaran, who does politics in Punjab for six months and then comes here. He does not know how Delhi progressed in the last four months. He was in power in Delhi for 12 years, did he give a single flat to a slum dweller? You won’t find a single jhuggiwallah who can say that he was given a flat by Kejriwal. Today, our government is making plans to give flats to lakhs of poor people and we are seriously working on it.”

Describing Kerjiwal’s Mohalla Clinic scheme as a “big fraud”, Rekha Gupta said, “It was a big fraud based on fake propaganda. They set up a porta cabin on a drain, named it Mohalla clinic, asked a doctor to sit there, he was paid Rs 40 per patient. Do you think the doctor will cure the patient, or he will ensure there is a long queue of patients. One doctor claimed he attended 500 patients on a single day and demanded payment. There was no medicine, no vaccination. Our Aarogya Mandir is a full-fledged primary hospital or a dispensary, equipped with medical and paramedic staff and nursing staff. We give medicines and vaccination. One can get firstaid and treatment. There are also provisions for medical tests. Nearly 100Aarogya Mandirs are functioning in Delhi today. Mohalla Clinics were a fraud. They were misusing money by cheating people.”

The chief minister alleged that the AAP government used to squander money by appointing people on contract in civil defence. “There was a requirement for 500 staff, but he appointed 25,000 people. They were given jobs like ensuring “odd-even” rule, standing at traffic lights asking car drivers to switch off their engines. Lakhs of rupees were squandered. One person carrying a placard was paid Rs 1,000 daily, which comes to Rs 30,000 per month. Even an engineer does not get this salary.  When the court ordered to cancel this scheme, these 20-25,000 people were rendered unemployed. Similarly, bus marshals were appointed. Now we have electric buses having cameras and panic buttons and marshals are not needed. These marshals are now unemployed. They were all on contract. For the first time in the last 15-20 years, our government is going to give permanent appointment letters to 1,500 nurses on July 6. This is how the previous government complicated things.”

On the recent controversy over refusal of fuel to old vehicles in Delhi, the Chief Minister said,  “It is our misfortune that Delhi has been declared one of the worst polluted cities in the world. The previous government did not take any serious steps to stop air pollution and the capital, instead of becoming a green city, became a gas chamber. It was then that the courts, National Green Tribunal and CAQM stepped in. The order to deny fuel to petrol and diesel vehicles that are 10 to 15 years old was issued by CAQM. I think this order is not justified.’

She explained: “I would like to assure the people of Delhi that our government would ensure no injustice is done to the people. We will place this view before the courts, NGT and CAQM. There are thousands of middle class families, including my father, who use their vehicles occasionally… The previous Kejriwal government had been scrapping old vehicles for the last one and a half years. ..In the past, the government did not do its duty and the people had to face the music ….. Our government will not allow people to face injustice for keeping old vehicles. There is no logic behind refusing fuel to old vehicles in Delhi, and allowing neighbouring states in NCR to sell fuel.”

Aap Ki Adalat with Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta telecasted tonight at 10 pm on India TV. Repeat telecasts of this show will take place on Sunday at 10 am and 10 pm.

Zee Media launches news channel Zee Delhi NCR Haryana

Mumbai: Zee Media Corp has launched a news channel catering to Delhi, NCR, and Haryana. The channel called ‘Zee Delhi NCR Haryana’ will serve everyday news consumption needs via an array of different genres of programmes, it said.

Congratulating Zee Media on the launch of the channel, Rajya Sabha MP Dr Subhash Chandra in his message wished that the channel delivers to the expectations of the viewers. He also urged viewers to give their feedback about the channel.

“First, I would like to extend my best wishes to the group on launching the new channel – Zee Delhi, NCR and Haryana,” said chief minister of Haryana Manohar Lal. “We are rapidly evolving and coming closer every day becoming a global village; and news plays a very important role in this. I expect that the new channel will be a bridge between the state government and the people of Haryana.”

