    Talenthouse India to host 2nd edition of India Mobile Film Festival

    MUMBAI: Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films India Mobile Film Festival (IMFF 2016), in association with Reliance Communication & Talent house India, have created a platform for filmmakers to showcase their original creations by just using their mobile phones. The objective was to create a game changing platform for short films in India, which reduces the entry barrier for film-makers and bring creativity to the forefront. With a variety of smart phones on the market, every smartphone user (220 Mn+) in India is a potential film-maker.

    Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films also showcases films made by some of India’s finest such as Anurag Kashyap, Sudhir Mishra, Sujoy Ghosh and inspires aspiring directors to create film and rewards them for their originality by showcasing them on the platform.

    Talenthouse India CEO Arun Mehra said, “After a successful first edition in 2015 where we received around 400 films and support from the industry and film-makers, we set out to make 2016 even bigger than last year. Talenthouse India is the largest curator of short films in India over the last 3 years. The idea of using a mobile phone to shoot films, had to be taken to the next level and we added a new Internationalfilm category this year because we believe that this format is global in nature. With support from our partners, Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films & Reliance Communications, we were delighted to receive over 1200 films across categories from 7 countries. The artistic community has always provided us with exceptional content and this time has been no different.”

    IMFF 2016 reached out to film-makers and budding artists across 60 Indian cities through a combination of Digital & on-ground outreach program. According to the IMFF figures, the combined reach for this campaign was about 5 Million and as a result, the campaign crowdsourced over 1200 films from across 60 cities and 7 countries in just 6 weeks.

    This year, the India Mobile Film Festival invited participation in five categories included the newly inducted International category. The categories in 2016 are: Short films (5-10 mins), Micro films (2-5 mins), Nano films (up to 2 mins), International films (up to 10 mins) and My first short (Any interesting, quirky or impactful moments captured candidly on mobile) with cash prizes of over INR 3 lakh and individual awards to be won across categories.

    A panel of renowned jury members, spearheaded by our Chief Mentor Sanjay Gadhvi – (superhit Director of Dhoom 1 and 2) have selected the very best films along with the highly respected film and television actress Shubha Khote, popular Film Actor and Producer Karan Shah, Superhit Editor Rameshwar S. Bhagat and film writer Rohit Banawlikar.

    MUMBAI: ABSOLUT, the world’s most iconic vodka is giving a lifetime opportunity to India’s talented artists and creative minds to design forthe first ever ‘ABSOLUT India Limited Edition’ and be part of the rich creative heritage of ABSOLUT.  Launched primarily in Americas and Europe, and now India will celebrate its very own Limited Edition for ABSOLUT and join the league of rare limited editions. .

    This initiative will put India on the global vodka map with the other leading markets.

    Z3 ties up with Talenthouse to crowdsource its creative campaign idea

    MUMBAI: Zodiac Clothing’s casual wear brand Z3 has partnered with creative crowd sourcing platform Talenthouse India for the second time to design the first look for the brand’s next creative campaign.

    The winning entry might get the opportunity to be featured across print and outdoor for one of the brand’s communication campaigns.

    Previously, Zodiac Clothing partnered with Talenthouse to hunt for a male model which was a huge success for the brand. Z3, which was launched in 2008, has the tagline “Relaxed Luxury” that talks about the brand promise.

    Z3 VP marketing Imraan Surve said, “We believe that getting the consumers involved in branding and strategizing for Z3 gives the brand a wider scope for visibility, appreciation and growth. After seeing the quality of entries received in our earlier partnership with Talenthouse India for our brand ZOD!, we are confident to see some fantastic campaign ideas soon.”

    Talenthouse CEO Arun Mehra said, “Creative crowdsourcing is a revolutionary breakthrough the world over but is currently in its nascent stage in India. Even several advertising agencies have begun to embrace crowdsourcing platforms.”

    The jury will choose the winner from all qualified submissions with special consideration for the top voted entries. The winner will receive a grand prize of Rs 125,000 and his entry could be featured as the next creative campaign for Z3. There are also a first Runner-up and Popular Choice winner who will receive Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.

    Talenthouse India has a community of approx. 35,000 creative artists and wants to use this partnership to explore cracking advertising & branding ideas through crowdsourcing.

    The creative invite is open to anybody and everybody with a creative bent of mind who can visually depict it. The entries will be judged by Z3marketing manager Karan Shetty, Draft FCB creative director Haresh Moorjani and Mehra.

    Choreographer Pony Verma seeks assistant via crowd sourcing

    MUMBAI: All these days we heard filmmakers resorting to crowd sourcing to fund their films. What is new is that choreographer Pony Verma has resorted to crowd sourcing in association with Talenthouse to find herself an assistant.

    “My partnership with Talenthouse will help bridge the gap between Indian terrains with its capacity to reach out to the masses through the internet and crowd sourcing. It is a brilliant initiative that will help aspiring performers to showcase their creativity and get the much needed exposure and recognition,” Verma said in a statement.

    Globally, many mega events are done through crowd sourcing. The well known hip-hop band, The Black Eyed Peas, had interestingly used crowd sourcing to excite and hook the audience to their performance at Oprah`s 24th season kickoff party in Chicago last year,” she added.

    Crowd sourcing has become a lucrative way of searching for talent, said Talenthouse India CEO Arun Mehra. “Bollywood is currently using crowd sourcing to find new talent and through this creative invite, we want to reach out to dance choreographers and give them an opportunity to be a part of the ever growing film industry thus bringing them one step closer to fulfilling their Bollywood dream, he observed.

    The selected winner will get to work at Verma‘s dance academy ISPA as head-trainer and a chance to assist her in her future Bollywood projects.

    While the online submission deadline is 3 May, the winner will be announced on 31May.
