    Sohail Khan mulls Iron Man in Hindi

    MUMBAI: Sohail Khan is set to make a Hindi version of Iron Man.

    Understandably, Salman Khan is being cast as Iron Man. Also in the cast will be Deepika Padukone who will reprise the role of Black Widow, Arjun Rampal as Captain America and Sohail Khan as Thor amongst others.

    Iron Man was a 2008 American science fiction superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The film, directed by Jon Favreau, starred Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Robert Downey JR as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

    Reportedly, Salman Khan will take up the film soon after he finishes with Arbaaz Khan’s Dabaang 2.

    MUMBAI: YRF‘s Salman khan-starrer Ek Tha Tiger has been tipped for an Eid release. Going by the penchant of Khan to release his films on the occasion of Eid, it was being rumoured that his other starrer Dabaang 2 would also release on Eid.

    But the rumours have been put to rest by the makers of Dabaang 2. The film will now release during Christmas. The reason: Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2 are completely different films but releasing two films of Khan on the same day wouldn’t be advisable.

    Producer-director Arbaaz Khan feels that crowding the Eid weekend with two Salman releases wouldn‘t be good.

    Meanwhile YRF‘s other release Ishaqzaade will now release on 11th instead of 18 May. The pre-poning of the release is due to the postponing of Vidhu Vinod Chopra‘s Ferrari ki Sawaari that was to release on 11 May but was later postponed.

    YRF confirmed, “With Ferrari ki Sawaari moving to a later date and the IPL crunch matches kicking in from 18 May, this shift will give Ishaqzaade a better window for release.”

    This means that Ishaqzaade will clash with the Kareena Kapoor-starrer Dangerous Ishq that also releases on 11 May.

    Entire studio on hire for shooting schedule of Dabaang 2

    MUMBAI: For the first time in Bollywood, an entire studio has been booked exclusively for a film. Kamal Amrohi Studios at Jogeshwari (East) has been booked for the shooting of the Salman Khan-starrer Dabaang 2.

    This means that the studio that houses 12 units will not be given out on hire till the first schedule of Dabangg 2 concludes, making it a first in the 55-year-old studio’s history.

    If that were not enough, producer and director Arbaaz Khan has deputed 80 security personnel to guard the sets, that resembles pockets of Kanpur.

    “This arrangement is exclusive to Salman. Till date, we haven’t extended such privileges to anybody. We are very close to him and his family. But please don’t ask me about the rates. We don’t discuss that on public platforms,” head honcho of Kamal Amrohi Studios Tajdar Amrohi has reportedly said.

    In another move, 80 bodyguards have been selected to man the studio for the entire shooting schedule. Earlier, the studio was booked for Rakesh Roshan’s Koyla and Subhash Ghai’s Khalnayak and had top security, but other units at the studio were given out for shoots of television shows.

    UTV denies buying rights of Dabaang 2

    MUMBAI: UTV Motion Pictures has rubbished rumours going around in trade circles about it purchasing the rights of the sequel to Salman Khan-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dabangg 2.

    Refuting all talk that the production house has picked up the rights of the Salman Khan film for Rs 1.40 billion including the print and advertising costs, UTV Motion Pictures has denied it totally and issued a statement.

    “There have been irresponsible reports in certain sections of the media that UTV has bought the rights for Dabangg 2 for Rs 1.40 billion, despite us clearly denying this. We would like to clarify that UTV has not purchased the rights of the movie in question. We have been very open about announcing our new projects and communicated them to the media and will continue to do so. We hope this puts all speculations to rest, ” reads an official statement from UTV Motion Pictures.

    The 2010 action film was directed by Abhinav Kashyap and produced by Arbaaz under the Arbaaz Khan Productions.

    To be directed by producer Arbaaz Khan himself, Dabaang-2 would see the appearance of our ex-cricket captain Sourav Ganguly in a guest role. Ganguly will reprise the character of a player and the proposed name of the character that he would be playing is called Daddu Singh.

    The sequel is expected to go on floors in March and the film has been scheduled to release during Christmas this year.

    Salman Khan eyeing two Telugu films for remake

    MUMBAI: After successfully remaking Pokkiri, Bodyguard, Ready and Kick, Salman Khan is now considering remakes of Telugu hit Kandireega and yet-to-be-released Dookudu.

    Reportedly, Arbaaz Khan recently contacted Bellamkonda Suresh, producer of Kandireega and asked him for a copyright of his film. Admitting the same, the producer said that not only Salman Khan, but also quite a few other directors have showed interest to remake Kandireega in Hindi.

    Khan also has fancy for Mahesh Babu’s ‘Dookudu’ and the actor wants to remake it in Hindi. He intends to finalise the project once he is back from US.