With the channel launch, Zee Media has addressed the need gap of hyperlocal news exclusively focused on the issues pertaining to Delhi, NCR and Haryana. The channel offers carefully curated programming that caters beyond politics and debates by including shows on crime, lifestyle, health etc.

“Congratulations to Zee Media on launching Zee Delhi NCR Haryana, for fulfilling the need of a regional-focused channel based out of our region,” said chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal. “Journalists work in tough conditions and I have a lot of respect for the work they do but sometimes, they may get disconnected from the common man. There will be many things that different parties or politicians say, but it is important to keep the focus on what the common man says.”

“The regions of Delhi, NCR and Haryana are a hotbed for politics and are also important cultural centres of the country,” said Zee Media cluster chief business officer Abhay Ojha. “We see a gap in honest, unbiased and extensive on-ground reporting in the regions, and hence we launched the channel that will exclusively cater to fulfilling that gap. We aim to be the most trustworthy news brand in the market. Since retail sales potential is very high, many SMEs are missing the platform as they can’t go to the national channels. Only local channels can give them complete RoI on advertisement, and we aim to focus on hyperlocal.”

Zee Delhi, NCR and Haryana will be available as a linear television channel across all DTH and MSO platforms, along with the OTT streaming platform Zee5. The news channel will also have its handles on social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.

Reporting from the frontline: Journalists battle with Covid second wave

NEW DELHI: With India engulfed in the firestorm that is the second wave of Covid2019, journalists in the country are putting their lives on the line to keep the public informed and abreast of the latest developments regarding the fatal pathogen, and the measures that should be taken to curb its spread. But in spite of these noble efforts from the news media community, the government has not classified scribes as frontline workers who are entitled to priority Covid vaccination. It’s a fact that while working round the clock to provide Covid updates from the frontlines, several journalists have lost their lives.

According to data released by the Press Emblem Campaign (PEC), a non-profit organisation focused on press freedom and journalist safety, 51 Indian journalists have died due to coronavirus. The data released by PEC was dated 29 December, and the current death toll among the news media community could be much higher, especially at this time where the resurgent virus is on a killing spree through India.

Request from Editors Guild of India

Recently, the Editors Guild of India urged the government to declare journalists as frontline workers and be allowed priority Covid vaccination.

“News organisations have been relentlessly covering the pandemic, elections, and other current affairs in an effort to ensure that the flow of news and information to readers continues unabated. News media is included in essential services. Therefore it will only be fair that journalists be given this cover of protection, especially in the face of the number of infected rising to astronomical levels,” the Editors Guild of India said in a statement.

Extending support to newspersons in the country, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal also urged the central government to classify media personals as frontline workers.

“Journalists are reporting from most adverse situations. They should be treated as frontline workers and should be allowed vaccination on priority. Delhi government is writing to the Centre in this regard,” tweeted the AAP supremo.

Tamil Nadu MP B Manickam Tagore also appealed to prime minister Narendra Modi to declare all journalists as frontline workers. In a memorandum, Tagore shockingly revealed that India has the highest fatalities among journalists dying due to Covid infection across Asia and the second-highest across the world.

    Industry experts react

Calling journalists ”frontline warriors”, Asianet News editor-in-chief MG Radhakrishnan stated that several journalists contracted the novel Coronavirus at his channel.

“At least 25 journalists working in Asianet News have been infected with the coronavirus. Like any other frontline workers, journalists are also risking their lives to keep people informed about the pandemic and our role in this war against the invisible enemy should not be ignored,” said Radhakrishnan.

Talking about the challenges during news reporting, he added, “Unlike other instances of calamity, we are putting families too at risk.”

Mathrubhumi Group managing director MV Shreyams Kumar shared that his company has been trying hard to give all protection measures for journalists since the pandemic outbreak.

