    Gozoop onboards Aakash P Shah as associate director, brand solutions

    Mumbai: The digital-first integrated marketing agency Gozoop has strengthened its leadership by appointing Aakash P Shah as associate director – brand solutions. 

    Shah will be contributing to the growth of the company by aligning new partnerships and businesses and report to Gozoop CEO & co-founder Ahmed Aftab Naqvi, said the press statement.

    Shah joins Gozoop with more than eight years of work experience in the field of 360-degree advertising, branding, sales & marketing strategy. He has been instrumental in his long stint at communication boot camp & IdeateLabs, across industries like real estate, F&B, FMCG, and media.

    Mumbai: E-learning platform BeyondSkool has announced Nimit Jaiswal as its chief growth officer. In his new role, Jaiswal is responsible for the company’s growth and brand strategy.

    An IIM Bangalore alumnus, Jaiswal comes with seven years of experience having worked with companies like Xanadu, Lodha Group, and ZS Associates in the past. Before joining BeyondSkool, he was working with Helppo as a founding member and the head of product and marketing.

    Speaking about the appointment, Beyondskool CEO and founder, Payal Gaba said, “Nimit is a result-oriented leader who comes with a deep understanding of business growth and data-driven marketing.     Royal Enfield CEO Vinod Dasari moves on, B Govindarajan new ED

    Mumbai: Eicher Motors has announced that Royal Enfield chief executive officer Vinod K Dasari has stepped down from the company. Dasari has also resigned as executive director of the board of Eicher Motors. The resignation will come into effect from 13 August. Dasari will be succeeded by B Govindarajan, who has been the chief operating officer of Royal Enfield since 2013.

    Dasari’s decision to move on is to dedicate time and energy to pursue his passion and ambition in affordable healthcare. He recently set up and inaugurated a not-for-profit hospital in Chennai. “It has been a very memorable ride over the last two years and more at Royal Enfield. I have decided to move on, so I can dedicatedly follow a personal passion that has been close to me for many years now,” said Dasari.

    Prior to joining Royal Enfield in April 2019, Dasari was the CEO and managing director of Ashok Leyland, a position he held since 2011. He had joined Ashok Leyland as CEO in 2005.

    “Vinod has made significant contributions to the organisation,” said Eicher Motors MD, Siddhartha Lal. “Right from his unwavering focus on customer-facing digital properties, to driving network expansion, to building several new services and solutions-oriented initiatives, he has helped the company take giant steps forward. He also very ably led the company through tough and unprecedented times over the last year and a half.”

    B Govindarajan, who has spent more than 23 years across Royal Enfield and Eicher Motors, will be inducted as a whole time director on the board of Eicher Motors and will take charge as executive director of Royal Enfield from 18 August, the company said.

    “Govind brings on board an astute understanding of the industry, with strong technical know-how, combined with a sharp strategic outlook and operational excellence,” Siddhartha Lal stated. “He has led several turnkey projects for Royal Enfield and has been instrumental in growing and expanding our manufacturing facilities, in bringing a paradigm shift in our product quality, delivery and development process, and in setting up our two state-of-the-art technology centres in India and the UK.”

    NPCI Bharat BillPay appoints Noopur Chaturvedi as CEO

    Mumbai: The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on Thursday said it has appointed Noopur Chaturvedi as chief executive officer (CEO) of NPCI Bharat BillPay Ltd (NBBL).

    As its CEO, Chaturvedi’s mandate is to work on the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) vision to scale up the Bharat Bill Pay platform (BBPS) and make it the most preferred solution for all bill payments. She will work closely with the BBPS ecosystem to grow digital bill payments with superior customer experience, said the press statement.

    Chaturvedi comes with two decades of experience in the banking and fintech industry. Prior to NPCI, she held leadership positions at PayU and Airtel Payments Bank. She started her BFSI journey with CitiBank and has also worked with ING Vysya Bank, Samsung, and Infosys, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and management from IIM Lucknow.

