    Arun Aggarwal appointed Zee Turner CFO

    NEW DELHI: Zee Turner, a joint venture between Zee Telefilms and Time Warner, is getting itself a chief finance officer (CFO) in the form of Arun Aggarwal.

    Aggarwal, who has been heading the credit control division of Zee Telefilms in Mumbai, has been transferred to the joint venture company, which pushes ahead to expand the market for Zee and Turner bouqet of channels.

    Aggarwal, a finance person, has been with Zee Telefilms for the past six years.

    Zee Turner, a 74:26 joint venture, is responsible for distribution of 17-odd channels , including Zee TV, CNN, Pogo, Cartoon Network, VH1, HBO, Zee Music, Zee News and Alpha brand of regional channels.

    Incidenatlly, HBO also has joined the Zee bandwagon and is now available on the DTH platform of Dish TV, 20 per cent owned by Zee Tele

  • IBF-AAAI to conduct online billing review session

    MUMBAI: IBF-AAAI have in the past few months developing a software that would allow their monthly billing and payment procedure to go online.

    Called the ‘Online Billing, Reconciliation and Outstanding Review (OBROR)’ and developed with inputs from a number of TV channels, leading advertising agencies with the help of U-TO Solutions Pvt Ltd, and with the inputs from Junaid Banatwala of Sab TV and Nilesh Sanghoi of Star TV, the software has been tested for accuracy by various advertising agencies as well as by Ashok Soni, Star TV and Arun Aggarwal, Zee TV who have informed members of the joint working committee about the finalisation of the software and the software being in its final stage.

    The IBF-AAAI JWC in order to apprise IT managers and representatives of IBF and AAAI have organised a training session on Thursday, 18 November.

    Besides appraising members on all the features and functions of OBROR, the training session would also entail a Q & A session and would run through practical examples which would help agencies and channels to prepare files for invoice / payment uploads.

    Speaking Junaid Banatwala of Sab TV and Nilesh Sanghoi of Star TV, and other experts from U-TO Solutions will be present and would be able to take the output from their own systems and run it through the bridging program to import it into OBROR under their own respective accounts.

    Since the OBROR application is web-based, it would not require to be installed at each channel/agency end.

    The transition to this online monthly billing and payment process between channels/agencies in terms of migration of their data to OBROR is scheduled to take place in end November.