“We have an effective operational standard maintained, the reporters are given shifts on a rotational basis and they are regularly examined and tested. The office space is well sanitised, and safety factors are taken into consideration.  The government has been quite supportive to the media industry, they have well adhered to the fact that newspapers are playing a very important role in delivering credible news to its readers and the general public at large,” he noted.

Senior media consultant and veteran journalist Mohan Nair echoed the sentiment, going on to add that reporters who are on the field are more prone to occupational hazards despite taking precautionary measures, and urged the government to give prioritised vaccines to journalists irrespective of their age.

PIB’s relief efforts and Uttarakhand government’s empathetical step

In a major relief, the Uttarakhand government has decided to classify journalists as frontline workers. Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat has also ordered the vaccination of all journalists and representatives of media organisations. The Telangana government has also decided to give financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of journalists who have succumbed to Covid.

To help the families of journalists who have passed away due to Covid infection under the Journalist Welfare Scheme (JWS), the PIB is collecting information of newspersons who lost their lives during the pandemic time. The central government has also approved the proposal of the Press Information Bureau’s journalist welfare committee to provide financial relief of Rs 5 lakh to deceased journalists’ family. As a part of this plan, the families of 39 journalists will receive this financial relief.

As hundreds of journalists have succumbed to Coronavirus in India, the Network of Women in Media India (NWMI) recently paid tribute to newspersons who lost their lives during the pandemic.

“Media houses need to actively ensure the safety and health of journalists who work for them and those who, as independent stringers or freelancers, supply vital information, photographs and videos to them. Media houses must stop forcing journalists to travel in dangerously unsafe conditions to work in offices instead of encouraging them to work from home,” said NWMI in a statement.

On 26 April, India witnessed more than 3,23,000 Covid positive cases and 2,771 Covid-related deaths. Medical experts believe that the double and triple mutant variants of the deadly virus are responsible for the sudden surge in cases in India.

  • Weekend curfew in Delhi, cinema halls to operate with only 30 per cent occupancy

Weekend curfew in Delhi, cinema halls to operate with only 30 per cent occupancy

New Delhi : After witnessing the highest ever single-day spike in the number of Covid2019 cases, the Delhi government has decided to impose a strict weekend curfew in the national capital, starting 10 pm on Friday.

The AAP government has also ordered all the malls, auditoriums and spas to shut shop from 16 April till further orders. Cinema halls, however, have been allowed to remain open during the weekdays, but can function with only 30 per cent occupancy.

"I had a meeting with the L-G. We have decided to impose weekend curfew in Delhi. This is because people generally go out for work on weekdays and entertainment on weekends. In order to break the chain we are imposing a weekend curfew, exempting essential services," said Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday.

According to the new restrictions, no dine-in options will be allowed in restaurants and eateries and only home deliveries will be permitted. The weekend curfew will start at 10 pm on Friday to 6 am on Monday. However, all essential services will remain functional.

A night curfew has also been imposed in Noida and Ghaziabad Friday onwards.

The decision comes two days after the Maharashtra government announced strict restrictions for the next two weeks in wake of the alarming surge in the number of infections. However, unlike Delhi, Maharashtra has also closed all movie theatres as well. All television and film shoots have been shut down till 1 May.

The country is reeling under a severe second wave of the novel Coronavirus, with the number of caseloads surpassing last year's records. On Thursday, India recorded a record two lakh cases during the last 24 hours and over 1,038 deaths.

The national capital too reported 17,282 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, its highest spike so far. The number of daily Covid deaths has also been increasing, with 104 deaths recorded on Wednesday alone.

  • Journalists should be vaccinated on priority: Arvind Kejriwal

Journalists should be vaccinated on priority: Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi: As the country struggles to combat the second wave of Covid2019 cases, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that journalists should also be treated as ‘frontline workers’ and be considered eligible for the ongoing vaccination drive.

An increasing number of journalists are getting infected with the novel Coronavirus while reporting from the ground. Some of them even lost their lives in the past year. “Journalists are reporting from most adverse situations. They should be treated as frontline workers and should be allowed vaccination on priority. Delhi government is writing to the Centre in this regard,” Kejriwal said in a tweet.

