    Internal research by Hoopr highlights music as a key driver of content performance. Short-format videos using music achieve 4.3 times higher visibility, with trending festive tracks alongside influencers boosting engagement by up to 17 times.     MUMBAI:  In a move that has more twists than a Hindi cinema blockbuster, Sujith Kumar has swapped his role as head of brand partnerships at Swiggy SteppinOut for a senior manager position at BookMyShow, India’s entertainment ticketing titan. The career hop, announced this month, sees the marketing maestro taking his knack for turning consumers into brand evangelists to fresh pastures.

    Kumar’s track record reads like a greatest hits album of Indian entertainment marketing. At Swiggy SteppinOut, he orchestrated partnerships spanning food, music, comedy and lifestyle events, including the launch of “Supper Clubs of India”—intimate dining experiences showcasing regional cuisines that had Mumbai’s foodies queuing round the block.

    His previous stint at Paytm Insider proved particularly lucrative, where he built the brand partnerships team from scratch. The portfolio included managing Arijit Singh’s five-city tour and pioneering Van Heusen’s first metaverse concert—a digital-age spectacle that had traditionalists scratching their heads and millennials reaching for their wallets.

    The marketing maverick’s earlier adventures include a two-and-a-half-year spell at Sony Music Entertainment, where his mission statement “turn music fans into brand fans” became the stuff of industry legend. He juggled over 80 active brand strategies across south India, orchestrating collaborations with musical heavyweights including Badshah and Anirudh Ravichander.

    At ESPN, Kumar cut his teeth managing marketing for ESPNcricinfo during cricket’s golden television era, overseeing campaigns for the 2015 World Cup and IPL. His creation of CricIQ, billed as India’s largest cricket quiz platform, proved that sports and smartphones could be a winning combination long before fantasy leagues became the rage.

    Now at BookMyShow Live, Kumar faces the challenge of making brands feel rather than merely seen when “the lights dim and the fans roar.” Given his penchant for turning spectators into spenders, India’s entertainment industry may have found its most valuable player yet.

    The motorcycle enthusiast, who founded BrosonWheelsOfficial and treats riding as his “refresh button,” appears ready to take the brand partnerships game into top gear. For an industry where attention spans are shorter than TikTok videos, that could be music to corporate ears.

But it turns out, Nisha has epilepsy, which reasons Ajay to not take her anywhere lest she has a seizure and embarrass him publicly. As the film unfolds, they both sort through their differences and misunderstandings and a space of comfort within each other.

Besides, after performing my first popular song ‘Bheegi Si,’ with Katrina, this is my second song with her in Sriram Raghavan sir’s film. If I emphasized the composition so much then definitely Pritam Da has really outdone himself. Again, it’s not very easy to fit a romantic song into a thriller movie! Also, this is my first work with Varun Grover. I’ve been a fan of his ever since I watched ‘Masan”.

    This classic song was written by Varun and we loved it In a nutshell, I just want to say that working with the “Raat Akeli Thi” team will always be a delight for me.”

    Mumbai: Spotify Premium has launched ‘Feel The Music’, a campaign that brings listeners closer to their favourite artists by bringing the moments of music creation to the forefront. There are over 35 local and global artists whose behind-the-scenes footage of recording and performing songs will be a part of the campaign.

    “Music making is an art that takes numerous hours, practice sessions, artists, instruments, and emotions. As listeners, we come to love that music and artist, but often do not know the effort that went into making that song – the passion, the hard work, the love, the pain. The new Spotify Premium campaign,‘Feel The Music’, is about that creative process, so that listeners truly feel connected to the songs in the best way possible”, said Spotify marketing director Neha Ahuja.

    The first film to go live today is one that features Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy for Dil Chahta Hai. Released in 2001, the song and film score sounds still as fresh today, and the video takes the listeners through how the trio brought the title track together. Over the coming weeks, Spotify will release more films that will be featured on digital platforms and in movie theatres, and static creatives that will feature on outdoor media.

    Revel In The Magical Moments With ‘GiMA Rewind’ This Sunday!

    MUMBAI: India’s biggest celebration of music, The Global Indian Music Academy (GiMA) has been an annual celebration of music in India for a number of years. With The 6th Gionee Colors Gima Awards Co Powered By Hungama & Renault to be broadcast on 5th June, the Academy will air a one hour special titled GiMA Rewind that puts together the most dazzling moments from the GiMA Awards from 11 am to 12 noon on Colors this Sunday, 29th May

    Aptly titled ‘GiMA Rewind’, this segment will take you through the most illustrious moments from GiMA, from talented Indian musicians performing on stage to the star-studded acts each year. This 1-hour long episode will feature the King of Playback, Arijit Singh serenading the audience with his soul- stirring performance at GiMA 2015 as well as Ranveer Singh’s rap in GiMA 2014 which he dedicated to the music industry. The Year 2012 saw a number of acts with Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha’shigh energy act on her hit songs like ‘Go Go Govinda’, ‘Chinta Ta’ with a surprise guest Mika Singh at the GiMA stage. Adding to the night, her co-star and Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgan also joined her on-stage to groove on the title track of ‘Son of Sardar’. This performance will certainly be remembered and it is no surprise that fans will get to relive the energy once more through GiMA Rewind. The

    GiMA 2012 had hit a crescendo with the heartfelt tribute to living musical maestro AR Rahman for completing 20 years in the industry. Leading musicians Hariharan & Sadhna Sargam, Udit Narayana, Alka Yagnik, Mohit Chouhan and Sonu Nigamjoined together as they presented their renditions of some of his hit songs like ‘Dil Hai Chota Sa’, ‘Chanda Re’, ‘Mitwa’ and ‘Sadda Haq’ to name a few . The musical experience created by renowned Composer Pritam alongside his band at GiMA 2015 can be revived once again with the Rewind special.

    Last year also featured a special act by Sonu Nigam, Suresh Wadkar and Shankar Mahadevan, amongst others to pay a special tribute to Indian composer Anandji Virji Shah who received the Lifetime Achievement Award – Popular.
