    Havmor appoints Anindya Dutta as managing director

    MUMBAI: Havmor, India’s leading ice cream brand and a wholly owned subsidiary of South Korean conglomerate Lotte Confectionery, has appointed Anindya Dutta as its new managing director.

    He will be the first MD after Lotte acquired Havmor Ice Cream in December 2017.

    Anindya will be taking forward Lotte’s vision of expanding its business footprint in India. His mission will be at one end to leverage the legacy, the category expertise and brand equity that Havmor enjoys in the ice cream category to rapidly scale up the business towards a national leadership position and at the other end to evaluate and build synergistic expansion into adjacent categories.

    Anindya brings 20+ years of leadership experience in the food industry across business verticals and categories including bakery, dairy and confectionery. Prior to joining Havmor, he was with Britannia for the last 17 years in roles of increasing impact in sales, marketing, strategy and P&L Management.

    In his past assignments at Britannia he was heading the dairy and bread business and more recently he was leading the international expansion of Britannia as the vice president of international business.

    Havmor ice cream, now a part of Lotte Confectionery, is one of the largest ice-cream brands in India. Over several years of its existence, the brand has worked tirelessly to deliver a differentiated product to its consumers – always keeping things real. With its last campaign the brand introduced ‘The Cool Gaiz (cows)’ and repositioned itself as an ice cream ‘Made of Milk’ which reflects the core brand philosophy and what the brand has always stood for.

    In the last decade, Havmor has grown ten-fold, establishing a strong brand presence and emerging as one of the fastest growing, most loved ice cream brand of the country. It is one of the few brands which operates both in retail with a network of over 40,000 ice cream outlets and a franchisee parlour model. Currently it operates 250+ flagship ice cream parlours across the country with a plan to add at least 100 more by 2020.

    While innovation forms the essence of every creation at Havmor, the brand ensures to introduce real innovations to its consumers with products ranging from a ‘paan ice cream’, ‘ladoo ice cream’ to premium flavours like Belgian dark chocolate, mocha or hazelnut chiffon.     MUMBAI: iProspect India, the digital performance agency from Dentsu Aegis Network, has appointed Asad Khan and Vishal Shah as senior directors to lead the SEO practice at the agency.

    With more than eight years of experience, Khan has chiefly been responsible for expanding business for the Southeast Asian & Oceania markets and leading strategic planning for e-commerce portfolios. His core strengths lie in formulating data driven integrated search strategies using an agile marketing approach.

    Publicis India appoints Neeraj Bassi as managing partner & chief strategy officer

    MUMBAI: Publicis India has appointed Neeraj Bassi as managing partner and chief strategy officer.

    Neeraj will be based out of the agency’s New Delhi office. Along with Srija Chatterjee and Bobby Pawar, Neeraj will help in fostering collaboration and delivering on the Power of One synergies across the Groupe.

    With over two decades of professional experience, Neeraj has worked with some of the world’s most renowned brands including Coca-Cola, Asian Paints, Cadbury, BMW, KFC, Adidas, Samsung, British Airways, WeChat, Voltas, Audi, HSBC, Max Life and Tata Singapore Airlines – Vistara among others.

    He joins Publicis after a brief stint as an independent Consultant where he provided strategic guidance and brand solutions for multiple clients across various categories. Neeraj has worked with some of the top market research networks such as TNS, IMRB and NFO and led the Strategic Planning function in advertising agencies including Cheil, Ogilvy, JWT, McCann in India and abroad. Neeraj has also won multiple awards across reputed award festivals that recognise effectiveness such as Effies (India & APAC), AMES, WARC, etc.

    Indigo Consulting appoints Prasanna Kulkarni as head of creative

    MUMBAI: Indigo Consulting has bolstered its key leadership team with the appointment of Prasanna Kulkarni as head of creative.

    Prasanna has 20 years of advertising, brand strategy and digital media experience, and his last stint was with Cheil India as creative head  of digital. At Indigo Consulting, he will be based out of Mumbai and will report to Indigo Consulting CEO Rajesh Ghatge.

He is a highly-celebrated advertising professional, with several industry awards under his belt.

    Sajeev Rajasekharan joins Harley Davidson India as MD

    MUMBAI: Sajeev Rajasekharan, former EVP of Suzuki Motorcycle India, has joined Harley Davidson India as the managing director.

    In his new role, he will be driving Harley Davidson's recently announced plans to launch mid-size motorcycles in the 250-500 cc range in India.

    Rajasekharan joined Suzuki as executive vice president for sales and after-sales in July 2016.

    Rajasekharan has over two decades of experience in marketing, sales and operations having worked with Panasonic India as the deputy divisional managing director, Electrolux India and Samsung India.

    In July, Harley Davidson announced its plans to launch a mid-size motorcycle in the 250-500 cc range for emerging markets with a focus in India and to challenge Royal Enfield’s leadership position.

    MUMBAI: In order to bolster its growth strategy and leadership team, Havas India has appointed Rana Barua as the new CEO.

    In his new role Barua will be responsible for Havas India’s transformation and growth, with a focus on collaboration and partnerships, new business momentum, and building and leading teams.

    Prior to this, Barua held CEO roles with Contract India, Creativeland Asia, and worked with agencies like Ogilvy, Rediffusion Y&R, McCann, JWT and held leadership profiles in leading radio stations, such as Red FM and Radio City.

    Barua will report to Havas Group India and Southeast Asia chairman and CEO Vishnu Mohan and will work closely with the existing leadership teams.

    Mohan says, “Rana’s appointment is a key milestone in the Group’s ongoing efforts to build agile teams and integrated structures to deliver the most impact for clients.     He has close to18 years of work experience in advertising and his last tenure was with Happy Mcgarrybowen, Bangalore.

    MUMBAI: FCB Ulka has appointed Theresa Ronnie as the new head of office for Bengaluru.

    In her role, Theresa will be responsible for upping the ante for the Bangalore office.

    Theresa will report to FCB Ulka CEO Nitin Karkare and will be based out of the Bangalore office.

    Theresa is a brand communications specialist with over 16 years in the business of shaping brands. She joins from Publicis, where she was heading the Bengaluru operations. Theresa has worked at agency teams in JWT and Rediffusion in India and with Bates, M&C Saatchi and Leo Burnett in Dubai and Malaysia respectively.

    Some of the brands she has shaped in the past include Ford, Citibank, Swatch, MontBlanc, Volkswagen, PETRONAS, Heineken, Amstel, Kingfisher Ultra and Ultra Max.

    MUMBAI: Anil Kumar from Wavemaker has joined Spatial Access, India’s first and largest media audit and advisory company, as its head of strategy. Kumar comes with over two decades of experience having worked in multiple markets and agencies, recently with Wavemaker, Mumbai.

    “Anil’s one point agenda will be to bring more transparency and better ROI for our client’s media spends,” said Spatial Access CEO Vineet Sodhani. “His deep and wide experience in media agencies and media houses will help us drive our transparency agenda.