Uttarakhand has already announced Covid2019 vaccinations for journalists without any age restrictions and ordered to set up vaccination centres for them in the state. "During the ongoing pandemic, the journalists in the state worked like frontline workers in providing the required information to the people about Covid2019 which helped the government significantly," Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat had said on 4 April.

India had kickstarted the vaccination drive on 16 January with two vaccines – Covishield and Covaxin, which were administered to the frontline workers including doctors and hospital staff. The second phase of the vaccination drive began on 1 March, when persons above 60 years of age and those with co-morbidities were permitted to take the jabs. The third phase began on 1 April for people aged above 45 years.

The government has recently approved another vaccine, Russia's Sputnik V, for emergency use.

Meanwhile, in yet another alarming spike, India recorded over 1.84 lakh fresh Covid cases in the past 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry. The daily average of caseloads across the country crossed 1.5 lakh last week. The country has lost as many as 1,000 lives during the last 24 hours. The soaring cases have left the hospitals over-burdened, with a shortage of medical supplies including hospital beds and oxygen cylinders.

  • Do you want argumentative or sophisticated media, asks Arnab Goswami

MUMBAI: India, with the help of advanced technology, editorial sophistication and big global channels is on threshold of becoming the media capital of the world before 2020, and will take on BBC, CNN and other global channels, dreams Republic TV news presenter and editor Arnab Goswami.

“India is the only country where media can question anyone on any subject including religion, the kind of journalism that we practice, the way we go overboard, boldness being shown by journalists across the nation and bringing out the truth is helping media become an agent of social change. This will also help us become a global media platform before 2020. That is my dream,” Goswami said while speaking at an interactive session “News as an Agent of Change’ organised by FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) here.

“Delhi city has helped me grow in my career as I have spent nine and a half years of my professional life here and I always felt that it was not a city that supported pure merit. “In 2000-2001, I was about to quit this profession. I was frustrated as a journalist since I felt I was a cog in the wheel. Shifting base to Mumbai helped me do my kind of journalism and what we do is possible for bringing in social change because I was physically separated from the centre of power. This city has taught me the value of merit, independence and professionalism. I owe everything that I am today and everything that I can be to Delhi and Mumbai,” he said.

“The television media has made politicians accountable for their doings. We play a conscious role towards being a force-multiplier for social movements. Such was the case during the India Against Corruption movement, in which Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi, Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan came together. Today, when the media questions Kejriwal as a politician, people ask me, “Have you forgotten that you are the same people who put Kejriwal on a pedestal?” But, I never supported Arvind Kejriwal. I supported the fight against corruption. Our support was for the Lokpal movement and not for a group that wanted to become a political party,” said Goswami.

“It’s always a tough decision to take the path less travelled. Rival channels have always accused me of being over the top and presenting a dumbed-down version of the news. However, I am a firm believer in my form of journalism — which does not believe in the ‘underhand delivery’. I look upon us as new-age journalists. It is my responsibility to throw a googly or bouncer to those in power once in a while,” he said.

Goswami shared an anecdote which he termed “another mistake” in his career. This incident happened when actor Sanjay Dutt was being transported from Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail to Pune’s Yerwada prison. “I sent my reporters and camerapersons to cover Dutt’s story. While I was having my lunch, I got a phone call from someone in Bengaluru, who had been following my career and Times Now since a long time. He vowed never to watch my channel again. I was surprised and asked him why. He said that his best friend, Colonel Vasanth Venugopal had died in a combat with terrorists. But, not a single news channel had bothered to cover the martyrdom of this man. I was shocked and apologised to him. Suddenly, the whole Dutt drama looked puerile to me. I invited the man to come on my programme, and he agreed.”