    NBBL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Payments Corporation of India and came into effect on 1 April. According to the statement, NBBL is growing rapidly on account of the ease and accessibility it offers to the customers and the one-stop solution to billers for low-cost collections. Currently, NBBL offers recurring payment services to customers across several segments, including bill payments for electricity, telecom, DTH, gas, education fees, water, and municipal taxes, NETC FASTag recharge, loan repayments, insurance, cable, housing society charges, and others.

    Nicholas Lim returns to The Travel Corp as new CEO

    Mumbai: Global travel company The Travel Corp (TTC) has announced the appointment of Nicholas Lim as chief executive officer, effective 16 August. As the CEO of the company, Lim will focus on the transformation of TTC’s distribution of key brands and report to TTC president Gavin Tollman.

    Lim previously headed TTC Asia as managing director from 2018 to 2020, and before that was president (Asia) for Trafalgar from 2011 to 2018. Prior to his appointment as CEO of TTC, Lim was general manager of Norwegian Cruise Lines in Asia.

    “With a strong management team in place in Asia, we are excited to have Nicholas back to help us lead the change and replicate the fantastic success he has had in the past,” Gavin Tollman said. “As travellers of the world hit the road and take to the skies again, thanks to rising vaccination rates, manageable caseloads and relaxing travel restrictions, we are confident of delivering the most enjoyable, safe, and enriching travel experiences for all our guests.”

    Mumbai: Dream Sports, which owns fantasy sports platform Dream11, has appointed Dhritiman Biswas as vice-president, public policy & government affairs.

    Prior to joining Dream Sports, Biswas was associated with Reliance Foundation as head of corporate affairs for two years.

    Biswas posted a note on LinkedIn on Wednesday announcing his move. “Joining my Dream run. Game on,” he said.

    Biswas is a government relations professional who brings about two decades of demonstrated experience in government affairs, public affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs, communications & crisis communications, grassroots advocacy, and coalition/industry association management. 

    Previously, he has worked with companies like Asian Paints, Abbott, Walmart, Bharti Retail Ltd (Easyday), and Burson Marsteller.

    Mumbai: Research and data analytics services firm SG Analytics has appointed Kulwinder Singh as its chief marketing officer. In his new role, Singh will be leading the company’s brand management, digital marketing, public relations, and employer branding initiatives. 

    Singh has more than 20 years of experience in senior marketing, communication, and brand management roles. Previously, he was associated with Cadila Pharma, where he chaired the position of chief communication officer. While he was responsible for the digital marketing and communication strategy, he also led the human resource function at Cadila for a year. Singh has held marketing, brand management, and communication management roles at reputed companies including – Edifecs, Synechron, VenSat, and Tech Mahindra. 

    Singh’s appointment is the latest development in a landmark year for SG Analytics wherein the company grew phenomenally and strengthened its leadership team.

    Mumbai: Ingka Group-owned IKEA India on Wednesday announced the elevation of Nivedeeta Moirangthem as the country communications manager to lead its total communications portfolio including public relations, public affairs and co-worker communication and represent the retail entity as a spokesperson and as an external representative for all Ingka entities in India. She will be a part of the IKEA India management team and report to CEO and chief sustainability officer (CSO), Peter Betzel.

    In her new role, Moirangthem will work closely with the business and key stakeholders to support IKEA India’s ambitious India expansion plans. She will also be closely involved with transformation initiatives as IKEA continues its digital transformation journey towards establishing itself as an omnichannel retailer, the company said in a statement. Moirangthem and team will continue to strengthen the communication agenda and IKEA’s positioning in India, it added.

    Moirangthem commands 23 years of experience in corporate communications & PR, advertising, internal communications, stakeholder engagement, and supply chain communication in the South Asia region. She has been associated with IKEA for close to 20 years. In her previous assignment, she has worked with McCann Erickson India.