But, Goswami was in for a surprise. Before he went live, he asked his producer if the guest was ready. His producer replied, “Yes, she is ready”. Goswami told him it was a man, who had called up but his producer interrupted and said, “Col. Venugopal’s wife, Subhashini, decided to come on your programme.”

Goswami recalled, “Here was a lady, who had cremated her husband four hours ago. What do I ask her? I started off by asking some opening questions. She spoke for 10 minutes from her heart – about her husband, about how proud she was of him and about her children. I got a call from Col. J. J. Singh, who was the chief of army staff at that time. He asked me for the brave lady’s number. The incident changed my perspective of journalism forever.”

Towards the end of his speech, Goswami posed a thought-provoking question: “What kind of media do you want? Do you want this media, irrespective of how noisy, argumentative and difficult it is? Or, would you like to have the tame, quiet and sophisticated media that bowls underhand deliveries?”

Subhash Chandra files defamation case against Delhi CM

NEW DELHI: Subhash Chandra, Chairman of Essel Group and Zee, has filed a criminal defamation case in a Delhi court last week against Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The plea, filed in Patiala House Court, said that while addressing a press conference on 11 November, 2016 — four days after PM Modi announced demonetisation of Rs 500 and 1000 notes to arrest the rising menace of black money — Kejriwal made “false, fabricated and defamatory allegations” against Chandra alluding that he had amassed black money.

According to the complaint, the Delhi Chief Minister had “defamed the complainant (Chandra) by making inherently defamatory statements and caused serious harm to his reputation by imputing behaviour incompatible with proper conduct and suggestions of involvement in illegal activity.”

Kejriwal had been slapped with a similar complaint in Delhi High Court by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who had said that allegations were made against him without any basis and which amounted to character assassination.“There are many decisions in life that you don’t want to take initially, but you’re left with no other option except that. Personally, I didn’t find any happiness in doing what I have done; in fact it pained me a lot,” in a Facebook post on Sunday Chandra said, adding, “I have had differences of opinion with him (Kejriwal) on numerous occasions but never have I stooped so low and passed any personal remarks on him.”

Sometime back Chandra had created a stir in the media with his support to the government-imposed one-day ban on NDTV India news channel for breaching content code related to national security issues that was subsequently withdrawn. He has also openly favoured the government’s move on demonetisation — criticised by many as an ill-thought and badly implemented move that has hobbled a large swathe of Indians — saying in the long run the initiative would benefit the country.

Pointing out that he had supported the Delhi CM’s various initiatives, including the odd-even number formula to check vehicular pollution in Delhi area when many had ridiculed the move, Chandra said, “I was one amongst the few and the first to have appreciated his move. Not because of any ulterior motive like his, but for the interest of Delhi-ites. Was I having `black money’ even then?”

“What if I say that the Delhi CM had indulged in malpractices to win the Delhi election and he had taken bribe from the Congress Party to contest against Prime Minister Modi in Varanasi and he had paid and hired people to assault him in public and so on. I know all of this is false and so I will never question his integrity and make such personal and baseless remarks. Similarly, what gives him the right to do so?” quipped Chandra, a Member of Parliament of Rajya Sabha or Upper House.

He further went on to ask: “Just because I run a news organization with which he (Kejriwal) is not in good terms or because I, like the whole nation, welcomed the Prime Minister’s demonetization masterstroke or because now I’ve been elected to the Rajya Sabha (public servant), gives him the right to hurl personal abuses?

“And if he or his social media warriors or other AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) cadres, who have always found some pleasure in abusing me, are reading this then I want to humbly tell them that kindly convey it to the Hon’ble Delhi CM who enjoys your support that I never have and never will take any attack on me lightly. It wasn’t an attack just on me but the 10,000 colleagues of mine and the billion hearts and lives that we have touched. Come what may, any further baseless and allegation and remark will be dealt under the provision of law, of which I am a firm believer, unlike the Honourable Chief Minister.”

Chandra’s parting advise to Kejriwal in Hindustani that translates into English as: People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
